The Return - Part 2: Millennial Dawn

Rate this book
Robert still had half the length of the country to travel, before he reached Sierra. With the
turmoil gripping the world he worried she might not be alive by the time he reached California.
Not too long ago, Robert could have simply taken a two-day bus ride to reach her. But now,
gangs, pockets of civil unrest, and the Nationalist government itself stood in the way of him
safely finding the woman he loved and asking her to marry him. It seemed that every community
he traveled through needed his help . . . and Heavenly Father wanted him to do exactly that.

Sierra struggles to survive. Life in California was under new management and the
government wasn’t interested in helping the people. Caught between an evil government, the
increasing power of local street gangs, and a resistance movement that has claimed the lives of
her father and one of her brothers, she finds it increasingly more difficult to remain neutral. No
matter what side she takes . . . she’s bound to die.

Sarah finds the comfort in her marriage to Barth that has long escaped her. Her efforts to
be a good neighbor aren’t enough in the politically divisive climate of her home town. Violent
mobs of anti-Christians patrol the streets, looking for any excuse to pounce on the portion of the
population they blame for all the world’s problems.

John is once again far from his family, leading a wagon train east. This band of modern-
day pioneers plan to build New Jerusalem in anticipation of the Second Coming. But being well
prepared makes them a target for bands of ex-military, bandits, and starving civilians. Is the
dream of utopian city in which Christ will dwell too good of thing to be true?

Set in the near-future, The Return – Part 2: Millennial Dawn is the final book in The
Gathering series, which follows the lives of good people from an ordinary family as they face the
devastation of the apocalypse.

RANDY LINDSAY is a world traveler. Which sounds impressive until you realize the worlds he visits exist only in his mind and on the pages of his novels. He claims to prefer this method of sightseeing because he can stop at any time, go to the kitchen, and indulge his ice cream addiction. When he isn't busy making things up he likes going to movies with his wife to watch what other people have made up and plays board games with his children who are in the habit of making up the rules as they go along.
