I really enjoyed this book and the series. I’m so happy my daughter suggested it to me. Looking forward to the next one.

Actually read through this super fast, was really enjoyable and funny like the last book. However, I actually never ended up finishing the first Thursday Murder Club, for some reason it didn’t grip me like this second one.

This is for The Man That Died Twice. I'll be reading #3 next. Osman has solidified a place in my heart for his clever plots and his engaging characters. Each not like the other but bonded together firmly, The Thursday Murder Club members have found renewed energy in solving crimes. This plot is really fine, complex and contains some nice turns. And for once even Elizabeth admits to "being too clever by half" before solving the crime. I love this quartet and their surrounding buddies. Osman is a fine tactician and a wonderful writer. His Joyce is a magnificent combination of empathy, sympathy and often meandering thoughts. She's a flirt who never misses an opportunity to appraise a man. But her heart, if not her brain, is always in the right place. Ron and Ibrahim are finely drawn characters, too. Along with Chris, Donna and Brogdan, this team is unstoppable!

I really enjoyed the first three of Richard Osman's "The Thursday Murder Club" books. Although I initially felt that the first one was a little bit slow to get going, I quickly changed my mind!

The books are clever and well written, and I love the elements of word-play that make up clues to the mystery.

Just when I think I have the mystery figured out and solved in my head, a new nugget of information is thrown in which makes me start guessing all over again.

Fabulous books that keep me thinking and engaged, with a sprinkle of wit, humour and emotion which keeps them relatable and human.

Currently reading book 4. 130 pages in and I have already laughed and cried! I look forward to reading on.

Enjoyed it but it was the weakest so far. A slightly confusing plot with lots of new characters and twists and turns. In the end the villain was the Chief Constable which seemed a bit far fetched - but then isn’t the whole idea of 4 geriatrics solving major crimes, taking the law into their own hands along the way, rather odd.

Stephen played a greater part in this book and seems to have a lease of life which only makes me think he is not long for this world.

Donna and Bogdon get it together - I’m not quite sure how a policewoman and a criminal are going to make a ho of it, but it is only a book.

If you suspend disbelief these books are quite good fun!

The Thursday Murder Club is at it again with a seemingly cold case that is much hotter than it looks. And because nothing with this crew is ever simple, Elizabeth might also be trying to juggle an assassination mission and Ibrahim might be in league with a notorious drug trafficker, but really--is anyone surprised?

This may be my favorite of the series so far even though the plot might be the twistiest yet. Loaded with Osman's fantastic humor and many surprises, it is entertaining all the way through.

I have read all of Osnan’s books. His writing is wry, clever and sometimes violent and sometimes very touching.
The premise of the series is that a group of retired people who live in a senior community and have many skills get together to have wine and solve murders.
These books are thoroughly enjoyable.

Sort of a slow/confusing beginning. Things started getting real interesting at the start of part two. Only downside is that part two is halfway through the book. The ending isn’t super open ended so if you’d like to dip your toe in this series without the full commitment of reading the rest then I’d say go for it!

Once again the Thursdat Murder Club manages to solve the mystery of three murders. Fiendishly clever and brimming with wit on every page. The fourseptigerian sleuths that live a Coopers Creek are a real hoot. Each with their own personalities and skills to bring to the group.

They ,manage to set involved with a drug ring, the mafia, stolen diamonds this time around. Relaxed fun read.

This mystery thriller is a fantastic read. Even during a murder investigation, the main character's witty punchlines had me laughing out loud. It's a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good blend of suspense and humour. The story also beautifully captures how, even in old age, people can act like children seeking attention.

Just finished book 3-The Bullet that Missed. The characters just keep getting richer and better defined with each book. This story had me laughing out loud at points with the dialogues and situations the characters found themselves in. I won’t give away the story but do not skip this book in the trilogy so far. It is the best yet.

The mysteries are good, yet it's the characters and their relationships with each other that really make this book (and series) a pleasure to read!
