Nice fake marriage romance. A lot of back n forth "does he or does he not" inner dialogue with MCs...so hopefully in part 2, since this ended in a cliff hanger, they will express their inner most feelings with each other and make their fake marriage real.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It’s been a while since I’ve hated a MC as much as I hated Desmond. He was an entitled snob who liked to sleep with betas every chance he got. Omegas weren’t good enough for him apparently. I tried to like Jace. I really did, but he had betrayed by his body syndrome so bad. It was so frustrating. Desmond would be a complete asshole and then he would say or do something semi nice and Jace would swoon over it like “omg he cares about me!” No dude. Desmond didn’t care about anyone but himself. This should have just been put into one book instead of making it two. Then maybe more people would have continued with the story. But reading this there’s no way I’m reading the next book of their story. I don’t care if the reviews say there’s character development. Desmond is too much of an asshole for me to read more about him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he cheats on Jace if I’m being honest. Especially since their marriage will be “fake”. I mean even in this book he was fake engaged to Jace and was about to go out with his friends to hook up with some betas. Ugh.

Jace and Desmond MM romance was spicy but complicated relationship until Jace got a message from his grandfather that he had to be married. And he had arranged marriage for him. It was mind blowing and the it was a page turner and the suspense was OMG. It was a sweet romance omega and alpha relationship. I absolutely loved it and I couldn’t even imagine of put it down.
I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for book 2. I received advance reader copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

Absolutely delicious and absolutely left me craving more. This may be been a quick read, but it packs a punch of high spice and all the alpha/omega goodness you want. I definitely love Jace and his view on life. His acceptance and ability to adapt just does it for me. And Desmond, wow, pure 100% dominance, and I'm there for it. Their relationship really mirrored life, and just having Jace bring Desmond back down out of the clouds was great. The story flowed great; the storyline was great. Overall, it was a great quick read and one I recommend.

This was my first read by this author. I just love omega books. Fake romance or not, it was a fun steamy read. This author ticked all the boxes. Not crazy about cliffhangers, but still wanted to read the book and I am glad I did. Jace and Desmond were a couple that was not meant to be, but there pheromones told a different story. Jace deserves love. I was glad that Desmond gave into his desires. A fake engagement now turning into a fake marriage? I only hope Desmond doesn't break Jace's heart.

I don’t think, given the length and the point at which the story ended, that this book should’ve been split into multiple parts and sold separately. Feels a little nickel-and-dime-y to me. It’s a fake dating billionaire omegaverse romance. There’s not much of a twist to it, really. The alpha doesn’t wanna be tied down (shocker) and the omega goes along with everything he says (stop the presses!) and is disappointed that he’s so attracted to him when he knows he doesn’t want him like that. (Groundbreaking.)

Engagement of Convenience

Honestly a bit bummed that it's a short read: I really enjoyed reading this and I cant help but feel so bad for Jace. He's a hopeless romantic, and the things that Desmond do to him hurts Jace because he's not sure whether they're genuine or for show. Desmond wants to put a boundary on thier fake relationship but he hadn't realize just how badly he's fallen for Jace.
Definitely recommend for an Omegaverse, office romance with a fake engagement trope!

short but sweet!

Beautifully written and easy to read. Desmond pike is definitely all alpha male and has set him self a rule to not entertain omegas till his grandfather starts pressuring him with an arranged marriage. Jace Takahashi is the ultimate sweetest omega who works at Desmond’s company who ends up getting roped in to being a pretend fiancé. This is the ultimate recipe of hard alpha and sweet omega. Can’t wait for book 2

Grumpy Alphahole meets sunny Omega and proposes a fake engagement to get his grandfather off his back. Only problem? The Alpha is the Omega's boss! Desmond and Jace are both fighting their own demons and seeing them come together is so satisfying and hot. I loved Jace's slightly neurotic, slightly chilled out personality, the two different factions of himself playing off against each other. And Desmond is all Alpha, all the time. Cant wait to see what happens next!

'What did this mean for us? Was he my real boyfriend now? Were we still pretending? Or was he just helping me out, an omega in need without an Alpha to sate him?'

I really enjoyed this book. I loved both Jace and Desmond. They had such scorching chemistry and I liked the dynamic between them. Opposites attract and fake relationship is one of my favorite tropes. Can't wait to read part two! 4 stars.

holy cliffhanger, batman

But seriously. I knew better than to read a book titled Part 1. I can’t stand cliffhangers, especially when the story is well-written.

There are some… ick elements in the story for side characters, but overall this is a lovely A/B/O romance. I wish I understood what made the bossman tick more, but maybe it’s for the best Desmond is a mystery.

Jace is wonderful and deserves his HEA.

Good omega and alpha

I love the premise of the book because I love omegaverse but I hate that it is broken into two books. I love that ending of it but wished it was either more backstory of them slowly but unwillingly falling in love or just more events that they spent together before his mom pushed it along.
If it the next part he hurts Jace I will be upset.

This book is a spicy fake dating M/M omegaverse story! These two gentlemen have no idea what’s in store for them when they agree on a no attachment agreement. Desmond and Jace’s chemistry is undeniable but the fact is it’s not what either was looking for.

Jace and Desmond have a page turning and spicy romance. It is a MM omegaverse romance that show amazing alpha/omega dynamics. The chemistry is palpable between these two even if they are just fake dating. I am very excited for the next part

kinda okay, I think that at the end they wanted to do so many things that I lost interest, but from what I can remember, I had fun reading this, even though I do remember that Pike was a little bit of a butthead.

Nice omegaverse

It was a satisfying, good omegaverse. Nothing special but very satisfying with everything typical for omegaverse : the instant connection, the heat but without knotting unfortunately. I enjoyed it.

This was an ok book. There were a few parts that rubbed me the wrong way, but I finished the book. The spice was good, but Desmond's abrupt change in attitude towards Jace caught me off guard. There wasn't much leading up to it. I don't feel compelled to read part two.

Fun read. A great office romance with a hard twist. The characters are so opposite and it makes for some hilarious inner monologue for each of them. Lot’s of steam. Can’t wait for part two!

It was okay as a story but I didn’t feel the romance between Jace and Desmond. And the cliffhanger came out of nowhere.

2.75⭐️ I enjoyed the plot concept, but I'm not a fan of the story being split into two parts. Part 1 feels a bit slow, so I don't think splitting it was really needed.

2.5 for me

I don’t love the writing style, but I can appreciate it is a style. The characters are alright, but like the rest leave me wanting.
