Rate this book
If you have ever thought about hosting your Linux-based application in the cloud, this guide is a good place to start. It walks you through the process of deploying a sample application and all the necessary infrastructure for running and monitoring it. Another great, free AWS guide

Although this book is putatively about setting up a free tier AWS EC2 site, it's an excellent guide to standing up a dynamic, scalable, cost effective set of services.

A short tutorial on setting up a new Drupal site using Amazon Web Services. It covers things like choosing an appropriate image, to configuring automatic expansion using multiple instances.

Presented in a format that encourages you to work along the tutorial, but I read it on the bus.

I still think I got a lot out of the book. The subject is very Three Letter Acronym intensive, but this didn't feel weighed down with them.

I would probably look out a newer version if I won going to use AWS for real, just because I assume the subject will have moved on.
