Lena has been a prisoner of her own making, focusing on the things she can control, she keeps to herself with nothing to distract her from her memories that try and break through. Eric sees Lena alone in the bar and when he looks into her eyes, he sees someone who wants to forget their troubles as much as he does, at least for one night. A couple of drink, some light conversation and shared cab ride later they end the night with a simple kiss, one so innocent it crawls under their skin to taunt them for the days to come.
“It’s time you stop running, little Loner.”
Her one night fantasy man becomes a permanent staple in her life as they run into each other at the school she works at, while visiting his nephew teacher. Eric sees a submissive in her and as skittish as she is, he doubts she is aware of what she is and what her body needs. Caught between two broken souls, Charlie and Lena need healing; not willing to give up on them, all he can do it try.
“I want you to push me out of my own head.”
Bound and Unbroken is a tale of a broken woman who is haunted deeply by her past, living in her head lost in fear. Tired of letting her fear control her, Eric shows her the ways that can keep her fears at bay while satisfying her hidden desires. Trust is hard to come by and trusting someone with your body is different than trusting them with your mind. Eric is a strong male lead; he has proven to be patient, protective and careful. Lena has been running for so long it is hard for her to break her habits; scared of how he makes her feel...scared of how fast things are moving. While all she wants to do is run and hide, he wants her smiling and free.
There was an ending but not sure if that was it or if there is more to come, I am hoping for the latter since there is so much more that can be told in the story. As much as there was emphasis on the nephew, I feel like we weren’t exposed to it enough to show the importance of their role in his life. I wished it was longer because Eric and Lena both had the potential to be great. I do have to say that as HOT as their sessions were, her first one was quiet extreme, maybe because I know what it feels like to have one of those on you, but then again I didn’t do it for pleasure just curiosity. This was a steamy delightful read that shows how one can flourish under careful patient hands.

Bound and Unbroken was so much more than I thought it would be. I honestly was hoping for a good storyline amongst the BDSM. What I got was a beautiful storyline amongst the BDSM. If you follow my reviews, you know that when there is something happening underneath the sex, there is growth happening, important changes are happening, the relationship is deepening, those are the books I love. I rarely enjoy a book where it is just all about sex. I need more than that to my stories.
In Bound and Unbroken, there is so much going on. Lena and Eric don’t just jump into bed together. We get a taste of their personalities, a taste of who they are and a feel for Lena’s need to be in tight control of her life while she gives us a sense that she really would like to give up control just for once, just one time step out of her safety zone, hence the cab ride.
I loved this book. There was one scene that made me squirm and say I don’t think so. No way could I do that. I don’t think I’ve seen that before in a book and the thought of it had me a tad uncomfortable. (It’s not anything dangerous or risky, it just…. you’ll see when you get there.)
I loved watching their relationship grow as Lena works through things that have happened to her in the past. When we understand those things, we understand her need to control everything around her.
I don’t want to go into much more detail because I risk giving away things that aren’t in the blurb, and we all know how I hate spoilers.
I will just say this book is a beautiful hot emotional sexy journey to becoming bound and unbroken.
This journey of self discovery and acceptance was one that will stay with me for quite some time. I went from full on tears (ugly tears!) to laughing out loud. So many mixed emotions that will keep you on your toes and have you turning pages like they're on fire!
Lena is so much more than you think. In fact once I started learning more about her history, I still felt like I was poking a sleeping lion with a stick and the rage and uproar would hit me at any minute! She keeps most everything contained in her cute little package! Funny how one minute you're a "loaner" and the next you're doing things you've only read about and swore you'd never do! Excellent female lead.
Eric is one of those guys I'd probably sit and stare at, daydreaming, while planning my wedding to him! LOL! Hot and sexy doesn't even come close to describing him! He's got this feeling about him, it seems dark and seductive and always on the shielding side. I want to know more about him... and I want to know now! I felt he could have been a little bit more "alpha," but he was still a great male character lead.
Great supporting characters in Jeremiah, Cage, and Leslie! Miah touched my heart at his complete and total care of Lena. He'd be my pick for a protecting "big" brother. Cage was, for lack of a better word, admirable. He's a bartender with a heart and whoa what a bod!!! Leslie doesn't get too much dialogue, but what I read from her, she cracked me right the hell up!
The pacing was good, and the dialogue flowed very nicely. It's 222 pages longs and while it'll take you up and down the emotional roller coaster, the climax is perfect in everyway and I look forward to reading deeper into this tale!
~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~
If you read the blurb about the book you know that you are in for a roller coaster ride. Eric has issues, Lena has issues. How they meet and give each other nicknames is cute and when they actually start their relationship the nicknames are still used which I found to be heartwarming for some reason. This book covers some touchy subjects for some people; there is a disclaimer at the beginning of the book warning you. Honestly, I wish every book came with one, not that I will or will not read them because of it but because then people can’t complain when they do read it and get upset. These are books people, just like a movie but only in print. The fact that Lena has a secret and when Eric find out he goes about helping her in an unconventional way I thought it was brilliant the way the author wrote that, it made it seem so real to me. Certain things weren’t really touched on too much that you would have thought would have been, like the accident that killed Eric’s nephew’s parents but that is ok for me. Who knows, maybe it will eventually be brought up in another book? I loved this story, it was touching.
Characters: I connected with Lena instantly and I loved Eric and Cade.
Sex: yes and BDSM
Religious: no
Would I recommend to others: yes
More than one book in the series: I hope there will be another one
Before I start this review let me first say I have so much respect for authors that sit down and take the time to put our dreams and fantasies on paper. But after saying that I must say I found Bound and Unbroken a hard book to finish. The book started off extremely slow with the Eric and Lena meeting in a sports bar and bantering back and forth. Lena had several issues from her past that I feel were never addressed in the book fully. Eric as a Dom is trying to help her cope with these issues that she never explains in full to him not even when the book ends.
Eric has come back to town to take care of his nephew whos parents had a accident. But the accident was never brought up in the book. The nephew Charlie didn't speak until close to the end of the book due to being upset about the accident so I felt more should have been said about the accident since Charlie was a part of the story-line.
I found some of the sex scenes in this book rushed and seemed like it only last for a few minutes at best. Others seemed to last longer and were pretty hot so not all is lost.
This book was only a short 156 pages long. I feel like more of the story could have been told and I could have been drawn more into this story if more time was spent telling the whole story instead of jumping around from story-line to story-line and the book could have been longer to pull everything together and not end so abruptly.

This book was Skye's first leap away from paranormal and let me just say it was a total success.
I had my reservations at first when I started the book. They were quickly whisked away by the second chapter. It was different than what I initially expected from the teasers, but a very good different. I don't like to read the same story over and over blah blah blah cookie cutter BDSM or any genre for that matter. This book really touched on some aspects that pull at my weaknesses. Non-traditional families, family values, humor and realism, are just some of the things about this story that I loved loved loved reading about! This book definitely pulls all that in and nails it! That and of course the Hot and Steamy Sex Scenes!!! The two main characters Lena and Eric meet by chance at a local bar in town. They begin not really knowing one another's name, but have an unquestionable magnetic attraction.
It's
HOT!
HOT!
HOT!
They cross paths by accident and then on purpose and begin to stop denying and start trying to just let the thing they have just blossom. Lena has some serious demons she has to overcome or at least confront. Like a bomb set in motion with no timer, anything could set her off. Eric is a supportive and patient man, but undeniably dominant. Willing to stand up for what he wants including setting his own mama straight. Eric is just what Lena needs and she can't run fast enough in the other direction, but like I said that magnetic pull can't keep her away too long and no way Eric is giving her up! I can't wait to see that the next book in the series brings.
I received a copy of this book as part of a Promotional Tour, in exchange for an honest review and I’m so thankful I did! I loved it!
The Review
Lena is a school teacher who has a horrible and secretive past. She protects her heart and secrets with jokes or by running and if that doesn’t work, her roommate Jeremiah steps in to protect her like a big brother. Her last boyfriend Landon was her roommate’s best friend and things never seemed right. Lena suspected it was because she had darker tastes, but she never dared to explore them. Then she meets Eric.
Eric is back home to care for his deceased sister’s son Charlie. After his sister and brother in law were killed, Charlie stopped talking. Nobody could get through the wall of silence he had built around himself. Eric is at a loss. He is at a bar taking some time to himself while his parents are babysitting Charlie, when he meets Lena. At first she refuses to give him her real name, so he calls her “loner”.
Their attraction is immediate, but Lena continues to hold back. Eric immediately spots the submissive personality in her and senses all her secrets. He is intent on discovering everything he can about her and he has ways to make her talk and her body scream.
This book had me riveted from start to finish. There were times I wanted to yell at Eric to leave her alone, but yet I also knew Lena need to get things out. By keeping her secrets buried, she was being poisoned by them and it was holding her back from truly living her life and falling in love. I went through some of the emotions with her though. Especially concerning her ex. I was pretty disappointed in that and can only imagine the betrayal she felt. She let that scene pass by with a lot more class then I would’ve shown that’s for sure!!
Eric has his own demons to deal with. His mother is a real witch and it seems to me she sets out to ruin Eric’s happiness every chance she has. I was glad the story didn’t delve too much into that though. Lena’s issues were hard enough.
Now…that all being said…the sex was amazing! Don’t doubt there are sizzling sex scenes and some serious BDSM going on. The chains in the back of the Land Rover? It made me have a WTF moment, but it was also a turn on.
Even though his role was small, Cade, Eric’s friend, made a hell of an impression on me. I really hope there will be a book with his story.
Skye Callahan toed the line perfectly with shock value vs realistic BDSM, emotional vs sexual and calm vs chaos. She did an exceptional job and considering this is the first book I’ve read of hers, I was extremely impressed! I look forward to reading a lot more from this wonderful author!
I stumbled across Skye Callahan by chance and read about the storyline of her next book - Bound and Unbroken - and was hooked immediately. After tracking her on every possible media site, I took the opportunity to promote her upcoming release. This went along with receiving an ARC of Bound and Unbroken for an honest review. And... wow... did I enjoy this book! I was attracted to Lena's and Eric's story from the very beginning.
While Lena is a shy elementary school teacher who lives kind of reclusively with her room mate Jeremiah, Eric just got back into town to take care of his recently orphaned nephew. They meet one night at a sports bar where Jeremiah dragged Lena to go to. A few drinks and an easy-going and light conversation later, Lena ends up sharing a cab ride with Eric - along with a scorching hot kiss unlike anything else she has ever experienced. Numbers were never exchanged, not even names (loved their nick names for each other!), so Lena does not expect to see him ever again. Until a chance encounter...
It was amazing to read how Eric approaches Lena with his lifestyle of being a Dom and how he slowly introduces her to the world - his world - of BDSM. Eric is a beautiful character - almost flawless, without a difficult past or any other skeletons in the closet besides being a Dom. This is quite rare in today's books and made me appreciate his character even more. He is handsome and sexy, but deep, empathetic and caring as well. After discovering the scars and damages Lena sustained from her past in the foster care system, he slowly helps her heal and recover from her past - and he does it in a very unconventional manner.
I like the idea of using dominance / submission as a kind of therapy: Lena has to learn to trust again - and with fully giving up control and submitting to Eric she can exactly do that and, quite casually, give herself into lust and pleasure.
Relating to the BDSM elements, I won't say it is a hard BDSM story but it isn't that light either; Skye Callahan found the perfect balance.
I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys this subgenre of erotica, you don't want to miss this beautiful piece of writing! Skye Callahan is definitely an author to keep track of. I know I will!
“I received an ARC of Bound and Unbroken in exchange for an honest review.”
When I got the request for a review for this book I jumped on it. OMG did you see the WARNING label?? Hey if it has a warning label promising me “explicit sexual content (including BDSM themes)” oh I am so in. So yes I am now a fan (stalker) of Skye Callahan. Its ok she doesn’t mind. I’m not creepy and I come with a group of sexy man candy.
Okay so here we go: Eric and Lena’s story started off at a good pace. I found there conversation or banter witty and entertaining. Lena has a sharp tongue on her and she comes with a secret most could not handle. Eric is intrigued with Lena and finds himself drawn to her in a way he hasn’t needed a woman before.
To say that these two steamed up my kindle would be incorrect. Eric lit up my panties *fanning self*
“Quiet, little Loner, while I figure out what to do with you” *shivers*
“Eyes forward.”
I am going to have to say that I am looking at my dresser in a whole new light and after you read Eric’s and Lena’s story you will too.
Of course with every new relationship come secrets, lies and truths. But what these two need is TRUST in each other to make this relationship work. For Lena it may be a struggle but she wants to learn and feel what it is to give up control. Lena’s past will more than likely break your heart. I cried right along with her and cried again when Eric was there to catch her when she broke down. I loved the respect and understanding he gave her without question. Simply beautiful.
All in all this story was unique, beautiful, well developed and curl my toes kinky. It would be a wonderful introduction into the BDSM genre if you are a little weary. Now if I could only convince Skye that there is a story for Cade. Please, pretty please with whips and chains.
Bound and Unbroken Skye Callahan This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review. This was the first story that I have read by this author. I love discovering "new to me" authors and this book had a funky cover. I was intrigued. Lena has been dragged to the local sports bar by her best friend and roommate Jeremiah. He was talking with his friends and she was sitting at the bar alone when she was approached by a new guy. A harmless flirtation follows, she names him Rusty because of his rusty pick up lines and he calls her Loner. She agrees to share a cab ride home with him and experiences an earth shattering kiss. Without getting her name it is only by chance that he runs into her at the school she is teaching at. He is there because of his nephew Charlie who he has custody of because his parents had died. Lena and Eric finally found out each others name. Eric is a Dom and he is introducing Lena to his world. She has some demons in her past as she was raised in foster care and she is hesitant but eager to experience this. There are, of course a few bumps in the road, Lena has some issues that she needs to deal with once and for all in order for her to truly be able to live her life. Eric's parents provide humour and angst as Mom does not approve of his lifestyle now that he has Charlie. Poor Charlie has not said a word since he parents died. Throw in some padded wrist cuffs, an mild introduction to menage with bartender and best friend Cade, some funky usage of clothes pin and we have a winner or a story. It was face paced and flowed easily. I really enjoyed that this was about more that just the sex. Her childhood issues were handled beautifully. His parents and Charlie played a big part of the story and it was fun to watch that relationship as it unfolded. We are left knowing that there may be much more in store for these two lovers as they journey towards their HEA. I would rate this story a 5/5.
Lena was in the last place she wanted to be on a Friday night. She was at a sports bar called Diggers. Her roomate Jeremiah insisted that she needed to get out of the house. While she was alone at the bar because Jeremiah was talking to an old friend a man came up and sat beside her. She thought he was invading her personal space. After staring at him for awhile they strike up a conversation. He used a bad opening line on her and he told her that he was rusty. So Lena decided to call him Rusty. Rusty decides to call her loner. They share a cab even though they are in two different parts of town. During the cab ride they share a kiss. Lena is an elementary school teacher, she teaches the third grade. She ran into Rusty. He finally tells her that his real name is Eric and she finally told him her name as well. Eric came back to town to take care of his orphaned nephew Charlie. Eric goes to a coffee shop to see Cade. Cade tells him that Lena is going to be at a concert that her roommate is performing in. So Eric decides that he is going to go to the concert because his parents took Charlie for the night. He sits by Lena and talks to her, she wants to know if he is stalking her know. He tells her he isn't and that he doesn't usually pick up girls in bars, he usually dates girls through mutual friends or from the BDSM Club. Eric is a DOM!! Lena has a lot of issues. If you want to know more you should read the story!! This book held my interest from the first page. This is my first book by Skye Callahan and she didn't disappoint!!
I loved the banter when Eric and Lena when they first meet at the sports bar. I love when characters have that type of initial meeting. Flirty and fun. Before they knew each other’s names, they had nicknames Eric (aka Rusty) and Lena (aka Loner). Those initial scenes were my favorite. The author did a nice job connecting the reader to the characters. Eric is a Dom. He tries to help Lena with her issues by introducing her to the BDSM world. However, throughout the book, I never felt like Eric took a real alpha Dom role. There were scenes where he was dominant, but for the most part I felt he was a lenient Dom. Not sure if there is such a thing. Eric, in my opinion was just a nice guy. From beginning to end, Eric was sweet, loving, patient, and understanding. I never saw him as an alpha. He did push Lena, but he knew when to stop. Lena felt broken and Eric was there to help. I felt like other things in Eric and Lena’s life could have been explored a little more. I feel like there were parts about “them” that I was missing. This was a great relationship that I hope is explored more, but not sure if there is a sequel with them as the main characters. Overall, it was a nice romance with a bit of mild BDSM. Besides taking Lena to the BDSM club and having another type of “experience” at the club, it was mild BDSM story. It was erotic and sweet at the same time. A copy was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This book starts out with Lena being forced to go to a Sports bar with her roommate Jeremiah. Then she meets Eric there. Their chemistry is instant. She isn’t sure why she feels safe and wanting to obey him but she leaves with him only to share a cab ride home.
Then Eric comes to where she works and they bump into each other again. From the start looks like fate wants them to either meet or get to know each other. Eric point of view is strong and sure and can’t help but want to know more about Lena. Lena had something horrible happen in her past but not sure she can ever recover and have a normal relationship.
This book is amazing it offers a Strong alpha man (Eric) and a women that needs to find her inner strength and become who she is meant to . It gives you sizzling hot sex and even conflict not sure if they will end up with each other but you keep hoping they will.
Eric wasn’t looking for anything and when he met Lena. He couldn’t deny he wanted to know more about her. But will her inner demons stop their relationship from developing or will Eric get her comfortable in her skin and bring that DOM side of him out to show her she can let go and move on to something safe and happy. This book made me want more more then what it gave me. Way to Go Skye on excellent writing!!
Bound and Unbroken was a well written romance with just a touch of BDSM.
Lena meets Eric in a bar. They each feel drawn to the other and after an amazing kiss in a shared cab ride, they can't stop thinking about each other and Eric is persistent in keeping Lena around so he can get to know her. As her learns more about her life and past, he uses his skill as a Dom by using his need for control to help her overcome the painful memories she's kept with her since she was young. Of course, if it were me, I'd be willing to use the smallest nightmare as an excuse to have a sexy Dom tie me up and do naughty things to me.
There was great chemistry between Lena and Eric with only a touch of drama in the story. It wasn't over the top which worked quite well for the story. Being that the story provides POV from both Lena and Eric to allow us to see more of the story. My preference would have been if the POVs were written in the 1st person but Skye Callahan did a good job showing us how Lena and Eric were feeling in their situations.
All in all this was a good book. For those interested but wary of BDSM or Dom/submissive relationships but are unsure, in my opinion, I think this book would be a good intro to that genre since it's a "light" amount for the genre.
I saw this book advertised on Goodreads months ago and marked it for reading. It came out this week and I finished it in one day, staying up late last night to finish it.
From a work perspective, my week has been very stressful. This book was a lovely diversion from all of the angst!
I loved the main characters, Lena and Eric, I could feel their chemistry instantly. Lena is potentially submissive and she meets Eric, an established Dominant who returns home to raise his newly orphaned nephew. Ms. Callahan did a great job in portraying their meeting and coming together and establishment of a relationship. It was erotic and sexy and not over the top or plagued by games and miscommunications.
Each of them came with issues and baggage and those issues were well addressed as they impacted Lena and Erics burgeoning relationship. At the same time, they kept moving forward and the dynamic between them became hotter.
I very much enjoyed this book...did I say already that I loved it?
Although the book did not end on a cliffhanger, thankfully, I can see great potential for the continuation of Lena and Eric's story.
I hope there is more to come....is this book one of a series?
Bound and Unbroken is a good read! There is a disclaimer in the front of the book. It says "This book contains explicit sexual content (including BDSM themes), graphic language, and situations that some may find objectionable: M/F anal play and sex, bondage, spanking, exhibitionism. In addition to the content mentioned above, there are scenes that deal with self-harm and discussion of previous sexual assault. If you have difficulty with any of these subjects, proceed with caution." There are a lot of heavy issues dealt with in this book. I was a little scared to read it after that warning but the issues mentioned in the warning are dealt in such a way that the flow with the content of the story perfectly.
The loved Lena and Eric's story. The book is told in both Lena and Eric's POV. I am a bid fan of dual POVs because then you get both characters' perspective. I did find Eric's character to be a little on the creepy side at first but after getting more background on him, I grew to love him.
There are a lot of things that happen is this story. Even after reading the disclaimer, I was still surprised by some of the things that happen. Skye Callahan writes in such a detailed way that I could play the scenes out in the head like I was watching a movie.
*I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads*
I have VERY mixed feelings on this book. I liked the beginning, Lena sitting at a bar and being "chatted" up by Eric (or Loner and Rusty, if you prefer). Their banter was entertaining and it just felt like it could really happen! As the story progresses, though, I felt like many parts were rushed (including many of the "erotic" scenes). I didn't really empathize with either character. I understood that she had a rough life (although this wasn't really developed until late in the story), and he's a "control" freak - but I didn't FEEL this by reading the story. Which made it unbelievably difficult to believe the D/s angle...He never explained what he expects from a "subbie", and she just blankly followed his lead. I think I was expecting a bit more substance from this part of the book, in particular. Overall, it was a quick story full of romance (general & erotic).
This book is about a girl aka loner. lol I loved the name who has a past and about a guy who has just gained custody of his nephew trying to adjust to new life style. They crash into each other in a club where Lena the Loner doesn't usually go and her life takes a complete twist.
The starting of the book was interesting but bit slow and felt like a little forced. The guy Eric seemed too sweet but as and when the story progressed it got more engaging ! There are situations which will make you blush, shocked and thrilling. The characters and the story developed gradually giving me time to like them and fall in love with it! There is no cliffhanger and you gonna love it because it isn't just erotic it has many sweet elements in it, lovely characters.but if you are expecting a very strong plot. there isn't and story ended abruptly . it could have been better!! I thought it would be a mind fuck but it wasn't!! I don't know I found it less dark even though it had Dom and sub scenes! It was a good story about a girl and a guy bout finding each other and falling in love.
Lena was all kinds of messed up at the beginning of the story. But you couldn't help but love her, with her shy and self protective nature. Over the course of the book, as bits of Lena's past get revealed, you begin to understand why she is that way. And then you love her more.
Eric was a lot easier to understand from the beginning. Although he did have a few secrets of his own behind his handsome, caring persona, he was very easy to connect with and relate to. I just loved his character! I loved how Eric pushed Lena to her limits trying to help her overcome her demons.
The story itself was fantastic! I was riveted the entire time that I was reading. Although it touches on some serious issues, it was written in a tasteful and intriguing manner. I can't wait for the next installment of the Out of Bounds series. I certainly hope we get more of Lena and Eric's story!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review as part of the blog tour.
I loved this story. I love books with this type of theme. Make sure to read the warning at the beginning of the book and synopsis, so you don't venture into something you aren't comfortable with. With that being said, This book blew me away. I loved the characters, Lena and Eric. I could put myself in the book right beside them. I loved their banter back and forth in the beginning and loved watching their relationship grow. Sometimes it felt like a little cat and mouse game. I also enjoyed that this book was in both Eric's and Lena's POV's. The author does this in such a way that helps us really connect with both characters. This book deals with some issues that are difficult to read about, but really helps us understand the characters a little better. Well done! 5 stars from me.
Bound and Unbroken is an amazing story about a woman that has a troubled past, works as a elementary teacher and lives with her best friend who is also her brother. Although they are not blood siblings they have a fondness for each other as such. He has helped her out, cared for her and been her rock for many years. Until one night he talks her into going out just to get out the house. Everything changes for her that night and the man who changes it will continue to change it, but for the better for her. She has never really enjoyed sex with anyone, but when she meets Eric everything she has ever dreamed, fantasized about and needed comes to light. This is one story you want to read. It has a hot, possessive alpha man who falls for a woman. If you love to read a good BDSM romance then this book is for you! I loved every bit of this story!
WOW and WOW holy mother of freaking HOTT!!! I really enjoyed reading this story of BDSM. I didn't think I would after reading the note of what may be contained in this book but holy hell it was great. I loved the writing style that the author has chosen it was able to catch me and not release me at all which is wonderful. I wasn't left with a cliffhanger to bad although now I'm left in amazement as what maybe Book 2 might hold or if their will even be a book 2. This story was more then just BDSM and everything along that road it was about 2 people finding that they really needed each other for more.
I received this book for an honest review and all I have to say is OMG it was absolutely the best. I personally do not usually care for the BDSM type of books. This one so good because it was truly about the trust and understanding that you do need to enter into that kind of relationship.
You First meet Lena has defiantly has some ghosts in the closet and then you have Eric who enjoys a different kind of lifestyle. (I am not gonna say anymore)
I just absolutely LOVED this book and you will happy to know NO cliffhanger which is another reason why I love this book. I am very excited to read the next book in this series #writeskyewrite
This is the first time Ive read a book by this author and I was very happily surprised. Lena is a really lovely girl. She's a teacher and keeps herself to herself. One night she's forced to go out to a bar with her room mate and meets the sexy Eric. Eric is a Dom. He wants all of Lena. Lena however has issues from her past that's holding her back. Buy this book and read their brilliant story. BDSM, hot sex and rape are mentioned in this story. I loved this story. My fingers are crossed that Cade gets his own story:) Received arc in return for an honest review.
This isn't the first book I have read by this author and it won't be my last! I loved the story. It was fun and held my interest all the way thru. I enjoyed the love story and the lifestyle parts of the book were just enough, not over the top. This story does touch on the BDSM lifestyle and the coping mechanisms the young lady uses to deal with a trama from her teen years and how Eric helps her deal with it in new ways. I really can't wait to read more in the future.
The intensity of this story is high, which left me with a book hangover. I loved Lena at the beginning because she was spunky and guarded. Eric is amazingly hot and Alpha. He knows what he wants and doesn't stop until he gets it. But he's also tender and caring. The way the author handles the delicate issues that Lena has is very well done. The sex is HOT! I couldn't put this book down and I'm anxiously awaiting another book with Lena and Eric! 5 out of 5!!
~*~My Thoughts~*~ A 5 Star Rating I really enjoyed this book!! I love bdsm books in general, but this wasn't all about the sex. It had a really good story line on top of great sex. Lena was a great character who had her issues and it was great to see her get over them. Eric was awesome he was a super good dom and i really enjoyed seeing things from his point of view. All in all its a short review but a great book!!
