This little book of multiple choice questions was a good reference book to have to test my knowledge in prepping for the CAPM exam. I read the PMBOK 5th edition about 5 years ago and I used this book to assess what I remembered from that time. I do like how there are sections split out for the categories.
I feel the solutions could use a bit more of an explanation and I think the author lost interest in writing the last portion because the answer pattern made the questions no longer challenging and the answer choices were just cut & paste from the question next to it. So I was disappointed with that last part which also had a couple errors but overall the book helped me to figure out my weak areas.
The book size is convenient and the pages are white so much much easier to read because I am struggling with the grey of the 6th edition.
I will see if these are representative of the difficulty in the real exam. The Kindle edition was well put together. You could read the question, answer it, click on the question number to check your answer. That MIGHT have an explanation and it might not, if it didn't then there was a link to the footnotes where the answer was explained, including references. This was NOT my only tool preparing for the PMP exam, but it was a good one.
This was a great book to reinforce the knowledge I was getting from the PMBOK guide. It is organized according to the PMBOK's guide chapters, so at the end of every chapter I would go and do the questions in this book. It was a good way to make sure that I was getting what I needed to out of the PMBOK.
Great prep for the exam with real life PMP questions. I used this to target the areas where I was struggling and not did I pass on my first attempt, I scored Above Target across the board.
