This box set contains three complete novels: Books 1-3 of the Out of Time Series.

Out of Time: A Time Travel Mystery (Book #1)
Mystery, romance and adventure...

Professor Simon Cross has spent his life searching for evidence of vampires and avoiding emotional entanglements. When a mysterious accident transports Simon and his assistant, Elizabeth West, back in time, Simon finally finds both the proof that he's been looking for, and the romance that he hasn't.

Simon and Elizabeth's developing relationship is tested by demons real and imagined. In 1920s Manhattan, there are more than mobsters vying for power in the city's speakeasies. When the local kingpin with a dark secret sets his sights on Elizabeth, day to day struggles become a fight for their very lives.

When the Walls Fell (Book #2)
Professor Simon Cross and his assistant Elizabeth West have returned from their accidental journey into the past and are adjusting to their new life together as a couple. But an unwanted visit from the Council for Temporal Studies could change everything.

A murder in the past is changing the future, and if the killing isn't stopped, Simon Cross might never be born.

When they arrive in 1906 San Francisco, Elizabeth and Simon have no idea who wants Victor Graham dead or how it will happen. With the earthquake that leveled most of the city just days away, the race to save Graham thrusts them into a complex mystery of jealousy and revenge where murder might be the least of their worries.

Fragments (Book #3)
Simon & Elizabeth are back in book #3 of the Out of Time Series! Professor Simon Cross and his assistant, Elizabeth West, thought their time traveling days were over. That's before they stumble across a World War II photograph -- with missing time traveler, Evan Eldridge, injured and in desperate need of help.

They find Evan in 1942 London, ill and not quite sure what's happened. He remembers only one thing with crystal clarity -- the whereabouts of an artifact Hitler believes can win the war. That's information every Nazi spy in the country would kill to know.

As if saving Evan and surviving war-torn England weren't enough, the outcome of the war hinges on Simon and Elizabeth finding Evan's artifact before the Nazis do. But time is running out: for them, for London, for the world.

Be sure not to miss the rest of the Out of Time Series!

I like this author and for me that says a lot because I tend to go for grittier-darker reads than this. This author is not that type of writer; she drew me in with her plots and characters. This is a great series for people who enjoy a great plot but they don't want a read that is too dirty or gritty. She really does a good job with character development--you end up bonding with her characters and caring about where their future takes them. I liked this so much that I have purchased the second box series too.
As I said, if you're looking for an interesting read that is a rated PG read, not too dark and gritty-- then this will probably work quite well for you.

Love-hate relationship with the series. Love the writing and the dialogue. Very well done, polished and witty. The characters and the stories are enjoyable and entertaining. On the downside, too much romance and not enough adventure, time travel and mystery. Although the romance is not as cheesy or annoying as it could be (especially after the first book), but in my view, it took away from developing other aspects of the stories. As a result, while the stories were entertaining, the plots are painfully simple, mysteries are predictable, and time travel, which is the premise of the entire series, is not really explained or developed in any way... I think what disappoints me most about these books is the missed opportunity to make them into truly fantastic novels with some more time and effort. Also, there are some pretty major plot holes that are hard to ignore and spoil the effect of the stories. I will probably continue reading the series until I find something better to read or until the annoyance outweighs the enjoyment.

Time travel trilogy

Action adventure mystery series, with a lot of the old , Nick and Nora flavor. It takes Professor Simon 3 books to ask his beautiful aid Elizabeth to marry him. They make an unexpected journey to NYC in 1929, San Francisco in 1906 for an earthquake, and England in 1942 for WWII for war time England. Very cleverly written with well-developed characterization.

I was going to rate this three stars, as it was fun and seems well researched but the romance element was a bit soppy in an intense and angsty way. And Simon Cross is such an American stereotype of a well-bred Englishman. But I plowed through all three books in the set in two days and immediately bought the next set, and gleefully noted that there's a third set too plus a spin-off series. Clearly this was exactly the fun timetravel romp escapism I needed right now. So 4 stars it is.

I liked these three books and got them for free on Amazon. I enjoyed each story line, basically a "will they make it back in time" type books. They have a little of everything in it for me, so I was happy :) They also don't end on cliff hangers so no need to read the next books unless you want to, which I also like. All three books have the same main two characters so I love that too!

Loved it

Time travel, villains, romance. What is there not to enjoy? The characters (not only the two main ones -Simon and Elizabeth)) are extremely well fleshed out. I especially

Out of Time
1) Out of Time
05.08-05.09
3 Stars

I love time traveling reads! While this one was interesting and I loved Elizabeth's witty character, most of the book was rather slow and downright dry. Simon was all hoity toity most of the time, but I chalked that up to the English in him. The story was interesting, but getting to the nitty gritty, juicy parts took entirely to long.

2) When The Walls Fell
05.09-05.10
3.5 Stars

Second book still read pretty dry but it held a bit more oomph than book one. Simon is still all hoity toity but it didn't come across as him looking down on others, the way it did in book one. Elizabeth is still a zany character, though extremely gullible and super stubborn. I'm wondering why is it that every man she comes across falls either in love or lust with her? Her description sounds lovely but not all that to have a string of men falling over themselves for her...

3) Fragments
05.10-05.11
4 Stars

This was definitely my favorite read, so far. I'm totally addicted to these time traveling adventures Simon and Elizabeth have. Its like in the mist of a crisis, they always find love and most importantly humor. I absolutely love that they found the lost time traveler, don't want to say his name so as to not ruin the story for future readers. In any case their reunion with past friends was so sweet and had a huge smile forming on my face! Great way to end this third adventure.

I love these books so much that I read the first two a second time before diving in further. It's been a while since I read them but I'm determined to catch up on the series now. It's that good.

Simon Cross is an occult professor and Elizabeth West is his former teacher's turned student aide. They're attracted to each other but neither will do anything about it. Everything changes when Simon gets some stuff that belonged to his grandfather including a time-travel device in the form of a pocket watch and they're wooshed off into history.

Simon and Elizabeth have to grow and find their way together until they form a love and a partnership that can stand the test of time, literally! The books have such heart and wonderful quirky humor. The descriptions of places in time are specific and draw you into the setting so that it's like you're there right along with them.

Each character is alive with qualities to love and flaws to make them human. Even the secondary characters comes to life on the page. Even as Simon and Elizabeth must say goodbye as they leave them behind, I feel I'll miss them too.

Thank goodness there are so many books ahead of me!

OK so there's a bit of romance but...

It was a cute set of stories. The characters were very vivid and, as I read the books in this boxed set, it was like watching a movie. Elizabeth is the girl you wish you knew and Simon was a perfect example of uptight, stiff upper lip British nobility (he is a Baronet, after all).

Regarding the romance novel aspect, it really wasn't too annoying and at times was rather cute. The interplay between Elizabeth and Simon was reminiscent of Nick and Nora from The Thin Man books and movies. Or, Giles and Buffy if they actually got involved with each other in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

In fact these stories would be a great basis for a set of movies. You've got vampire gangsters, mad scientists, fake Russian psychics, and the good guys get to outwit Nazis in WWII torn England. Overall, this was a nice light set of books with which to pass some time reading. Almost forgot to mention - time travel!!! Maybe they'll run into Doctor Who....

I downloaded the book back in 2012 and simply didn't get to it until now.
A good time travel romance with enough drama to keep you guessing on the outcome.
At the beginning of the book, it drew me in, the middle part was a bit dragged out and the end almost rushed. But a good read I have enjoyed.
Thanks for the opportunity to get to know you as an author, I am looking forward to reading book 2.
*****
The author's ability to draw you in and keep your attention is very good. The fast-paced and adventurous story continued in Book 2 becoming more involved.
The characters were well defined and the two main characters personalities grew with each experience they shared.
It is a race against time and a book I will definitely recommend.
Can't wait to read book 3 in the series.

Book 3 in the series took you back to England during the 11WW. A time filled with shortages, spies and the ever-unanswered question of who to trust.
There were times that I really enjoyed the story and at times it felt as if words were just repeated becoming clichés.
The story continues from Book 2, the team left 1906 in the midst of the disastrous earthquake. After seeing Eldridge in a newspaper the two decide they had to rescue him. His wife had no idea where he was. Meeting a new person, Jack, they were in for a suspenseful time in the English countryside.
As always it made for interesting reading as you embark on another adventure with Elizabeth and Simon. Their love continually growing during these encounters.

Heart stopping at times

I read the first book some time ago but have only now read the trilogy. A different kind of time travel taking the reader to three different times in history. Simon and Elizabeth’s story is at the heart of but other people make their mark too. The ONLY thing that I disagreed with was the comment about how the knife and fork is held. The author says that some places in Europe hold the knife in the right hand and the fork in the left. The fact is that cutlery is held that way throughout Europe and in GB too; plus, of course, in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other Commonwealth countries. So Simon, as a Brit, would have naturally have held his cutlery that way too. We consider eating with just a fork to be somewhat crass. Sorry. As I said though, that’s the only beef and the story is well researched and the idea is great. Just loved it!

I love this series so much. It's fantastic. The first book is by far the best but they are all great. I read this book years and years ago, and it lived rent free in my head. I went back to find it again and found that there were 9 books in the series now! The relationship between the two main characters is great. One broody and one optimistic. At first it was a little weird, because she his TA essentially, but they are both adults. This series has some touch her and d!3 type themes but its not over powering and doesn't take away from the story. While it does deal with time travel, it doesnt deal with magic necessarily. I would firmly categorize it as an adventure. The books after the first one follow the same formula and for that reason I gave it 4 stars. They're all good, but predictable. 100% worth the read.

Each story ending, but continue to spur me on to the next one

I started these three books because they reminded me of the old movie "The Time Machine" that was on TV, long time ago, and also the 📺 series Time Machine. I was a little disappointed in the beginning, as it started out with an unlikely pair, who were each hiding something from each other.
As I continued to read, I got caught up in their characters, and ideals, and thinking, there must be something else that is keeping the pair apart.
Something in one or the others past was creating the issue, and I do like a good mystery. And it came with a history lesson to boot.
By the time I had finished the third book in the set, I was hooked. Bring on the next set, I'm more than ready!

The PerfectTime

I'm a huge fan of time travel stories and I put this series as one of my favorites. Great suspense and intrigue. The clever periods traveled to, characters involved and constant plot twisters were quite enjoyable. Current references by the main characters was fun (including a reference to one of my favorite comedies - The Great Race). I could not stop reading this series because I wanted to know how it would all turn out. I even rooted for the romance. Thank you Monique for the bumpy ride!

So in love with this series!

Because of a snafu I actually read books 4, 5, and 6 first and then could not wait until I could get started on books 1, 2, and 3. I'm fascinated by time travel anyway but this is such a neat way to handle it, and the reasons for doing it are creative and very well fleshed out. You can't help but fall in love with Simon and Elizabeth and their love and their love expressed so beautifully throughout the entire series. This series itself is addictive, I hope she never stops writing.

Enjoyable read

I enjoyed the stories and the main characters are relatable.
The only thing I could fault is where the main characters are in war time England. There is a part where they spend 5p and 10p. That wasn't the currency then. We used pounds, shillings, and pennies (abbreviated as d not p)It would more likely be 3d or 6d. A small thing, but it jarred and pulled me out of the story.

I don’t read romance much, as I can do without the schmaltzy descriptions, but I enjoyed reading the start of this series! She had just enough sweetness, that it didn’t take away from the story.
I’m glad that I had three books to get hooked into it! I will be looking for the others, and would like to see this adapted for the screen! Netflix would do well to have an action series that didn’t have all the gratuitous nudity that is so pervasive these days!!

Out of time series 1-3. A must read.

This series was delightful. I found the use of language refreshing. Words and expressions of a bygone age. Varied colourful expansive stories interwoven, in an exciting considerate love affair. With rich unforgettable characters.
In this time travel extravaganza, not usually my cup of tea.
But again high praise for the author Monique Martin for writing stories with history; suspense the occult and atmosphere.
A real joy to read.

Out of Time

I would love to have one of those watches and the key, because I definitely was was born out of my time frame in history. Each story flowed into the next adventure flawlessly. Beautifully written, I applaud Ms Martin for such masterful storytelling. I didn't want to stop reading from book to book. I highly recommend this box set to anyone.

Interesting

I gave this book three stars because it was quite average. I enjoyed the first book the most but the other two were weaker. Although all three books were well written they lacked thrills and struggled to keep my attention.these books would really suit someone that was just getting interested in time travel books

Fun and timeline jumping adventures

I was introduced to this book on a Facebook group and have really enjoyed the series so far. Historical fiction is really interesting and add in some time travelling heroes and what is not to like. I have enjoyed getting to know Simon and Elizabeth and am so looking forward to seeing what they get up to next.

A fun romp through time

Simon and Elizabeth are quite a team. I liked the progression of the series as they moved from one story to another, and enjoyed the different ways that the couple viewed almost everything. If you like time travel with intrigue mixed in and just enough comedy to break the tension you should try this series.

Terrific Trilogy

The first three books are romantic, funny, and exciting. Each set in a different time and location, you enjoy the mysteries and romance of Simon and Elizabeth. Although they get into many tight spots, their adventures are never boring! Looking forward to reading the next trilogy!

I’m really enjoying this series and the places it takes you. I enjoy the fact that Elizabeth is a balanced character. She is just the right mixture of independent woman without being unbelievably self-reliant. And poor Simon just tries to keep up. I can’t wait to see when and where they travel to next.

Could have been a great read

The only thing wrong with this book is the missing pages every four or so pages. It's impossible to follow the story when key sections are missing. Until this is fixed, don't bother.
