A Solution Manual for: A First Course In Probability by Sheldon M. Ross.

Rate this book
Probability is one of the most important applied mathematical subjects of modern times. An understanding of probability theory is essential to understanding such things as politics, weather reports, genetics, sports, medical tests, and insurance policies. Most scientific disciplines require at least one or two semesters of coursework in the subject. Many companies ask probability questions to interview candidates in hopes of excluding people who don't have enough knowledge of its basics. Ross' textbook "A First Course in Probability'' is one of the standard, well-respected texts
aimed at teaching probability at the introductory level. Many programs consider its contents to be "required knowledge'' for further study and research.

To guarantee that my understanding was as strong as possible, I worked a great number of problems from the text and this solution manual is the result. This manual provides completely worked-out solutions to a huge number of problems from the text. The solutions are described in great detail, presenting all of the intermediate steps so that as many people
as possible can follow each argument. This gives students a way to check their answers and ensure that they took the correct steps to arrive at an answer. This is a great way to develop strong skills in this very important area of mathematics.

The book has almost 400 pages so one is guaranteed to find most of the problem solutions one is looking for.
