Honestly I only got this book to learn about Einsteins Theory of Relativity but I ended up learning a whole lot of physics from other scientists along the way!
Even though the book states it is for beginners, I felt some explinations were a little complex and hard to understand.

I needed a thorough yet simple explanation of particle physics and quantum physics. Several attempts at other books failed. This book, by Roger Smith, satisfied my need. He provides an excellent overview of the realms with just enough detail added for interest.
