Lord have mercy what can I say about this book. This book has everything. This is an interracial story just in case you may be were wondering.

This book for me is about Truly and what happens to her in her life. How strong she has to be with all that happens to her from childhood to her present day. She has had a hard life. Her story compromises every possible event that could ever happen to a woman then it happens to her. If you have triggers then chances are that trigger will be in this story, so be warned! This book is not for everyone. It is raw, gritty, real and dark in places and made up of themes that have happened to women around the globe. What I love about Truly is that even when she thinks she cannot make it she is still standing because she has no choice.

This is not your typical romance story but it is about two people who find love but the circumstances are not ideal when they do. The story is an emotional roller coaster in places but it had me riveted. I could feel the love between Truly and Bannon. Its a long read!

I would recommend this book as a good read, if you have a strong constitution and do not mind your love stories being messy because this is one hell of a messy love story!

I am looking forward to more stories by this author!

The first chapters of the book is not for the faintest of hearts. It tried to accurately portray that sorrow and annoyance is simply a necessary part of human experience. Truly and her twin sister Honesty are helpless souls, forgotten by pretty much everyone, but Truly stepped up like mama bear and thrived by doing any means necessary to survive. Truly is about to something that would bring food on the table and give her family a Christmas they'll never forget, and once she's done with this one last job, she'll wipe her slate clean, and emerge a new person.

Janjan untamed style of writing really was not impressive, and very quickly allowed me to feel nothing tied to the lead characters because of the strange circumstances within the plot. It's full of grammatical errors and inconsistency. I personally thought the author was lazy, unreliable, and lackadaisical in her rhetoric; she didn't give a strong vivid representation of what is inside her character's head.

This book is honestly about a weak, whiny protagonists, doing nothing with her life other than accept to become a man's mistress and not looking to see how much of snake her twin sister is. It had plenty unnecessary angst and ugly crying. I hated the way the story ended, and after finishing the book I felt very confused. I would not recommend this to others looking for something a bit unusual for a next read.

Well Damn!
This story had so much going on I was overwhelmed. There was one sad dark thing after another happening in this. That is until Truly meets her white knight lol and boy he was everything and a hot mess himself... but this dude took care of his. Girl let me tell you the hotness of True and Bannon was off the chain

But even then the shit just kept coming at me, this was non stop from page one. Seriously no joke page one I was hook line and sinker! It was almost like the author grabbed everything she could think of and word vomited it all out at once without a break. This author is the true meaning of Sorry not Sorry

The crazy that goes on does not let up. You will think ok, ok now we get a breather things are looking good for Truly(yes that’s her name) But nooope! I tell you don't even think about resting your eyes while reading this or even freaking blinking! Just hold on damn tight and ride the wave of Truly's Fd-up story! This story had me filling like I was on the damn Colossus ride at Magic Mountain that damn Heifer has you riding up the bumpy hill all calm like you gonna go down a floating cloud of smoothness only to free-fall the bumpity, bumpity all the way down on the old looking rails , almost breaking your neck in the process of praying that you live to make it.

I eventually had to take a two day break my eyes were burning so bad from non-stop reading this juicy book. Mind you this book is a long one but worth the read. (HER SISTER IS SOMETHING ELSE That GIRL TRIED IT)
Truly did what she had to do to take of her family through all the crap she went through she remained strong too damn strong.
This ghetto ass story was full of entertainment and took me on a never-ending roller coaster ride of fuckery. I mean damn this book is all kinds of Wrong! Its dirty and gritty. Its foul and disrespectful and as a married woman I should hate this book. Buuuut hontiy I gobbled this story up like a deep fried Turkey on Thanksgiving dinner Day. Had a sistah wanting to be a side bitch lol!(I would never!)
You will fall in love with this wacky backwards Brady Bunch of a gang and hate the ones that try to keep them apart. You will need to take several seats after reading this

Drinks some damn wine to calm your nerves with all the crazy in this book.
This was an amazing sad and funny story that went from rags to riches and was so enjoyable.
Five freaking crazy ass stars for this more drama for your momma, break your neck on Gold Rush Magic Mountain ride of a book. Jan Jan Untamed I don't know where you came from but I'm sooo glad I found you!

SOOOOO FREAKIN GOOD!

My header fully summarizes this book and it's author. I thought I had read the best book of 2016, which was written by one of my favorite urban writers; but I can honestly say that this story is the best I've read in years. It is edge of your seat good to the very last drop! I found myself entangled in the spider like web which JanJan Untamed created with this phenomenal tale. I cannot begin to explain the deep emotional pull you will be subjected to beginning with the very first paragraph. No words located in Webster's Dictionary will do this book justice; but I will certainly try!

I am only at 24% in and just had to stop to start to begin jotting my thoughts on this mind boggling read. This author is stupendous. Her writing is too wonderful to comprehend. It has to be taken in small doses or you will be feeling like a reeling drunk! That's how overwhelming this storyline will make you feel.

If you have ever read a DARK ROMANCE, be assured this is the darkest and best you will have the privilege to have ever read. Personally, I stay away from dark books of any genre, especially in the romance genre, which is my reading of choice. But I could not pull myself away. The darkness of this read begins in the very beginning - page 1 is not finished before you find yourself totally disgusted with the horror of the degradation, heinous, frightful, terrible, atrocious and any other word you can attribute to the darkness perpetrated against the most innocent of humanity - our children; and yet I read on. This author will not allow you the freedom or prerogative to free your eyes from the pages she has generated!

Any attempt to free yourself from the creative story weaved by JanJan Untamed will be fruitless! She is the puppeteer and we, the readers are dancing to the movement of the snapping strings her fingers have upon our emotional repertoire. There comes a point in time when you will beg not to be released. Against your free will, you are doomed to continue down a path which you have no desire to traverse! You will just have to hear the fat lady belt out the final verse which will end her song! You are captive from punctuation to punctuation mark. A willing captive because as I stated - THIS BOOK IS SOOOO DOG GONE GOOD!

I have read many, many books, but this particular one will remain with me for an, heretofore, unidentified period of time. It will not be an easy task to rid my mind, soul and heart of the innovative and visionary creativity of the mind of this new kid on the block - her pen name is JanJan Untamed - imprint it on your brain - you will be hearing her praises and accolades for years and years to come. She is a slayer in
this genre of interracial relationship writers. Her competition will be stepping up their game in order to remain relevant. JanJan has come out the gate with her golden pen blazing - taking down both ole school and new school writers. Her pen game is deadly and she definitely is writing her behind off and taking no prisoners!

You will be rooting that Truly Happy and her rag tail family will get to climb out of the slime of the view from the bottom and claw their way, by any means necessary, to the top and breathe in the freshness of a life viewed from the top! Will her WHITE knight in shining armor be the truth or will he too disappoint her like so many have in her young life? Since I am only at 24%, I too am looking for the answer. That right there should get your fingers to 1- clicking this book. If I could not go any further until I felt like writing a review, even before reading one-half, of the book, you know it's the best of the best!

I want to extend my personal best wishes to JanJan on a very prosperous writing career. If you wish to become an entrenched and loyal member of this new authors' fan base, begin right now by downloading this astonishing book. Once you do so, you'll be like the American Express slogan - "You Won't Leave Home Without It"!!

Ok, now I shall get back to reading the other 76% of this incredible book by a very extraordinary author - JanJan Untamed! I am assured that her name will be resounding through the Universe over and over again! And what makes this read even more delectable to your reader's palettes- SHE WROTE THIS EXTRAORDINARY BOOK IN JUST ONE BOOK - NO SERIES!

This is mini series material!

I can't help it, I love a story that over the top-and this one more than fits the bill. Truly and her man are the epitome of love conquering all and I enjoyed every syllable of this author describing it. There are a few editing issues, but this story is so big that I practically sailed right past them. Can't wait for the next book-I hope it is as fulfilling to the reader as this one.

Wow!

This books said it all... no more words left!
A few typos that did not distract from the drama. I cried, I smiled, I laughed, I was disappointed, I was sad, I exasperated, I was amazed, I enraged ... need I go on?
Need more books from this author for sure! I'm waiting with bated breath

Everything but and the kitchen sink

The book is good its gritty, definitely not what I would call a romance. This drama pure and simple ,but I did read all if it,and it continues to the last page .

This was not my cup of tea. I'm not into urban reads. The author is a new author and she had a great story line. The characters need to be developed more.

I was confused by certain events in the book. I felt she just added more than she needed to.

What can I say!

Well first off. This is the first time I every read anything from this author. This book has been on my tbr list since 2017. (Which by the way I just started my 2017 tbr list. I know! I'm way behind lol. I digress). Even thought I'm not very fond of cheating romances. I did enjoy this book. There was some part I can do without. Like the hero of the book using the n-work way to frequently for my taste. Truth be told he shouldn't of have been using it at all. There was also some parts of the book that was unrealistic. The heroine of the book was somewhat weak-minded. The sister of the heroine was selfish and got hers at the end. Some parts was confusing, and there were some unanswered questions left. However, the love story of Truly and Bannon. I did like. They were 2 broken souls that completed each other. And that's what keep me in gross in the book. Overall it was a good read.

A rare jewel

Two people who society view as the dregs are able to find a love worth fighting to save. Characterization are on point. This is the first Urban Fiction novel that I have truly enjoyed reading. Plot twist and turns kept my interest. I highly recommend this as a great read.

Oh my christ!!!!

Well this book was........I'm speechless, it's an emotional mess, I'm an emotional mess, this had everything in it and so well written, this is the first time I have read this author, and I think her writing is brilliant. I really didn't expect all that happens in this book at first I wasn't going to finish it as it was just too sad, but I persevered and I'm so glad I did, because this book was the BOMB.

A very dark and disturbing at times story that will keep you turning the page and routing for Truly, to get her happy ever after. Highly recommended but this is not for the faint hearted be warned.

The View From the Bottom up by JanJan Untamed’s was another phenomenal read.
This story speaks about Truly, a child who was abandoned by her parents along with her twin sister. As she grew all the bad cards in life were handed to her. She then meets Bannon, a man whose life was handed to him on a silver platter albeit he wasn’t truly happy.

I enjoyed the way this story flowed by displaying lust, deceit, hardship, love as well as good times within its pages. Lessons were taught, lines were drawn and the right people were victorious
This book is no short story, it’s 500+ pages of rollercoaster.

This is my second read from The House of JanJan Untamed and I must say it will not be my last. This author shows that love can also be attained by those who have met rock bottom in life.
I highly recommend reading this book. You wouldn’t regret it

I wasn’t ready!

There are no words that can express the infatuation I have for this story and yet Amazon wants twenty, so here goes...

Okay when I read the premise for this story I was like, why in the heck did they give me an excerpt instead of an actual summary telling me what the story is about. It annoys me when books do that. So what I do? I begin to read the sample chapters.

The first few pages in I’m like...nope this is definitely not for me, but then I shrugged and decided to finish the rest because why not, right? Whew! What did I do that for? By the time I made it to the end of the sample chaps I was in for the pound and ended up reading this entire book in one sitting.

Hours flew by and I barely even noticed. Tru and Bannon flipped all my preconceived notions on what makes a compelling hero and heroine, upside down. Tru has four kids by three different baby daddies and Bannon is a ex drug addict man whore who has the nerve to be married!

How could I possibly route for these characters? Humph, I’ll tell you how. From the bottom of my lungs as loud as can until my throat closed and my vocal chords went kaput. The chemistry between these two dusted off a tired old plot line and thickened and twisted up until the very last page. I am so shook, my imagination and mind is still trying figure out what the hell just happened.

Like I said...there are no words y’all!

no. no. no.

I will make this short and sweet. I was very disappointed in the story. This story was recommended in a group I’m in on Facebook. The dialogue was New Jack City meets White Chicks. Also, I got tired of seeing the word square. Square? Is it 1955? I just didn’t understand.

Bannon was trash. I really tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but “spoiler alert” I lost it at the end of the story when she actually saw him sleeping with three different girls and his excuse was that he did it to save their relationship…what?! Dude you could’ve hired somebody to deflower her nieces…who were almost under age.

There was too much going on. I felt for the main character due to her horrible childhood, but she was also annoying and gave off strong pick me energy. I disagree with those who say her sis changed. Nope. She was always trash.

Anyway, no thank you. Im not sure if I’ll read other books from her. I was extremely disappointed. I won’t go after her bag though. If you want to read the story, do it but know there are a lot of triggers. See y’all next time.

Rollercoaster

This book takes you on an adventure and it’s a dang saga. It is a unique story that is rough pretty much all the way through I would call it a modern day Cinderella/ Romeo and Juliet. There are some grammatical errors but nothing to to bad you can’t make it through, the story is a outlandish but the gritty parts make it more believable. I definitely think you should read it though. This was my second time reading it after a long time and I found myself turning the pages just like the first time since I could t remember all the details because like I said this is a meaty book its gonna be a bit before you make it to the HEA but is worth it.

I love when I come across a book that so different from other love stories . I loved Tru and bannon because they weren't perfect people and they did things in their past that made them broken but they loved and accepted each other for exactly for who they were. This story had it all love, sex, drama and betrayal . I will definitely be looking for more stories from this author.

Great Read

This is the author's first published work and I hope she'll continue to write books that are just as engaging. This book is full of drama and a lot of side stories that are just as intriguing. The main characters Truly and Bannon's story is just heartwarming and intriguing. It is well worth reading although I found it to be quite lengthy.

#TeamBannonandTrue

True has had a ruff life. Her So called Mother sold her to immoral person, they found them in the basement infested with all kinds of nasty stuff. True also had a child when she was twelve. Her life has received alot of hard knocks though the years her and sister, but True managed to keep food, and place to stay for them by any means necessary. Her sister and their relationship was complicated. Honest was Trifling lazy, and jealous of her sibling. It makes you wonder what else she harbours against True.. In steps Bannon. Him and his Brother in law Jarvis hired True services for the night. Jarvis fat slob that he is was rude, and aggressive, but Bannon who was feeling True vibe out his butt in place. The start of a Crazy Relationship that had me wanting to beat his Butt from the start. Just because you see your inlaws, what right does it gives you too leave True the way he did, and to abandon her with the security in Mexico of all places. He should have been ashamed of himself. And don't get me started on his Dysfunctional Family. His dad is a First class Bastard with his Racist ass, along with the Amelia skinny stick self. How can a parent hold over your head the mistakes you made and are regretful for the rest of your life. Though it all True remained Loyal to Ban, even refusing the birthday gift he got her. Now that's too me was way over the top. I love how the Author wrote True and Dash story. It was wonderfully written. Their relationship was a beautiful. It showed just because of your circumstances in life dosen't define you, you are the true maker of your destiny. True was a strong Alpha Queen. The crap her sister pulled, and the Headache Bannon Caused her it made her feel some type of why, but she picked herself up did what she had too.. This lovestory was Exceptionally told. They both was deeply flawed, True with her dark past of abusive, and early Motherhood, and Bannon with drugs, Different women, no matter the age. But though it all the Emotional baggage, they found a love like no other. This is the second book I have read of JanJan untamed. I'm a true fan now.

This book is so amazing! Every page and every chapter was a new dilemma. This story was filled with drama, romance, love, betrayal, and hope! I don't know the last time I was emotionally invested in a story...and this one had me destroyed and spent too many times.

Truly was the best female character I've read in a long time. She was strong but weak. She was loving unconditionally. She didn't make excuses for the the things she had to do to survive. She learned to make the best out of her situation. Now her twin was different from Tru in every aspect from looks to personality. I wish I could talk about Nessa but I don't want to give away her importance in the book.

Bannon will go down in book history as one of the best men to ever surface in a book. Bannon is the shit. From the way he walk, talk, and worships his woman. Bannon is awe-mazing!!! Let me say this the way the kids were written in this book was another thing that made this book so great!

There is one scene where you will be like all this goes down in a limo?!?!? Had to be my oh shit moment! But I promise you will like everything about this book! It's page after page of oh shit, wait one damn minute, oh no sister girl didn't, and that is so sweet!

I am in serious book hangover!

Roller-coaster ride for sure....

Truly and Bannon are a perfect example of love conquers all. Their romance is strong, hard, and wrong. They have to fight hard for their love and the opportunity to be together. They found their HEA and stuck with it. I applaud them for that. The story takes a lot of twists and turns. Have a few accidents but I am glad I stuck it out and finished. It was "TRULY" worth it. I wondered at times where the Author was going. Yet everything fit together and "TRULY" added to the story.
Truly pulled at me from the beginning. I felt some kind of way about her experience in the foster care system. In my line of work, horrible foster care stories anger me. Truly was a survivor, not a victim. She learned at a young age and protected those that she loved.
Bannon was the rich alpha playboy that was tamed. He was always two steps ahead of everyone around him. I wanted him to have Mafia ties but he was just rich. Nevertheless, he did not disappoint.
I would recommend this story to anyone and everyone. It's a pretty good read. It holds your attention, makes you question the author's sanity, makes you almost want to cry, and then smiles.

Read it and let me know what you think.

Happy Reading!

i had this book in my library for a few weeks, wasn’t sure if I was going to read it. However, I opened this book and could not put it down. This story definitely took you through the ringer. All you wanted to do is see Truly catch a break. This character faced so many challengers just so she could provide for her sister and her family. The unlikely love affair between Truly and Bannon was sweet, unconventional, frustrating, sad and happy. It was an unlikely pairing which should not have worked. The supporting characters like Dash, Ethan and the kids were enjoyable. Let’s not forget the ones you wanted to kick to the curb like Jarvis, Nessy and Bannon’s dad just to name a few. I enjoyed the dynamics between all the characters, their interactions and motives towards one another kept you guessing. I especially enjoyed Truly, she was a fighter and a survivor, thank you for such a good story.
