Have you ever wondered what it’s like to run with wolves… I mean real wolves… wild wolves.
John Ryder does just that. Completely captivated by an old Indian legend, John searches out and joins an extremely elusive wolf pack… But this is no ordinary wolf pack. These wolves have a twisted history and an unparalleled destiny.
Together, as a family, they will rule the wilderness and eventually John himself becomes the most efficient killer the forest has ever seen. But everything has a price and in the deepest parts of the wild, blood is the only currency.
"He was the first outside of my clan to see me for who I was becoming. I wondered if the rest of the world would now see me too. I could only hope so. I was beginning to realize that it was not the body that made the wolf, a wolf. It was not the keenness or the coat, it was the spirit. With the Charipou, one could be joined into the tribe." - Ryder
I thought this book was fine. It was a quick read and the author had some interesting ideas. I was expecting something different from the plot, based on the blurb, and the ending is a bit too ambiguous for me to find it satisfying.
