Very informative and helpful.

This book was very informative and very helpful in the understanding of critical thinking. "Critical thinking is a deliberate process of examining, understanding, and evaluating information in a methodical manner." It explains the Greek beginnings of critical thinking - kritikos-. This book explains how to apply the 80/20 rule into practice in many areas, including time utilization, relationship building, goal orientation, and sales strategy. I highly recommend this book!!

I have read several books about critical thinking, and I think this is a good one for beginners; meaning, while it dives into the fundamental idea, it has a tendency to rephrase the definition of many key concepts for the sake of clarification. It covers fallacies concisely yet clearly, which turned out to be a good review for me. It's well worth the section on cognitive biases. Eventually, it does get into the more complex schools of thought and practical applications.

Common sense in a book that everyone should read

Years ago I thought everyone had this kind of logic as the basic, then I realised was less common than I expected. The book offers a clear, concise, and comprehensive guide to what should be common sense but often isn't. That's why this book deserves to be mandatory reading for every high school student, particularly in today's universities across the US.
