Kỹ năng giải quyết vấn đề là cần thiết vì chúng ta gặp vấn đề mỗi ngày trong cuộc sống: công việc, gia đình, mối quan hệ, tình cảm,.v.v..Và theo báo diễn đàn kinh tế thế giới thì đây là 1 trong 3 kỹ năng cần thiết đối với giới trẻ cũng như lực lượng lao động trong tương lai ( bao gồm : kĩ năng giao tiếp, kĩ năng sáng tạo, kĩ năng giải quyết vấn đề)

Tuy nhiên, theo kinh nghiệm bản thân thì mình thấy kĩ năng cần thiết này không được chú trọng và đào tạo đúng mực trong suốt quá trình đi học. Do đó, mình nghĩ tự mỗi người cần bổ sung kiến thức này cho bản thân.

Quyển sách cung cấp phương pháp khoa học giúp bạn nhận biết xu hướng tư duy của mỗi cá nhân trong việc ra quyết định, ưu điểm và hạn chế, đồng thời đưa ra lời tư vấn cho mỗi trường hợp.

Quyển sách tuy thiên về các ví dụ kinh doanh, nhưng 50% kiến thức là gần gũi cuộc sống hàng ngày. Quyển sách đưa ra cách tiếp cận và diễn giải vấn đề thông minh, khoa học, và dễ hiểu. Đối với những quyển sách có tính phân tích sâu như vầy, việc nắm 50%-60% ý tưởng của tác giả là đủ để bạn trang bị cho mình kĩ năng. Kĩ năng này là cẩn thiết và sẽ phải vận dụng cả đời, nên rất đang đọc.

This book definitely contained a lot of interesting information. What I really liked was how he broke down how the brain views problems and how it solves them. It gave me a very fresh perspective on problems, especially ones involving other people. It’s really helped me look at things differently and understand how sometimes people do things without meaning them etc. The structure of the book was also really good. He would first identify the topic of the chapter, then break it down into smaller and smaller pieces and ultimately arrive at the conclusion of the chapter.

The reason I’m giving this three stars though, is because I didn’t particularly like his writing style. It’s a bit cheesy at times and has many failed attempts at humor. That’s not to say he’s a bad writer, just not exactly someone I’d read from again.

Lots of interesting nuggets of information and suggestions of different ways to approach solving problems. Succinctly presented and well laid out with bullet points, diagrams and summaries. I do feel I have gained some new tools, but not convinced I can now "solve almost any problem".

A lot of useful infomation to solve problem, specially the problem matrix. I read the Vietnamese translation book which is not that good!

Offers a new perspective in problem solving. Perhaps it should have been more in depth in explaining the different kind of problem solving methods and have more questions for the audience to utilise, but overall it's a pleasurable read!
