You would be overjoyed to find such an evidence that would tell you about the great things as well as the struggles they faced.

In this book, our protagonist finds a diary that exudes the fragrance of a tale written in the 1947. We all knew that how deadly those times were in the partition. A love story that blossomed in the time of partition. But, were they able to keep their relationship alive or were separated? Watch Meher embark on a journey to find out about the love story that happened back in the day. As she navigates her way along this path, she will witness a lot of amazing events and would be quite shocked to know about some things that tell us about the power of love.

I had a great time reading this book as the story is narrated in such a unique manner. Everything is written so beautifully and emotions are expressed in a very relatable way. It's the love story of two youngsters Rajveer and Kirat set pre-independence in Lahore.
Just like any youngsters they too dreamt of a future together and exchanged their love letters and sweet nothings under a blooming Gulmohar Tree.
But then the partition of India based on religion drove the non Muslims from Lahore to the safety of Amritsar. The bloody journey where at every step Kirat and Rajveer encounter hate and bloodshed in the name of religion leaves its trail of destruction and trauma in their lives also.
But then as Kirat's granddaughter Meher reads her grandmother's old diary she understands in the blood of religious hatred, the Gulmohar Tree of love has bloomed.
When people killed to please their God, the love of Rajveer and Kirat had embraced the truth of God, that is love and had nurtured it. Highly recommended read.
