"In this inspiring and practical guide, Hope MacDonald shares her experience with the power of prayer and her hard-won knowledge of the nine basic steps that lead to a meaningful life of prayer and worship."
If you are interested in learning how to pray, or maybe you want to get serious about prayer, then this book is quick to read and full of application. It explains her nine-step prayer model through twelve chapters. I found it easy to read a quick chapter every morning. This book is written to Christian women, and was published in 1976. Her examples are from her life as a missionary, pastor's wife and stay at home mother. I would love to meet her. I found this book on my shelf while doing a personal study on prayer. It is available used on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and I believe Google Books, as well.
I was invited to read this book through Young Life and I am so glad I did! In ministry I am often asked for suggestions on how to pray and reading this book will be my new number one recommendation! I love how the author breaks the answer into 9 parts, divided into chapters, and makes each section sound so easy to follow. I also appreciate the added outline at the end of the book that you can use for yourself or to help teach someone else to pray. This is an excellent resource and I highly recommend it for someone who is looking for either more structure or to go deeper in their prayer life.
