Amelia #4

Amelia the Level Zero Hero Book 4

Rate this book
All of Vacuos shall know the Voidgod's wrath.

Now that Guardian Angel Z357 is dead, there is nothing left standing in the path of Kallistus Kal and his one true desire. Not the Astrad Kingdom, not the Sect of the Abyssal Thorns, and certainly not Amelia. Especially Amelia. Because she is far too busy dealing with the baby bastion bees back in her restaurant.

However, when everyone turns to her to save them, she will have no choice but to choose between her normal life and being a hero once again.

another humdrum volume from a mediocre series

The VA Lewis team needs to recruit writers that develop better characters or rehire whoever they lost a few years ago when Trace came out. Early Salvos and Abomination seem like a long time ago. Thera was probably the last good book from the Lewis group. Amelia goes around in circles. I was abused as a void fighter and I want a cozy life but I just can’t! Woe is me! Noel should be the MC because at least she changes and her story is interesting. At this point I’d be happy with a Bucky and the Bees centered story if Amelia would just stay in her restaurant and cook food or grow corn or whatever. She only complains about long hours, lack of customers or too many customers or too few employees or whatever mundane problems a McDonald’s store owner might face. Could have made her an aimless wanderer or something.

Dyslexic Font Support Broken

Dyslexic font doesn't work with this title which makes it EXTREMELY hard to read. Considering the eight chapters that I've struggled through so far haven't been the greatest, I'm throwing in the towel.

a bit slow feeling

This is more for the writers to improve the book then a review for the readers fyi

The story was good and whatnot but it just feels a little bit slow while the actual progression of the story is just fine I think it would have benefited from more random pointless mini events like a character causing a ruckus in the restaurant to help keep things interesting and I think it was a bit of a missed opportunity (small spoiler warning) that when they left the town you didn’t do any checkup side story stuff instead those 2 just left and were never heard from again for effectively the rest of the book

Good story, but has quality issues.

First off, I really did enjoy this series as a whole. There are a few areas that can drag a little, but overall, it's a good story.
My main issue is with the numerous grammar, spelling, and mistakes. I know the author posts the chapters on patreon as he writes it, but it appears that he never fixes the mistakes for the book release. It frankly comes off as amateurish when a released novel has so many errors. It takes you out of the story when your brain has to correct the mistakes as you're reading.
But on a more positive note, this was a great ending to the story are, and leaves room for more in the future.

Enjoyable.

It started out with a lot of the focus jumping around to other characters but it finished strong. Book like this have to be hard to write since the MC doesn’t want to follow the narrative and instead would rather go bake a cake but it doesn’t make for an interesting story if the MC doesn’t do anything so the author has to get creative. Not bad all things considered. Not bad at all.

A good end to an arc and an overall decent ending spot for the seires if you are feeling fatigue. Overall the writing was spotty at times with statements repeating constantly. The English was also alright but could have been a lot better. Some sentences or statements by characters were written out fully instead of saying something like OK or I understand we got, I get what you are saying or something like that.

Two characters gets some development but the rest stay overall the same.

inter-connected madness

After everything you realize this novel was playing in gurren lagann power Lvs. So at some point you just sit with wide eyes has nothing is true and everything is permitted.

What an outstanding story! And series!

I have to say, Amelia is the epitome of the good idea fairy. A butter bar lieutenant, bar none. That being said, She's also a part of an incredible redemption story. And in the end, the reasons for her continuing apathy are revealed.

Regret reading so soon after #3... bit too samey to binge... crazy escalated ending that ended the first story arc, so an easy pause point for the series... also a surprising amount of backstory retcons...

I like this series but Amelia’s ongoing refusal to intervene was kind of disappointing and annoying at this point in the story. I get how it played into her character but I also think everyone knows she was going to intervene at some point so that part of the story was redundant with how many characters were involved. I’m not sure if this is the last book in the series or if there will be more but it seems like the adventure is coming to a close. Amelia is becoming a boring character focused on cooking and she isn’t really mentoring anyone nor is she really having much adventure. I do like the other characters in the series and how they have all had the opportunity to grow which is another thing Amelia wanted for them but this particular book just felt less adventurous overall.

I do recommend reading this book as it feels like a finale. If it is a final book I’d probably give it a higher rating but as of right now it is unclear if it is so I will give it 3 stars with the potential for 4 stars.
