I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for a fair review, and, as I expected, Dale does it again!
This book is an awesome 10,000 ft overview of how to quickly produce a quality book in 2 days time. It is a guide rather than a step-by-step tutorial, but still is packed with useful information. The links to helpful services are worth their weight in gold.
Is it really possible to write a good book in 48 hours? Read it and find out! since the book was, in fact, written in that time period. Included are breakdowns of each necessary element, from how to pick a title to where to have a professional cover created. The chapters on outlining and how to determine whether typing or dictating is most efficient for producing your content.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about publishing a book on a deadline..

Good.

I like the short book length and information packed in this book. I'm surprised that some authors can write a book in two days via typing or dictation. Yet, I believe this to be impractical for fiction writers who write novellas and novels and desire a high-quality book. But if a fiction writer is creating a novelette, short story, or flash fiction, then they can pull it off.

Dale has included some strategies that authors can use to make it happen, but I know it wouldn't work for me. I cannot sit at my computer almost all day making a book. While Dale addresses both nonfiction and fiction books, I think it is easier to create a nonfiction book in two days.

I recommend this book.

a solid plan

Roberts lays out, as the subtitle states, a step-by-step plan to aid your completion on a book in 48 hours- a solid draft in 48 hours. I liked his suggestions and will incorporate those ideas that I currently don’t use- most I do, and he does have a good plan. I enjoy his books.

How to Write a Book in 48 Hours: A Simple Step-by-Step System for Writing a Good Book Fast” by Dale L. Roberts is the concise guide you need to begin writing your first or next book today. In easy, straightforward language, this author breaks down what you need to do to write a good book in just 48 hours. It doesn’t sound possible, because most people believe it takes weeks, months, or years to write a good book. The main thing to remember is that this book is from one author’s perspective, and although his methods and advice can be found online, he has something else to offer that a search engine can’t, and that’s his own personal experiences, the ones he chooses to pass on to you in this book.

Roberts gets to the meat and potatoes of how to write quickly. It’s obvious from his enthusiasm and natural educational style that he was meant to be a writer. He explains in just a few pages the information contained in multiple books hundreds of pages each. It’s not exactly a recipe formula. You must still know how to write. But this guide takes most of the mystery and angst out of it. For example, with the author’s experience of writing over fifty books, he can tell you the things to do, and not to do, because he’s been there, done that.

This is advice you would need to pay speakers hundreds of dollars for, multiple times. Just a few of the pieces of actionable advice you’ll find in his chapters include how and why to set your timeline, ways of producing content, the best way to outline, how to edit and proofread, options for publishing, how and where to market, etc.

The big takeaway lesson for me in the book is that you shouldn’t make writing and publishing hard when it doesn’t have to be. Readers will enjoy the author’s personable, encouraging style. You can tell he enjoys helping others succeed, and his own success story is one we can all learn from.

If you’re a writer, you’ve probably run into his writing videos on YouTube. He has a very popular and sought-after online presence, and it’s easy to see why. He explains it all, from something as simple as how to choose a good title, to how to make a good writing checklist. If you’re looking for a simple writing guide that you can digest in one sitting, but use for years to come, “How to Write a Book in 48 Hours: A Simple Step-by-Step System for Writing a Good Book Fast” by Dale L. Roberts is a must for your writing toolbox.

After reading Roberts’ book “How To Write A Nonfiction Book in 24 Hours,” I was curious as to the need for a book to show you how to write a book half as fast. Where the previous book was mainly about how to get things done fast, and focused on nonfiction writing, this book claims to go into writing either fiction or nonfiction.

The information contained is laid out concisely—perhaps maybe too concisely as it often reads like extracts of a PowerPoint presentation. This doesn’t feel like a writing book so much as an organized list of things you need to accomplish when writing a book. Connection between the title and the content is made through Roberts’ assessment of time to complete each section or phase of the process. I found these to be very arbitrary and very dependent on having a lot of forethought in place on the book you wish to write.

I think there is useful information in this book. However, overall, I struggle with who is its intended audience. A new writer—especially one writing fiction, will not find a good level of detail in helping them craft their story. An experienced writer would already know what goes into writing a book—so will not benefit much from the writing instruction in this book, and would benefit more from the speed-writing suggestions put forth in “…24 Hours.”.

I enjoyed listening to How to Write a Book in 48 Hours. It was short and sweet, direct and to the point with simple easy steps. As someone who is secretly playing at the idea of writing and publishing a book this was insightful in a to-do list kind of fashion. I took plenty of notes and brain dumped some ideas, on changing the way I was attempting my own book that I can try to put into effect, as I was listening. I look forward to trying some of them out.

This is a good, short read with concise information and actionable steps. I think this is an excellent starting point to get a project moving but I would have liked more tips on how to write quickly and what to do when the words flow slowly.

Overall I would recommend this book to anyone looking for some motivation to write a finished piece in a short time span.

This was a very quick read, with zero fluff.
It gives a nice outline in relation to expected time for writing a book, but assumes a LOT of pre planning has gone into either character development or research, which is a large chunk of time not accounted for in this book.
The book does contain helpful hints and links though!

Dale L. Roberts's How to Write a Book in 48 Hours: A Simple Step-by-Step System for Writing a Good Book Fast is the author's way of sharing his experience as a self-published author. Presenting an accumulation of ways to accomplish the work in a practical and orderly manner to make it easier for novice writers to carry out their work more smoothly.

He begins by sharing some of his writing experience, then moves on to the steps that can help the writers both during and after completing their projects, such as setting a timeline, taking a break, how to choose your idea or cover, and other tips.

The steps are doable; moreover, the author's style gives them a personal vibe. Maximizes the credibility of his content by explaining the steps and the means available to carry it out, then sharing which of those means suited him and helped him as a writer. He clarifies that the process differs according to your estimation of your time or your mastery of one skill over another. The important thing is, and here I will quote the author’s words: “Create a solid book you can confidently stand behind.”

The accuracy of the details mentioned by the writer is appreciated, whether in the ease of style or through providing links to websites or names of platforms that may help achieve the desired goal of the book.

Perhaps I would have preferred if the author chose a slightly larger font size, but other than that, this book is brilliantly organized without detail that causes confusion and is professionally edited. Therefore, it deserves 5 out of 5 stars.

The book is suitable for all readers and will especially be a good choice for aspiring authors and lovers of writing, whether beginners or those trying to break the deadlock of ideas to complete their next book. The book is stirring, easy to read, concise, and helpful.
