I went against the Coven. What’s the worst that could happen?
When your dad is the head of the most notorious arcane crime family in the country, telling him no isn’t really in the cards. My rebellion has brought a war to our doorstep, and the last thing Savannah needs is my mob boss father in the mix.
But if they find out my fiancé is dead? And the Alpha’s second killed him? Well, Theo’s bite won’t be able to save us.
Nothing will.

Hexes and Hijinx (Arcane Souls World: The Lost Witch #2) by Annie Anderson
***5 magical stars***
This story was absolute fire! Theo and Fiona are unstoppable magic together! No pun intended. Ok, maybe a little pun.
Bringing the whole Night Watch gang back together, fighting side by side, was the greatest spectacle. Then, Annie makes my dream come true, bringing in my favorite little vampire vixen, Ingrid? Excitement overload!
Theo was always labeled the outcast, but he's so much more than what anyone thinks. The same goes for our girl, Fiona. The two of them have had quite the journey. One that included a wave of evil, trickery, and murdery vibes.
Yes, I'm not ashamed to admit, Annie drew a few tears from me, and I'm sure that brought much delight to her! Run, don't walk, and join the shenanigans that is the Arcane world. You won't regret it!
Hi Y’all! Come in and grab a cold drink while I tell you about this book I just read.
The title is Hexes and Hijinx by Annie Anderson it is book 2 and the final one in the Lost Witches series. You do have to read in order as this picks up where the first book ended.
The cover is sharp and goes well with the title. Then I read the blurb and it really got my interest because arcane crime families and war sounds good to me! Plus I read the first and really need to know how she gets out of this mess!
The story is a pnr romance with some suspense.
Who’s my favorite main character ? Annie. She is very likeable and a strong female lead. ( Was there another character I loved and why). There are so many characters to pick from. Darby is cool. She’s a mix of a lot of things and her sister is Lady Death but I have to choose Ingrid. Who wouldn’t love a child vampire that can kick almost any butt and is on the Arcane council.
The story has several settings. I loved how this fit in the story as each was better than the last and kept you on your toes.
There are so many plot twists. It really keeps you on edge of your seat. There is some sad times to do have some Kleenex.
I loved the ending. It was HEA and really a perfect ending to the series.
If you like fated mates, enemies to lovers, great characters , witches, wolves, vampires and more and a great romance you will love this.
HEXES AND HIJINX is the second and final book in The Lost Witch series. You really need to read Book One as this one follows on from where that left off.
Theo and Fiona go from one thing straight to another. Her father is a piece of work and the thought of framing his daughter for the murders of a whole coven is nothing if it means he can escape.
Theo proves beyond any doubt that he means to stand by Fiona, no matter what! In return, Fiona is Theo's in all ways. Their combined grumpiness, spice and sass came through loud and clear, and I loved how the story flowed.
One thing for me was although Theo and Fiona's relationship moved forward, it almost felt as though it was on the back burner - which kind of makes sense considering what they were up against, but still. Personally, I would have liked a little more time with those two, rather than everyone else, but that's just me.
A great read and a brilliant finale to their story. I'm really hoping we return to this world. Definitely recommended by me. ** same worded review will appear elsewhere **
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book; the comments here are my honest opinion. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!. Oct 3, 2023
Saying no got her in more trouble than she expected. Now the chaos is really starting and our heroine has no one to turn to except our hero, which is not exactly the help she is looking for. Seems like life just got a lot more complicated.
This is book two of the series, but it does pretty well as a standalone. It is still early in the series, so fairly easy to catch up on what is going on.
This is an urban fantasy story with shifters in the mix. The story is very well written and grabs your attention right out of the gate. I love our heroine who is tough and smart, but perhaps in a bit over her head. The characters and setting are also well done and definitely drive the story. The plot moves at a good pace and includes plenty of action and intrigue to keep it interesting. Overall, another fun story and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
Highly recommended.

Picking up from where the first book in the Lost Witch series left off, we find Fiona and Theo mated, and now they’re on the run as Josiah Jacobs has them in his sights. Fiona knows she will have to face her father, and end his ruthless hold on the Jacobs coven, but first they will have to prove themselves not guilty of mass murder…
This story completes Fiona and Theo’s story, but not without a fight! There’s a lot going on, secrets revealed, and destinies fulfilled. We see a lot of cameo appearances from the various Arcane Souls World Series out there- yes these will be spoiled if you haven’t already read them, but if you have, it’s a nice treat seeing some of those characters again. There’s plenty of action, romance, and magic, and it’s a satisfying resolution to this series, neatly tying back in to the Wrong Witch series at the end. An enjoyable urban fantasy for UF and contemporary fantasy lovers.
I don’t think it’s any big secret that I’m a huge fan of anything from this author, but I have loved Fiona since she first appeared in The Wrong Witch series. Her goodness is obvious, but she’s got just enough bad in her to let everyone know not to mess with her or her family and friends.
Every book and series that Annie writes always has amazing character development. This was no different but it was also really fun to see how Fiona and Theo’s relationship also changed.
I gotta say the twist in this book was so unexpected and also so satisfying, it’s soooooo good! You’re just gonna have to read it 😉
I had no idea this was the final book for The Lost Witch series but I was in no way mad at how this ended. It was perfect!
Can’t wait for the next story to come out of the Acosta pack!!.

This is the second book in this series and they must be read in order. This is the conclusion of Fiona and Theo’s story. It picks up right were the first book left off. Fiona and Theo have just fled from Fiona’s family home. Only to learn that Fiona is being blamed to her family home being blown up and many people killed. Now she will have to prove she didn’t do and get her dad to come out of hiding to arrest him. Fiona is about to go on a wild ride that is going to turn her world upside down. She will question if Theo is really her mate or not. Learn secrets about her family that will hurt. Theo won’t let her go through any of it alone. She is meant to be his and he will protect her at all costs. Fiona doesn’t ask for help but she will learn to lean on others in this book. That it isn’t a weakness to accept help from those you consider family. I loved this book so much. The characters are fantastic. I love this world so much. I can’t wait for the next book Annie. Annie is a must read author for me. While these books interconnect in the Arcane souls world each series can be read by its self. Although the books within each series should be read in order. I couldn’t put this book down once I started. Fantastic job another wonderful book Annie.
This is a great follow-up to the first book in the series, Curses and Chaos. Fiona Jacobs finds herself mated to a shifter from the Acosta pack. Theo has basically run the pack for the past 3 years while his brother, Nico, was searching for his wife.
But, before the two can even get accustomed to the fact that they are mates, Fiona learns the truth about her father and her true family. She finds herself accused of causing the deaths of a lot of the Arcane world, but is determined to exact revenge against the ones that actually caused the deaths.
If you enjoy books featuring fated mates, plenty of magical action, lots of great characters and loads of steam, this book will satisfy you. Annie Anderson is one of my favorite authors in this genre and this book is another fast-paced, entertaining book.

It felt like forever since I started reading Fiona and Theo”s story and I’m so happy that it’s here - Doing a happy dance now! This book is everything that I could have wished for. You have your determined heroine - Fiona -and loyal and sexy hero -Theo - and they battle the maniacal evil bad guy - Fiona’s Dad. Sooooo much happened in the book with huge backstory reveals. These reveals showed that they changed the course of Fiona’s life and gave her real motives to battle her Dad. This is a corker and drew me in. I could not put the book down until I had read the final page. I hope that this isn’t the last series with this group of friends as there are so many rich storylines out there to be written! This is a 5 star read and is highly recommended!
Theo and Fiona are on the run after her father declares war. Running is the only way she thinks will help protect her family and friends. But try as she might her friends and family won't let her do this alone and hunt her down to help her. Soothe great read. I'm loving all the new characters which i then realized that a lot of those characters have their own series prior to this. So i was definitely out of the loop on some stuff discussed and the relationship she had with them because they came from prior series so ill need to check those out now. I absolutely love the love and support Theo shows Fiona. They've definitely come a long way.
MUCH better than book 1 in this duology. I really do enjoy the Arcane World that Annie has written.
I liked Theo and Fiona better in this book too, and their relationship makes more sense now. In book 1, I wasn't feeling it.
There are also appearances from characters in all the previous series set in the Arcane World. I would recommend reading those before this duo. The author has a suggested reading list on her website.
I also listened to the audios for these 2 and enjoyed the narrators. I believe there were some editing mistakes in this book because there was one part where the female narrator seemed stilted while reading sentences- like, there was an unusually long pause between some sentences where there really shouldn't be one.
Fiona and Theo's story was great! Her backstory is so sad, but she uses it to find her backbone and strength for what's needed. Fighting against her enemies and their plans will take a lot! And Theo?!? What a fantastic mate! Standing right by her side, supporting her through everything, fighting with her for their common goal while learning his own role in the pack was more than he realized. And in the end? Our two fearsome warriors have new roles, strong friendships and an even tighter bond between them! And their enemies vanquished. An great story.

Fiona's and Theos story is so huge and wonderfully written. I enjoyed the fact that Annie Anderson didn't make it very easy to achieve. It shows that anything worth having is worth working and fighting for and as a team. This a was great reading and the flowed so well and I cried and was WTF so many times I lost count. The worst thing about this book is that it ended. But it ended in such a rewarding way with family and love winning who wouldn't or couldn't love that. Annie Anderson does it yet again. She never fails to bring out the feels with her books I'm always impressed and never disappointed with any of her books. 😀
This book picked up where book one, Curses and Chaos left off. OMG I was so excited to see some of my favorite characters from previous books step into this series!! Annie you are the best! I hate saying goodbye to any of your characters and love when you bring them back into other series!! Theo and Fiona are absolute fire together and the action, drama, heat, family, friendship, lots of magic and betrayal is crazy!!! Cannot wait til the next book in the series. This author is one of my favorite and I have never, ever been disappointed in any of her books. You need to start this series today!!!!
I didn’t know that this was the end to one of my favorite series, but it surely did not disappoint. I have been a fan of Fiona since the very beginning and her time to shine did not disappoint. The chemistry between her Theo is fun and amazing. Ms Anderson has a gift of truly capturing the essence of each character and manages to bring that to life in her writing in a way that totally captivates your imagination and makes the characters seem larger than life. So many twists and turns to the end, but worth every bit the read!!.

This is the second book in the Arcane Souls World: The Lost Witch Book 2. This story takes place in the same world as some of the author’s other series. This was a humorous read with just the right amount of romance. So much is going on in this book that it keeps you turning the pages. Well-developed story line and characters. It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This book has strong, well-developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. I’s a satisfying conclusion to a great series. I love a culmination of events that come together so smoothly and seamlessly you just flow towards an ending.
I am not ready say goodbye to you to but parts of this book felt like a coming home. The reintroduction of some characters in the world made it feel like a family gathering.
Redemption, revenge and a quirky romance. Fiona was a witch I wasn’t sure indeed love and I was so very wrong. If you are looking for a series to lose yourself in this is perfect for you.

Fiona and Theo are on the run, accused of blowing up her father’s house and killing him along with his coven. With the ABI hunting them and her ex-dead-fiancée’s family seeking revenge, Fiona sees her father’s plotting all over this incident. She is sure he is alive and hiding while he plans his attack.
This is even better than the first book! The paranormal action is non-stop and exciting. I couldn’t stop reading. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
The interaction of the characters really brings this book alive for the reader. Fiona Jacobs’ father was absolutely horrible and cruel. But finally discovering truth is very empowering for Fiona. There are surprises around every corner and non-stop excitement for the reader! Despite it looking like an impossible situation for our heroes to survive, their actions will leave you satisfied to see how Fiona and Theo bring their story to an unexpected resolution. Grab your copy and enjoy their adventure!
Fiona and Theo are back in Hexes and Hijinx book two of The Last Witch series and it picks up where book one left off. If you have read the other series set in the Arcane Souls World then you know how captivating the storyline is and how great the characters are. I loved the way the author brought characters from previous books into book two and I hope we get to see Fiona and the rest of the gang in future books. Great writing and interesting characters make this a five star read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I absolutely loved the conclusion of Fiona and Theo’s story. It had twist and turns that I didn’t see coming. I also loved seeing the other characters in the arcane souls world throughout the story and how their stories are intertwined. I absolutely recommend this series as well as the other books in the arcane souls world.

Knowledge is power. That is what her parents used against he for her whole life. But this time, she's learning the truth and fighting back with this knowledge is making her more powerful than she ever expected. With her mate beside her, it's time to right some wrongs. Another series by one of my favourite authors that's kept me spellbound from start to finish.

Fiona and Theo are back and the story was a riot. Both are upset but soldier through with surprises and a few hilarious scenes that had me laughing hard. Plus others from other series in this combined world show up to add to all the fun. Danger and action rule the story with some personal growth to round it out. A great story and fun to read. Enjoyed it a lot and read it in one sitting as I could not put it down.
This picks up flawlessly from book one. Theo and Fiona make a great couple. This is a fantastic Paranormal Romance! This was a fun and engrossing story for me, and kept me invested in the characters from the start. I wanted it to go no forever. I Love this Author's stories and this one is Amazing!!! GREAT READ! No Spoilers!.

Fiona has been through some times and fate is not slowing down. Fast paced and lots of action. Lots of new revelations. Some of the story made me cry but I was rooting for Fiona and Theo all the way. All the crew came together to help - even if only moral support. This was a good read start to finish. I recommend this read.

That is crazy and sad at 1 spot. The asshole wants a war paybacks a bitch especially when she finds out alotttttt of shit that was shocking. But even though the info hurt her it also made her much stronger. There needs 2 b alotttt more on this series like all the friends she met at the camp in the 1st book should get their own books 2 find love, etc. I loved it but I want more in this series not just like 2 books only. Read and she how strong she prevails in xs of danger.
🌶🌶🌶.5 Fantasy Paranormal Shifter Witches Enemies to Lovers Found Family
This was a great story that was full of action, drama & closure. Love that we got to see more about Fiona & her relationship with her family. But the best part was seeing all the support Fiona had just for doing what she felt was right. Learning about her real family & what happened to them could have left her bitter, but she just wanted justice.
I adored Fiona from the first meeting back in the Grave talker series, and Theo definitely grew on me after finding out about the Alpha order that made him a "bad guy" . As a couple, they are magnetic and exciting to read their adventures. From collected favors from her actions to unexpected family ties, Fiona had a wealth of people rooting for her, but none more than Theo.
Hexes and Hijinx is the second book of the Lost Witch series, and Theo and Fiona’s story. This picks up where the last book left off. It was a fun read, I was able to leap back into the action as the book started. The action was high impact and enjoyable. There is a lot more of Fiona’s back story that we get in the back story. It was action packed and fun.

This is a great ending to Fiona and Theo's story. I love how old friends from different books make their appearance in this book. It was a satisfying end to the villain of the story. This book had a great pace to it and was easy to read. I love the world building in it as well. I loved the story arch of Theo.
