Finally! A perfect resource for any leader who's ever had trouble creating scouting programs and activities compelling enough to compete with school, sports, jobs, and the thousands of other activities in your scout's life. These ideas, hints, and tips will spark your imagination and make scouting activities the highlight of your boys' week.
I'm an avid skier and snowboarder and a former member of the National Ski Patrol. I take long mountain-bike rides with my dog every morning (except in the winter, when we cross-country ski), and then spend the next couple of hours on my farm writing and editing my books. (No office . . . I usually just sit on the tailgate of my truck.) I am a licensed pilot, a certified scuba diver, and an Advanced EMT.
Great book. Lots of great examples of ways to make Scouting more interesting for the boys. It's focused on Boy Scouts, but I think some of the concepts can work even with Tigers. I just wish it the book had been longer!
A motivational book for scout leaders, with plenty of applicable tips for cubs. This helps me remember why scouting is important and fun and inspires me to be a little better. Some funny stories.
Great anecdotes to go with solid advice. Its not as easy to apply to Cub Scouts but I think the biggest advice here is THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX to make it fun.
