It's hard to deal with a death of a loved one, and many people long to communicate with the spirit of their loved one to be assured that they are at peace and happy. But how do you know if your loved one will talk to you? How will you know the signs? What can you do in order to communicate with that loved one? This book will answer all of those questions.
How to Talk to Me After I'm Gone is unique in the sense that it prepares you to communicate with loved ones after they are gone and when you are gone. It will help those afraid of death come to terms with its inevitability, as well as comfort and help those who are grieving for a loved one who has passed.

This book is a mini how-to talk to loved ones, including unknown ancestors, who have passed. For those who are relatively new to the grief of intense loss there are suggestions for how to establish rituals to honor the person and in the process set the framework for reaching out for connection.
Chauran offers step-by-step instructions for varying methods for achieving connection and communication to those who have passed. Many of her ideas are beyond ones that I am comfortable trying, but some of them seem quite helpful. This includes the basic but sometimes effective act of simple prayer.
The information that I found the most helpful in this book were steps to take to help those left behind while still alive. A checklist is provided that was helpful to read. Suggestions for reaching out to those we love while we are still together were lovely -- including the most important but oft-forgotten act of telling each other how much love we feel and that the love is forever more.
This is an interesting read to be sure. While I liked the various suggestions, I was looking at the book to specifically address human/spirit communication. While Chauran does some of this, the other areas into which she delves do distract and aren't always what a reader might want to read if looking for specific guidelines.
I would actually give this book a higher than 3 but not a 4 rating.
It wasn't what I was looking for but still, a very unique book on a unique topic. This was great for talking to your loved ones while they are alive but didn't really touch on how to communicate if you had not discussed future communication. Also the author referred to family too much. Many people feel closer to non-family and that was only lightly recognized.
But still, one of the few books on this topic and presented very factually so it is well worth a read.
This book was a refreshing read! I thoroughly enjoyed it! The author gives lots of advice in learning how to contact our loved ones on the other side! For anyone with a curiosity of communicating with their lost loved ones, this book is for you!
