CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) Study Exam FC0-U61 (Sybex Study Guide) Seller is not affiliated with Wiley and Wiley has not endorsed the spiraling of this book
If you have to take the ITF+ exam and only have time to read one study guide, DON'T use this book. Horrible. Poorly written - way too casual in tone - and terrible organization and formatting. Cringe-y jokes. Too much time spent on irrelevant details that aren't necessary on the test, and then it lacks info on subject matter that IS actually on the test. The review questions are awful too. For one chapter, two out of the twenty review questions were "what password did I use for the BAD/GOOD password example on page 263?" HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO HELP ME ON THE EXAM, QUENTIN?! I had to reschedule my exam date so that I had time to use a different study guide that actually prepared me for the exam. -5 stars
The tech study book that is both informative and interesting whilst also being surprisingly easy to read - the author got the flow just right!
The thing I found most interesting was how the author pieced together the evolution and history of technology. A lot more things make sense to me in our modern world after reading this one book.
A really good study guide for anybody wanting to take their A+ Fundamentals exam or just for personal reference, like I use it for. You also get access to one year's online extra content on the Sybex website, which includes, mock tests, flash cards and a glossary of terms.
I passed the exam using only this book as a reference. The author's style keeps you engaged. There are occasional jokes that help break up the monotony of studying.
