I commenced professional counseling in Australia over 2 decades ago.
During this time, I have lived by the following principle:
Professional counseling is a privilege! When someone invites you into into their life to address very serious issues, simply, because they cannot.
I consider this a great privilege.
Early in my career, our country was in the midst of a devastating drought. I was one of the counselors helping the people suffering from it. The difficulty was breaking through certain stereotypes associated with mental health and wellbeing.
One of my greatest life achievements was helping transform some of my country's most toughened and hardened people and their communities during this extremely difficult time, enabling them to cope and recover.
Here are my stories; through my writing, I now wish to engage with a wider audience.
My writing has relatability- simple comprehension and understandable terms.
I trust you will feel the empathy and compassion through my written word.
Personally, I am a genuine, honest and caring sort of person; I would say a typical Aussie.
Wherever possible, I endeavor trying to make a person's day a little better.
I love the outdoors- cherish nature and the flora and fauna of Australia.
I love participating in, and watching, all forms of sport.
I love being around family and friends but also relish my own company.
My Life Motto: Today I will be the best version of myself.
