"I don't want to take a bath!" cries Little Tiger. Even though Mommy Tiger tells him taking a bath is fun, Little Tiger does not agree, and off he scampers into the jungle to play. He grows dirtier and dirtier and none of his friends mind - that is until Little Tiger meets Peacock.

This book is great for the little bath hater in your household. It's about a little tiger trying to avoid bath time. He runs off from his mother and spends time playing with a monkey, a bear, an elephant and a rhino. He ends up running away from each playmate when their mamas deem it bath time. He comes across a peacock who finds him too dirty to associate with and he is still unconvinced until he comes across his own filthy reflection in the river. Shocked by his appearance, he gawks so hard at himself that he falls into the river only to discover what fun it can be to splash around and get clean. After his bath he snubs a dirty leopard who wants to play....
It's time for little tiger's bath, but he slips away to play with his friends. As he and his pals get increasingly dirty, each of his little friends gets called away to have a bath. Little tiger moves on, getting dirtier and dirtier, until he meets a peacock -- who won't play with him because he's so dirty. When little tiger examines his reflection in a pond, to try to determine just how dirty he is, he falls into the water -- instant bath!
Cute story and pictures, but not my favorite. My daughter, however, loves this book. We have taken it out of the library (and renewed it!) several times.
I Don't Want to Take a Bath! by Julie Sykes was a favorite board book when my children were toddlers. I used to read it to them at bath time. I read it one last time before boxing it up to give to a friend.
Little Tiger likes to play. He likes to get dirty. He doesn't like baths. Even when all of his friends go home to take baths in the jungle river and watering holes, he refuses. It's not until his invitation to play is refused that he rethinks his no bath strategy.
The book includes many different kinds of animals. It's fun to have children name the animals and make sounds for them. It's also a good book for those times when little ones are being stubborn.
This is a cute story about the importance of bathing. It would be a good way to talk to students about the fact that everybody has to take a bath. The tiger gets so dirty that some animals do not want to play with him. He stays dirty and doesn't want to have a bath. The tiger eventually takes a bath and really enjoys it. I don't like the fact that the little tiger ignored the leopard and didn't want to play with him because he was dirty. It seems like a weird way to introduce hygiene issues. I would use it in a classroom as a book for students to read, but I can't really think of a lesson to shape around it. Adorable illustrations, but the classroom use would be really limited.
Katanya, "Kalau nggak mau mandi nanti seperti Harimau Cilik ya Bunda?"
Cute story about a little tiger who doesn't want to take his bath. He plays with various animals and he gets dirtier and dirtier until finally someone doesn't want to play with him because he is so dirty. The story and illustrations are cute and the narrative is repetitive (too much so for my taste), so it's sure to be a hit with younger children. Good for encouraging a child who hates baths to take one.
This was one of my favorite children's book as kid!! and I thought that my mom had thrown away this book. but while helping take down christmas decorations and put them away, I found it in a basket in our storage room. it was a fun find and I was excited to see it was still there. so I sat down and read it! still as cute and funny as I remember!! and defiantly will want to read this to my kids when I have them!
Jenna (3) thought this book was so funny - she really seemed to identify with the main character, a little tiger who didn't want to take his bath. She asked me to read it over and over to her and she "read" it many times herself. She especially liked saying the "I don't want to have a bath" line in a really loud voice.
A really cute children's book- my three year old daughter loves this one. About Little Tiger who doesn't want to take a bath until a beautiful peacock won't play with him because she doesn't want to get her feathers dirty. :) He then goes on to bathe by himself in the river. Definitely recommended for toddlers who love animals.
I thought this was a really good book that talked about being clean and taking a bath. I would recommend this book to younger students who may not like to take baths or be clean. The text was a little longer, but the pictures made for an easy read.
I would use this book in the classroom to teach students about hygiene and why its important to be clean.
3.75 Stars Having trouble getting your kids to take a bath? Well you are in good company with Little Tiger...he is not interested! He wants to have fun and play but in the end...he discovered that bath time can be lots of fun!!
Little Tiger is not interested in a bath until he plays with many friends and gets so dirty that he is rejected by peacock as a playmate. Read the book to discover the cute ending! Kids love this one!
Ungarna i barnahagen är mycket glada i denna bok och jag sätter betyg efter hur mycket ungarna tycker om den. En liten historia om en tiger som inte vill bada men i slutänden kommer fram till att det kanske inte är en så dum ide. Ok enkel konst.
Buku bagus dengan terjemahan yang kurang bagus. Sayang sekali. Tapi berkat membaca buku ini Damar berteriak, "Damar suka mandi!!!" Semoga besuk prakteknya juga seperti itu :D.
