The law of attraction — how to use the mental and physical abilities we were born with to create wealth and success — is wonderful to know, but many who have discovered this “secret” still lead miserable lives. The Greatest Secret of All clearly explains this law of manifestation but then takes it a quantum leap further, revealing what is truly important in life.
We have what we need within us to do what we love, to be the people we dream of being, and to become completely fulfilled along the way — to become, as Abraham Maslow put it, self-actualized.
We also have the capability, here and now, to create a world that works for everyone. In these pages, you will find the secret to a life of happiness, inner peace, ease, and fulfillment, and the secret that lets each of us contribute to making the world a better place for all.
The greatest secret of all is that we already have everything we need to be happy and fulfilled in our lives. We’ve known it from the start. We’ve just forgotten how to do so. As children, we dreamed big and expected positive results. We didn’t question if we deserved a particular outcome or fixate on all the things that would stand in our way. If we decided one day that we’d really like to be a cowboy when we grew up, we knew we’d be one. It was that simple.
Last year, I reviewed the print version of The Greatest Secret of All. At the time, I was a little concerned that it was just another manifesting book taking advantage of the popularity of The Secret. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. While the book does make use of manifesting, the author encourages the reader to dig deeper to find true happiness rather than simply focusing on material wealth and a bunch of useless stuff.
The audio version of The Greatest Secret of All includes two CDs. That’s just under two hours of run time. The material covered moves along pretty quickly and is suitable for listening to as you do mundane tasks.
There are a million, gazillion written by, about, and for type-A personalities that love phrases like "super stoked" and putting in 80 hour work weeks as a means to become prosperous, enriched, and make a healthy living. This book is not one of them.
Marc is definitely a type-B, has struggled with staying motivated, focused, and engaged. He has struggled with finding a focus in the first place and has had magificent failures along the way. Still through all this is was able to take find his passion and life-purpose. He has been to utilize his skills, talents, and abilities - along with some wisdom, insight, and information he gained along the way - to become immensely successful.
This is a wonderful book for the rest of us who find the bombastic, in your face, larger than life, super intense, motivational speakers a complete turn off and are looking for ideas for taking our passions and making a constructive impact on the world while earning a healthy living.
The Secret. Everyone seems to think that there is some sort of deeply hidden secret to being happy and living a good life. The truth is that there is no secret. The answer is simple, something that we learned as children and somehow forgot over the years.
In The Greatest Secret of All, the author shares the story of his own personal journey. At thirty, he had a sudden realization that the life he was living did not at all resemble the life he wanted. He was unhappy, broke, and lost. We've all been there.
However, instead of accepting his lot in life, the author decided he needed a change. Like most of us, at first he didn't know where to even start. Over time though, he created a working system of goal setting, affirmations, and the willingness to be open to the possibilities.
The Greatest Secret of All is that we all can have a good life. We all deserve to be happy. Most importantly, that the power to fulfil these wishes is within each one of us.
I thought this book was pretty simple and to the point. It serves as a guide through the things that we already know and lose track of or let fear dictate our lives.
I love these type of books because they just serve me as a reminder when I forget that life is about living fearless, taking chances and receiving the greater good.
Allen gives really good and practical ways to implement the law of attraction in a quotidian manner. It's short and written in a straightforward manner. And it's been working for me! Takes some practice, like anything else... but it works.
Nice short book, I would of read it within a day or two if I had more time to read each day. Not just a book about manifesting but taking action on your goals and aspirations as well with steps on how to achieve them. This is a book to reflect on and do the work asked in the book to really get the most from it.
Some notes I took-
Write down your ideal scene of your dream life five years in the future Write down the list of goals from the scene Rewrite the goals as affirmations (in present tense starting or ending with the phrase- In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way… Carry around a list of the goals as affirmations and read it multiple times a day Write a one page plan to achieve each major goal Review the plans, rewrite them if they change Take action, write down a action step to take each week in a calendar or diary Course correct each time you wander off course or fear and doubt creeps in by focusing on your goals and affirmations In every situation ask yourself~ what benefits could there possibly be in this situation? What opportunities? What gifts? What is the best possible thing that could happen? What kind of life do you want to create for yourself? The choice is yours to make, and you have limitless possibilities to choose from.
Quotes- Dream, Imagine, Believe, Create Love is the creative force of all life and love is all that matters We have a great purpose in life, to grow, evolve, to reach our full potential and contribute to the betterment of the world. We are far greater than we think we are, our potential is vast
While this book had some good steps to follow and to put into action, it also had some things that were just wrong. "...God, Allah, Jehovah, the Buddha Mind, Great Goddess, Nature, Spirit, the Tao...…….. all these words are interchangeable." No...they are not. God is not interchangeable with Allah; God is not interchangeable with the Buddha Mind. These lies are not something to fill one's mind with.
Creating our ideal life is simple, says Allen: Write down “Ideal Scene,” summarize the IS in the form of specific goals, and distill those goals in the form of affirmations. Repeat the affirmations as necessary until your goals manifest and your Ideal Scene materializes. The greatest secret of all is that love and service are the fuel and engine of all manifestation. Dream, Imagine, Believe, Create for the greatest good of all. You have the power!
LOVED THIS BOOK! It's a lot of what I have learned over the last few years, but a nice reminder that I'm on the right track. Also, it's very simple to manifest the life of your dreams, if done correctly. This book shows you the best way. Baby steps with a focus on the end result. Brilliant!
A quick read. Nothing really new, but enjoyable. 4 steps to help manifest your goals " Dream. Imagine. Believe. Create." Basically, if you write down your goals and write down a list of steps to obtain those goals, you're more likely to achieve your goals.
In this short and enjoyable book, Marc Allen talks about moving beyond the secret of manifestation to the greatest secret of all: loving and serving yourself and others.
As he notes, finding true fulfillment through love is not really a secret. But as he quotes from the Bhagavad Gita, "I use the word secrets not because these things are hidden, but because so few people are prepared to hear them today."
Allen walks through the 4 simple steps to manifestation: 1 - Dream 2 - Imagine 3 - Believe 4 - Create
...and then he describes what he calls the "core belief process" which helps you deal with any difficult situation or problem in your life.
He concludes by noting that love is the creative force of all life and notes that love is all that matters.
The book is very repetitive, but as Marc Allen notes, it is repetition that causes great truths to sink in. While he doesn't really cover new ground in this little book, it is a very good reminder of what really matters in life.
It's a really inspiring and a nice book to read. It's short and straight forward to the point. But after all, the greatest secret lies in you and only yourself to discover. And it true, your own beliefs really play a huge part in your life and if what you believe does not happen, perhaps your faiths in your own beliefs are not strong enough. And i really like what he said inside, everyone is a child of god. Lastly i will quote this from the book: " The end of all wisdom is love, love and love."
Pick up a copy of his The Millionaire Course instead. It gives a lot more detail about his method for manifesting our goals. This small book is clearly aimed more at being inspirational.
