"Finding Nemo" is a very heart-pulling book. It tells the story of a child fish who gets taken away by some divers and a fathers dedication to get him back; even if that means swimming in the open ocean, partying with sharks, and being swallowed by a whale.
In this story there a few main characters one of which being Nemo, who is the child fish that gets taken from the reef. He has one gimp fin and it often hinders his ability to swim and keeps his father, Marlin, worried all the time. Marlin lost his wife (if you can call it that in a fish relationship) early on in the book, shortly after laying their eggs. Dory is a huge part of the story who often points out various life lessons such as pushing through life with her, "just keep swimming" lines. A few other minor characters are the Dentist who took Nemo, his neice Darla, the Pelican who is friends with the fish in the Dentist's office, and also all the fish in the Dentist's office who are trying to help Nemo escape.
The whole story takes place in the Indian Ocean and also some parts are in Australia while Nemo is sitting in a dentist's office. This story takes place in the modern time, early 2000's, and the fish seem to enjoy being in the ocean since I don't think they'd last very long on land.
The theme of this story is perseverance; being able to push through any obstacle to get what you want. If Marlin had given up on his search during the many obstacles he had, he would have never found his son and Nemo would have most likely died by the hands of Darla. I really find this story to be a heart-pulling one and very motivational.
I would recommend this story to anyone that has seen the movie and also anyone who enjoys a tale that involves perseverance and a father's undying love for his son. As I previously mentioned this story is a very motivational story and also would recommend it to anyone looking for a little bit of mushy motivation.
We all know the movie Finding Nemo, but the book is very special too. The illustrations are to die for! The book is great for early childhood students and they will enjoy reading every page. He book is about a clownfish name Nemo who gets lost by his curiosity. The journey is about his dad trying to find him as he meets many friends along the way like Dory. The book is also good for teaching students to allows obey their parents. The book is humorous and my students always laugh when I read it to them.
An apprehensive clownfish who sets out on a perilous journey through the vastness of the ocean in order to rescue his only son. And on the way there are so many teachings that can be firm principles of anybody's life.
Finding Nemo made into a book by the Walt Disney Company is a book all about the relationship between a father and son fish. Marlin is a very protective father of Nemo after he loses his wife to a shark attack. Ever since this tragic event, Marlin cannot let Nemo go into the ocean without serious supervision. One day, Marlin is old enough for school which makes Marlin very nervous. During this day of adventure, Nemo gets captured by a scuba diver. The rest of the book is about how Marlin searches for his son, with the help of his new friend Dori. I thought this book was very well written, with very realistic illustrations. This is a book about how important it so for someone to experience life in order to really grow. The heart change of Marlin from being very scared and overbearing, to being trusting and secure was very beautiful. Overall, the tone and format of this book really caught my attention, and would love to share this book in my future classroom.
Finding Nemo is a good story for a younger crowd, but can be enjoyed by any age of students. It is about a fish named Nemo who is taken away from the ocean by some scuba divers. He ends up in a tank of fish in a dentist office. Nemos dad spends his time looking for Nemo. He searches the ocean blue and does not give up. Along the way he finds another fish, Dory, who helps him find his son. Dory is a little different, but she is good company. There are so many obstacles that come into his way when looking for Nemo, but he does not give up. This is the main point for students to take away from this story. At the end, Nemo ends up getting back to his dad and then go back home. Using this book in the class would be good when learning about family, or even just fish. You could have the students color a made up fish and then share it with the class.

In this shortened version of the Disney and Pixar film, a young fish, Nemo, is separated from his father, Marlin. Marlin goes on a search throughout the Great Barrier Reef in order to find his son and bring him safely home. Along the way, Marlin meets friends like Dori, Squirt, and Nemo finds new friends in the companions of his fish tank at an Australian dentist's office.
BEST MOVIE/BOOK EVER. Just remember kids.. just keep swimming just keep swimming what do you do ah aaawww.. Plus, i don't need to eat oh oh i don't need to eat because i'm on a diet! Nolan, we used to sing this in class. If you haven't read or watched the movie, you are a deprived child! Watch it
I absolutely love this book because it is such a classic based of the Pixar movie "Finding Nemo." The book was translated into Spanish and is a great way for students to practice reading Spanish more proficiently. It is a smaller book that young Spanish learners will be able to handle fine.
This book tells the story of a fish family that lost the child fish. It could be used in the classroom as an easy read to help struggling or learning readers become better readers. I chose this book because it can be used in multiple ways and can be a gun read for the students.
The book Nemo is a good book because it gives their readers fere when nemo gets lost and then when they find nemo you feel good that it was a happy ending.
The popular story of Nemo and his father's journey to find him is re-imagined in this cute and engaging book. Andrew Stanton hooks his readers through the dire quest taken by Nemo's father to find his only son, Nemo. Readers of all ages can enjoy the themes of family unity and the lengths that family will go for one another. Children will be particularly drawn to the bright and colorful pictures found throughout the book. The bright, beautiful fish of the Great Barrier Reef are shown in all of their brilliant detail in Finding Nemo. There is no lack of colorful detail, all of which draws the reader further into the story. Nemo's journey away from home and determination to return is a theme that young readers will enjoy and relate to. The theme of home is apparent for young readers as they too can surely think of a time they missed home. Knowing your family is always out there for you is a comforting message that all readers can take away from Finding Nemo.
This has got to be the best Disney movie ever. The struggle of Marlin to find his lost son Nemo is an adventurous story that includes meeting sharks turtles, jellyfish, and many other dangerous sea creatures but that did not stop Marlin because finding Nemo was far more important. I recommend this book to anyone who still likes Disney movies or books. :)
I really liked the book Finding Nemo becuase it was my favorite when i was a little girl i would read this book every single night before i would go to bed!!!!! love it !!!!
