Great book by Reid that puts into perspective a fact many of us don't realize - we're all entrepreneurs. We're each building the most important "startup" - our own life. Just as a startup seeks to grow and be profitable and do good for the world and all that Jazz, we as individuals are seeking to build a life that (hopefully) is profitable (unless you want to be homeless), positive, impactful, and meaningful.
The Startup of You takes you on a journey from our earliest ancestors to today and helps frame this interesting and truthful perspective. Nothing 'earth-shattering', but if you didn't think in this manner before, you'll change your perspective on a number of things in your life.
The connection of personal development to building startups is kind of loose here. True, a person should have a competitive advanrage, an assessment of risk and a powerful network. But these are more like common characteristics rather than something unique to startups. Thinking yourself as a startup is overrated.

The startup of you is a guide for new hustlers. The book focused so much on the process of building team and stakeholders, product and company, sales and profit!
the author shared his story of starting LinkedIn and how he got the inspiration from the previous job experience.
i enjoyed reading it, i recommend it to new hustlers!
I skimmed this in one day, to see if it would be useful for class. I am not ready to replace my current textbook, Designing your life, but this also seems like a good resource. At the start, I did not like the feel, because it did not feel applicable to all (too entrepreneurship focused even as it said it was not). But I really liked some of the points about networking, and the actions at the end of each chapter.
