Torn between 3.5 & 4 stars think more 3.5

Ok this is a good book (a bit long) but really good esp for a first book. Has all the right elements, enemies to friends to lovers w/ a second act break up. Theres a lot of good characters & great development throughout.

Ok the set up was great, first meet & then the beginning of their actual relationship. The contrast of rich & not rich. Lots of dynamics and complicated family relations that give the book a bit more drama. Some really good spicy scenes, like WOW. Only thing is that it felt super long by the last 100 pages I was ready for it to be over & we still had the whole reveal left.

I did enjoy the other povs. I do kinda wish we got the first meet from his pov right after like, his friends dragging him away and him thinking about her. But that’s just me.

I feel like there’s just a lot of books that are very similar but that doesn’t make it bad. A lot of them have this sort of “formula” to make it a good book & it’s giving the readers what they want. More of just a criticism of new books in general

such a fun read!! i love a slow burn AND enemies to lovers, and with the extra spice, so this was a special treat. every time i thought i knew how it was going to end, it changed and surprised me. can’t wait for the next one, absolutely DYING to know what happens next. the characters are so layered and rich, i feel like i know them (and i need them because they are all so hot)

I really enjoyed the book and all of the characters within. I do think that there are some party’s the could have been fleshed out a bit more and there are definitely some story lines that seem a bit unfinished. I’m guessing it leaves open the possibility of another book. My rating was really a 4.5/5 until the epilogue which just seemed super rushed and unnecessary.

I’m really really sorry I DNF this book…. I wanted to I really hope I can come back later and read it but I just couldn’t. I was trying to push through but I just couldn’t get into the book and it honestly put me in a reading slump. Hopefully I can come back one day and read it and give this a better review but for now I just couldn’t do it. Sorry.

The book was good don’t get me wrong but there were parts that just seemed out of place and didn’t exactly need to be in the story. Especially the gang part, that came out of left field. Now I can understand how it pertains to the plot later on but it should have been established earlier in the book.

Either way it was a very good book.

So many plot twists kept me up all night just trying to get to the end. Good book. The first half of the book I was confused due to the fact I kept thinking it was supposed to be set in the 70’s. But once I let go of that I enjoyed it very much
