A serial killer has been terrorizing the Greater Toronto Area for eighteen months when a geneticist, (Matt NORSTRUM) temporarily takes over the investigation because of a break through in genetic technology. He attempts to impress a skeptical homicide detective (Taggart SAVANNA) by testing a hair sample the doctor removed from the detectives clothing, The hair was from his girlfriend (Gina RICHARDSON) who Taggart was about to propose to. Doctor NOSTRUM is able to accurately describe her to Taggart, including that the sample has genetic indicators for Multiple Sclerosis. Taggart's partner (Mark GRANT) pressures him to break off his relationship with Gina. Detective Taggart continues to hunt a serial killer lurking under his nose while navigating his relationship with his girlfriend. As the investigation closes in, the killer lashes out at his hunters with deadly and personal consequences..
I have read most of Patrick Lee’s novels, however this one was very disappointing. A very poor ending, not what I had hoped for. Also the book was full of grammatical errors, virtually on every third page which became very annoying.
