Only the fearless ride for the Express. After growing up as an orphan, Josiah English wants nothing more than to own his own ranch and raise Arabian horses. Riding for the Pony Express seems like the ticket to his dream. And when he meets the stationmaster’s beautiful sister, it seems he may be within reach of the happy life he craves.
Mara Reid is thrilled to finally meet the man she’s prayed for, and the fact that they both want to raise horses in the Sweetwater River valley seems like confirmation straight from God.
But when the Express shuts down and Mara's family home is in peril, the danger looming over her life may not be half as destructive as that threatening her heart.

I really enjoy Misty M Beller's books, but this one wasn't a favorite. The first half seemed to drag on a little bit. I really enjoyed the last 1/3 and wished that section would have been longer, with a shortened "before" (you'll understand when you read it). I felt like I still had a lot of questions at the end that could have been answered if the focus was placed on the latter part of the novel.
This book introduced s its evaders to the actual way of life from the types of men to the adventures they incurred on their journey. Also as the story unfolded it showed the unrelenting struggles and adventures of the settlers along the pony express routes. Showing romance and morals that the early settlers often encountered. Please eat and enjoy as I have.
