i couldn’t recommend this audiobook and this series more, no matter what level you are. it’s definitely useful to use alongside your japanese study, as it provides insight into more natural and friendly japanese conversation (formal, still, but not too formal) than you learn when studying from those CDs that come with the scary textbooks.

The lessons were pretty entertaining. I will admit that the voice actor selection is amazing. Standouts are the 100 yen shop keeper, who is super over dramatic but funny. I also like Shu, an empty shell of a man who keeps his cool despite being constantly rejected by women.
