The people of Hataka Village are on edge. Strange things are happening in the forest, and it's making even the friendliest of creatures act out in surprising—and dangerous—ways! Determined to get to the bottom of things, Ivy and her friends head into the forest to investigate. Encountering the tragedy within, they determine a summoning circle is putting a spell on humans and animals alike. While Sol and Sora do their best to break the spells, Ivy searches for the summoning circle and the truth about what happened at Hataka Village.
3.5 Stars I was not a fan of the plot of this book but I still liked the characters so I kept reading. There is always trouble following our MC, I wonder if outside forces are leading her to them.
3.5 stars, to be more correct. I quite like the plot, but I think there is too much going on to cram into 1 book. It's not bad, but I think the information about royalty and summoning circles felt much like an info dump.
I also do question if it makes sense to call them summoning circles vs. simply going with magic circles.

Very plot heavy for the series, which also comes with a lot of speculation and talking. Personally I enjoyed it, but it really leaves me wondering what is going on. It feels a bit convoluted to me and I would have appreciated a bit more slice-of-life stuff that is part of earlier volumes. Still, a good read and really curious what direction it is going to take...
The Weakest Tamer series has been a soothing cute story, but now the true adventure has begun! This volume we got to learn a bit more about the world and a little more about little Sol. I xan't wait for vol 10!
Ivy and Druid continue to help the Guild master and the Captain of the Watchman to save their village! Who is behind this? And why are they doing this?
If you liked the other 8 volumes, there’s no reason you wouldn’t be equally pleased with this one. It seems better edited, or perhaps they got a more experienced translator. I do have some criticisms but, well, that stuff probably belongs in a forum somewhere.
