The year is 1982 and Tyler Chambers finds that his luck has run out…almost. After several brushes with the law, he avoids jail by enlisting in the Navy and gets himself stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Such is his good fortune. Tyler is ecstatic when he lands a date with Holly, the best looking girl on the base, but things sour quickly when he discovers how controlling and annoying she is. As he is about to dump her, a revelation from his past comes back to haunt him, and Holly is the only person who can save his Navy career and keep him out of prison. But what does she want in return? He should be grateful, but is besotted with another girl. Debbie Meyers is sexually confused and has her own ideas for Tyler. She beds him easily enough, and uses him in a vendetta against Holly. Tyler finds himself in a TROUBLE TRIANGLE when both women want him for their own needs. A story of lust, love and blackmail. But who's doing what to whom?
If you are looking for hot alpha males with no fear of anything, a virgin love interest, and a few billion in the bank; may I suggest the next aisle over where you’ll also find the blindfolded bodice-rippers.
If you are looking for an author who writes safe and tip toes around sensitive issues, perhaps you should look in the “I keep a tight rein on my characters and never let them speak their mind without censorship” section.
If, like I, you subscribe to the Truman Capote philosophy “You can’t blame a writer for what the characters say,” then I have some great fiction for you.
Hi, I'm Travis. I am a beach read writer and in-print entertainer. That means I write fun books. The topics and content may be highly charged with what may be considered politically incorrect these days, but what fun is life if we can't laugh.
Here are some of my favorite lines from reviews I have received. (And they are not all 5-star “I'm the greatest writer ever.”)
* Travis Casey is a writer who takes chances. In this political satire, he hits on controversial topics. I laughed and shook my head as political correctness took a giant leap out the window. – The Mayor’s Race
* When first reading this book, I absolutely loathed it, until I realized that it was really the character, Mr. Hightower, that I hated rather than the book. To make someone hate a character as much as I despised this one is a rare talent. He is a misogynistic narcissist with a knack for gaslighting that cheats on his wife with a former student and still looks down upon others for drinking any sort of alcohol, having a job in the sex industry, and swearing of any sort. –No Halo Required
* This book will make you chuckle at the characters' antics while simultaneously wanting to scream with aggravation when they do something particularly foolish. The ratio of romance to adventure skews in favor of adventure, and it makes for an exciting story with just enough flirting to be fun. With its clever conversations, strong plot, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, this book is worth reading! – Southern Harm
* What makes a man fall completely head over heels in love? Well, we get to see why in this amazing book told in a male's POV. This book was beautifully written with a strong voice, a great blend of love and drama. The dialog was witty and hilarious, the characters fascinating and funny. – Forbidden Trouble
* Wow, reading this book was a hilarious, thrilling voyage! The witty, raw humor in this book draws you in right away and doesn't fail to keep you entertained for the whole ride. There was more than one time I found myself laughing out loud – Oceans of Trouble
* I am speechless about the book. Too many themes running at the same time -deceit, guilt, lust, infatuation, backstabbing, etc, etc. – Trouble Triangle

This really is quite an engaging storyline, and I found myself strangely drawn to Tyler, mainly because he's such an arse. The characters are cleverly drawn and there's an alluring appeal to the main three protagonists, although I have to admit to finding Holly the hardest to like, which I suspect is a clever device employed by Travis Casey.
I applauded Tyler's efforts to get his life in order, admired his `no scruples' attitude to life, marvelled at his ability to juggle relationships and loved his mixed up view of his women. Are they sluts, tramps, harlots or are they pure Madonna? Either way, I found myself wondering if this story is more autobiographical that the author cares to admit.
I loved Holly's dad, who is totally nuts, but if you're wealthy you can be forgiven for being nuts, right? He added comedy at just the right moment.
An easy-to-read, captivating book. I highly recommend it, and will be looking for more from this talented author
It’s not often that a novel touted a romantic comedy makes you think. Travis Casey’s “Triangle Trouble” does just that. At every corner I wondered, what the heck could happen next? Is this really happening? This book, based in 1982, is an amazing look into our history. It made me feel like I was on an anthropological mission. I learnered a lot about the male (military) psyche in the early 80’s. Such an incredibly fun and thought provoking read.
Hilarious! I absolutely love Trouble Triangle! If you like your humor a bit off color, prepare to laugh.
Tyler Chambers thinks he has it made, living the sailor life and a dream most men would love--two of the hottest girls on base want relationships with him. When things turn ugly, Tyler will have a hard time talking himself out of some sticky situations.
I don't want to give the plot away, but I really enjoyed this one. In the beginning, Tyler is a character you have to struggle to love; kind of a bad boy with a chip on his shoulder. However, he is very funny and stole my heart by the end. I enjoyed watching his growth throughout the book. The cast of characters is great, all feeding off each other with some very funny scenes (I love Mark). The further into the book you get, the funnier things are!
Though this is an easy read that keeps the laughs coming throughout, the author did a good job of loading in some unexpected twists. I can't wait for the sequel!
I would categorize this book as adult only. Be prepared for strong language and sexual situations (they're sailors, after all). If you are looking for a light read with a splash of romance that will keep you laughing, give this a try! It's on my automatic re-read pile!
First of all I have to say I didn't realize this was the final book in a trilogy until I saw the other reviews here! I had no trouble getting into the book and never felt lost - so even if you haven't read the others, you will still enjoy this bad-boy with a heart love story. I also have to say that this is only the second time I have read a male-written, male-only point of view romance, and I'm glad Travis Casey has written more.
So if you like forbidden romance and uniforms, this book is for you (and come on, who doesn't like forbidden romance AND uniforms?). The main character, Tyler, acts first and thinks after which often gets him into all kinds of trouble. But underneath his sometimes gruff exterior, he is a good guy who wants to do the right thing - even if he might not want to admit it. He's a bit of a rascal, but never a jerk, and I found myself cheering him on and wanting him to get it all right.
Forbidden Trouble is a fun world with multiple twists and turns that leaves you wanting more - and now I can go read the first two books!
"Trouble Triangle" is a quick, fun, and romantic read! It is by no means an especially complicated book, but it isn't trying to be. Rather, "Trouble Triangle" is a book that's written in simple, but compelling language, that explores unique, and slightly silly, romantic moments and situations. Due to these qualities, it is never anything less than compelling, and never fails to entertain!
If you want a fun and enjoyable romantic comedy that won't take you too long to read, and certainly won't bore you, then you'll enjoy "Trouble Triangle"!
This is a story that is an interesting read for a love triangle. It's more about how certain cruel women can take advantage of a decent guy and using him for their own gains. I would recommend it for anyone interested in dramatic love stories.
This was an entertaining read. A lot of highs and lows, humor and drama. I enjoyed the authors style of story telling and all of the adventures Tyler went on throughout this story. Looking forward to the next book in the trilogy.
I don’t normally read anything with romance in it since it’s just too fake but I gave this one a try since it sounded like it had some humor. It passes the time if that what your looking f
I bought this book to take away with me on a week long holiday. I could have taken it for a weekend break as I couldn't put it down and finished it in two days. This is a very light, easy read that doesn't take itself too seriously. I kept bursting out laughing at Tyler and his antics. Him taking a urinalysis in front of a Master Chief nearly had me wetting myself as he tried to pee with this guy staring at his willy.
Tyler is a fresh lively character who kept me guessing throughout the book as to what he might do next. It was great to read about a guy who had real feelings and emotions (and faults) and not about some stereotypical Alpha male knucklehead.
More than just funny, there is a story of love, lust and blackmail, just like it says on the cover. I loved Tyler's sidekick, Mark. When ever Tyler had serious problems, he talked it over with his friend Mark who had me laughing every time he appeared.
I hated Holly to begin with, but she grew on me as she did Tyler. And her father, Reverend Knight, had me in awe. He was larger than life and brought more laugh out loud moments.
If you want a fun, easy read, not to mention naughty, you won't be disappointed in Trouble Triangle.
As a former sailor I was turned off by some of the terminology that was used such as payroll instead of disbursing and dorm room instead of barracks. Unfortunately, the plot in this book is a series of sexual escapades and little else. I really wanted to enjoy this book but found I had to struggle to finish it because I felt it focused on a self-centered jerk and his sexcapades and alcoholism.
I loved this book. It was so funny and I fell in love with Tyler. He tried to be a bad ass but always fell short. But he had the two girls n the go and watching him juggling them kept me giggling all the way through. I loved the twists, and Holly's dad was a riot. A great fun read.
