I can totally see "Raining Robots" as an animated movie or, even better, a series.
So imaginative! And to think that Jordan Hines came up with this idea on his own, and his grandmother, Jerri Hines, whose books I love, helped him piece it together.
The world building was spot on; I could visualize the alternate dimension he created. The characters were so life-like I could picture them and feel for them, which is a major key ingredient for me enjoying a story.
I loved the fact that the boy's family wasn't perfect--like most families--but Ben had good friends and his D.O.G., who helped him save the world.
I will definitely read the next one, and I highly recommend that parents or grandparents purchase this story for their middle-schoolers. I work at a K-8 school, so I'm going to add it to our library.
