Microsoft ax 2012 Services

When I received the book, I start reading. I was happy about the content about:

• How does AIF & WCF work inside AX and how to use it the right way?
• Running in batch or direct mode should be explained.

The writers of this book succeed on that point but don’t overkill the reader with to match optional information.

Small technical details are still missing. But those are documented by MS on TechNet:
• Change key tracings also need adaption on SQL level.
• How to decide to create query based services or custom services. Both have advantage and disadvantage
• Triggering outbound services from x++ code

But still it is a book that should be part of your library

I have spent enough time to read this book completely and i would like to give my rating of 4.5 out of 5 as all basics concepts has been covered in details step by step with proper example.Language used is clear and understandable .This book is great specially for Integration and will definitely help developers in using and learning AIF services framework .My only concern is that more screenshots from the application should be used at some integration part so as to make more clear .

Great book if you want to get an overview of various services-related topics for AX 2012. I already knew some of this stuff, but I learned a lot from reading this.
