I have two goals this season: 1. Stop enough pucks to get the Seattle Serpents to the playoffs. 2. Don’t fall for my fake fiancée.
When Lilah Maddison’s mother keeps trying to set her up on dates she’s not interested in, she blurts out that she’s already seeing someone. The problem? She’s single.
So, I step in to help and agree to pretend to be her boyfriend for an event. But when things go awry, we’re no longer just dating—we’re engaged. Now, I have to find a way to keep her family off her back and our team in a playoff spot, all without falling in love with Lilah, which seems more impossible with each passing day.
She’s funny, driven, drop-dead gorgeous, and not afraid to make the first move. I know we’re playing a dangerous game, yet I can’t stop myself from having feelings I definitely shouldn’t be having, especially not for my fake fiancée.
It’s my job to block, make saves, and keep the puck out of my own net, but this might be one match I can’t win…and I might not want to.
EMPTY NET is a standalone hockey romance novel. There's a cinnamon roll goalie (who is a very good boy)who is fake engaged to a headstrong heroine, found family vibes, slightly unhinged group chats with teammates, plenty of steam, and a happy ending.
TEAGAN HUNTER writes steamy romantic comedies with lots of sarcasm and a side of heart. She loves pizza, hockey, and romance novels, though not in that order. When not writing, you can find her watching entirely too many hours of Supernatural, One Tree Hill, or New Girl. She’s mildly obsessed with Halloween and prefers cooler weather. She married her high school sweetheart, and they currently live in the PNW.
I always have so much fun reading Teagan Hunter's books. I especially love when she writes hockey. Fox was the best hero of this series IMO. And I loved him with Lilah. As a whole, this book was great! I'm excited to read more of the Serpents stories.
What to Expect: Fake Engagement Friends-to-Lovers “Good boy” Opposites Attract Cinnamon Roll Hero Found Family Hockey Goalie He calls her “Sugar” He’ll do anything for her
AINT NO HOCKEY BOOK LIKE A TEAGAN HUNTER HOCKEY BOOK 🤭
i have been waaaaiting to get my hands on foxes book since we first met him early in the series, there was just something about the sweet southern boy thing that had me going crazy for him from the start
i think that this was the most fun fake dating/engaged book ive read in a long time, they are chaotic and silly from the get go and it was everything to watch fox & lilah slowly & subtly fall in love with each other through out reading 🥹
the way these two just get each other had me swooning left and right, they showed their love in quiet & loud ways, always had one another’s back they were quite hot if i do say so myself 😙🧎♀️
some of my fav things to expect: - “sugar” - “good boy” - found family - goalie stretches - opposites attract - friends to lovers
I absolutely love the Seattle serpents series and this one was a great addition!
Fox is a southern boy who loves his mama! He’s a member of his Seattle hockey team’s single group chat. When Lilah needs a fake boyfriend to get her parents to stop setting her up, Fox steps in!
Their fake dating soon turns to a fake engagement. When feelings turn real, these two have to decide if they’re going to settle down together!
I loved Arthur Fox and his whole family! Poor Lilah grew up with the worst parents and they treated her awful! I’m so glad she learned she is worthy of love. The serpent chat was constantly making me laugh, as always! The spice was great and Fox definitely was a “good boy” 😉
I just love the Single Serpents. There, I said it. A group of guys filled with so many personalities... who rag on each other constantly but always have each other's backs? I wish this kind of friendship for everyone!
Our FMC is Lilah. She's hardworking, talented, and smart, and everyone knows it except for her family. She's the backbone of her best friends success, but they don't see that. But right now? She's kinda lost since she doesn't have a job.
Our MMC is Fox. I can't tell you how much I loved him. There is just something about having a sweet guy as the main guy. He was caring and supportive (not just to Liliah but to the guys in the text group!), such a cinnamon roll.
Fox really went to bat for Lilah. He helped her save face but also was the person she needed during this crossroads. He gave her the strength to make the right choices for herself and her future.
Ugh, of course it's funny too! These guys, while supporting each other, really give each other hell while doing it. Hilarious at times.
Can't wait to read the next book. Because some of the guys really need to fall in love.
✨ Hockey Romance ✨ Fake Engagement ✨ Cinnamon Roll Goalie ✨ Friends with Benefits
A hockey goalie with a praisekink. SAY LESS. Instant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
If you told me an MMC named Arthur was going to make my favorites list, I wouldn't have believed you, but then I met Arthur Fox and fell in love with him. In fact he is my favorite Teagan MMC.
Look. I have a type ok, and that man is exactly it. Give me the nice guy gooey on the inside ones every time. This man collects turtle figurines for crying out loud, instant green flag.
And Lilah, lord I loved her and I identified with her so much. Look relationships with parents are hard sometimes, and in Ilah’s case they were so hard she needed a fake fiancée. Enter Fox.
And these two, watching them be exactly what each other needed was so satisfying and the spice between them was electric. Hello book boyfriend with a praise kink that lets her take control... done. Finished. RIP ME 🥵🥵
I love them. I love this team and I cannot wait for more.
Also, Lucas Lawson will never change and I never want him to.
I love a goalie but I love an unsuspecting hero who is so much more than the "good boy" people think he is. Fox is everything.
Lilah is also such a fun read as someone who is figuring out how to stand up to her family and their expectations while also accepting she is worthy of love.
Continuing this series with another great book, this being the 4th one in this interconnected series. It can also be read as a standalone too. Thank you so much Teagan and Valentine Pr for this early e-copy!
Arthur Fox and Lilah Jane are the main characters of this book. They felt some sort of connection from just a couple of glances, before they properly known each other. They had multiple friends in common, so they spinned around into the same circles. A phone call from Lilah's mom will change their relationship into a fake one, because Lilah was constantly pressured by her to marry and pushed her to date people she suggested. That was a pressure Lilah felt deeply and was affected by it, that's why handsome, hockey player Arthur Fox stepped in and helped Lilah with her crazy, demanding parents.
Ok, I just need to say that Arthur Fox was such a golden retriever, that kind of good boy who will do anything for the ones he loves. I kind of adored him for his personality and the way he treated Lilah, with so much care and compassion even from the start. Even though he was struggling with some issues but that fake relationship will definitely help them both. But things will get out of control, transforming into something they had no plans for.
Lilah was a super smart, independent woman, but having Arthur in her corner will only make her even stronger. That was enough to be able to stand for herself in front of her parents and fight for what she wants from her life.
The whole hockey gang and their girls were soooo much fun!! I just loooved their interactions and the way they were always making fun of each other or how they supported one another. This friendship for sure transformed into a big family, which was so adorable.
Just give me sports romance books and I'll devour them! Did that with this story, being pretty impossible for me not to fall in the webs of this book! The banter, the jockes, the romance parts made me fall for this story and characters.🩵
“Look, I don’t have all the answers right now, all right? But I do know this is saving from a lot of torment. In the meantime, and, to me, that’s worth it. We can figure everything else out later. I mean, the worst that happens as we spend time together and keep you from being married off to some creep.”
“ I don’t know. I guess it all just doesn’t seem like that big of a deal to me. A party here, a lunch there. It’s whatever. I’m still getting to spend time with you, so it’s nothing.”
“The best u played all night was during overtime after I saw Lilah in the stands.”
“I think you want it to be a bad idea because if it’s not, you might have to admit you’re not always a gentleman, admit you want this and you want to do dirty, dirty things to me…use me.”
Fox and Lilah’s story was a fun one! Fox is a true southern gentleman but a freak in the bed! He’s the perfect yung to Lilah’s yang, showing her to believe in herself and to stand up to her parents. What started out as a fake relationship to get her parents off Lilah’s back morphs into something more. And Fox is the perfect person to be by Lilah’s side while she works through all her feelings and realizing what she wants with Fox. He’s patient, and loving, never giving up. He is her bigger cheerleader and support system. This book was so fun, steamy and heart warming!
Tropes: Fake Dating Friends To Lovers Found Family Hockey Romance Good Boy
It’s official…Arthur Fox is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE Teagan Hunter MMC…I never thought I would fall for the sweet golden retriever with the filthy mouth, but this southern boy had me SPRINTING to him and all of his green flags !
This is the 4th book in the series, but they call all be read separately and it’s definitely my favourite so far!
Lilah…our beautiful inside and out , FMC…she needs the biggest hug ever. She’s carrying the weight of feeling unseen and under appreciated by everyone…ESPECIALLY her family. They are intentionally blind to all the good and hard work she does for everyone.
Fox enters her life when she needs him the most, but she won’t admit it. Her mother is pressuring her to settle down and marry. Expectations of her to be a housewife and pumping out kids like a factory are all the expectations they have for her and Lilah would rather set herself on fire than be subjected to some stranger marriage with a creep that her mom has lined up. But…sweet Lilah lacks the confidence to truly stand up for herself. But that’s where Fox comes in. Acting as her fake boyfriend to take the heat off of her and give her some breathing room to figure out her life.
But Fox is too much of a southern gentleman to allow things to just stay as is. Might as well take his FAKE girlfriend on a REAL date to get to know her. Makes sense right ? 🤭
Lilah never stood a chance once Fox entered her life. He saw the beautiful soul she was, inside and out and realise she was everything he was missing in his life and there was no stopping this man from making her his.
When the heat turned up with Lilahs mom and family, their fake dating turns to fake engagement and feelings get VERY REAL for both of them. They help each other navigate those feelings of self doubt they both struggle with and Fox helps Lilah stand up for herself and realise she’s worth happiness on her own terms no matter what her family says.
Now…Fox may be a southern gentleman but in the bedroom he is ALL SIN! And so is Lilah! This woman TOOK CONTROL of Fox and he ATE IT UP! His nickname “Good Boy” took on a new meaning in the bedroom and I have never blushed SO MUCH! It’s the season for men pining and yearning for their women on their KNEES! I’m OBSESSED!
We also get so much fun from the team group chats! Seriously…the Single Serpents are so funny and unhinged 😂 I need to be part of this GC IMMEDIATELY!
Absolutely LOVED this book! Go meet Fox! You won’t be disappointed 😉

ALL stars for FOX!! He was so precious and sweet and such a perfect gentleman. Literally just the perfect book boyfriend. SO nice and such a cinnamon roll. So devoted and loyal and ugh, I cannot say enough good things about him, lol.
This is book four in Teagans hockey series. This can be read as a stand-alone. I read the other three books so long ago, I really didn't remember anything about either Fox or Lilah from the previous books, which was no problem at all going into this.
This was a fun/sweet fake dating/fake engaged book. As usual, I love the hockey crew. Their text chats are my favorite. I love the found family. And I really, really loved Fox and his family. His mama was so awesome.
I honestly didn't feel much chemistry between the MCs here. The romance was ok and kind of underwhelming. It felt like they were just thrown together. I feel like Fox would have helped any girl in Lilahs position, not necessarily because it was her, but because he is so nice and was lonely, and so he fell for her. Idk just the vibes I got. I love SO many of Teagans hockey books. This couple just wasn't my favorite.
I really think a lot of people would love this book with how sweet and perfect Fox is. There was also great banter, and the hockey team/found family are all so fun and funny.
Cons: -I fear the "good boy" trope and h taking control is not for me. It made any inkling of chemistry the MCs might have had just completely disappear. Made me less invested in the romance. -His name is Arthur. I'm sorry, Foxy, but I cringed everytime Lilah called him Arthur.
**My two issues above are obviously personal problems, so take it as you will lol.
Overall, 3.5 stars and rounding this one up because I feel bad giving Fox three stars, lol. He's too sweet.
-fake dating turned fake engaged -hockey player x teammates GFs best friend -southern boy -"good boy" (h takes control in the sheets) -cinnamon roll H -both experienced. H has had one night stands/flings and a "fairly serious" gf in the past. h also had one night stands and is known as a serial dater. It's been 6 months for the h, idk about the H but he says its been longer. They originally met a year ago as she is his teammates GFs best friend. They were just acquaintances, though. Then they run into each other at NYE, and H hears h on the phone, and he steps in to be her fake bf -no OPD -both 30 -HEA (epilogue a few months out)
Updated couple rankings: Greer/Stevie Smith/Emilia (VERY close second. But Greer wanting to be Macies dad took the cake lol) Lawson/Rory Rhodes/Ryan Lowell/Hollis Hayes/Quinn Collin/Harper Fox/Lilah Hutch/Auden Fitz/Rosie Miller/Scout
I’m a total fangirl for this author and her hockey series – I love all her goalies! I love her writing; but this story’s Southern gentleman goalie who supports and defends Lilah is my new favorite!
Go ahead and get this book, but to prevent ruining the story, and for a richer understanding of the characters, I strongly advise reading the series in order.
Arthur Fox embodies Southern hospitality; his love for his mama, his family, and the bond he shares with his teammates is evident. I wish I could meet this guy in person. There’s a reason he’s available, but this is ideal for Lilah. Lilah’s dedication and sharp mind have consistently impressed me throughout the series, culminating in remarkable professional successes alongside Auden. Unfortunately, her parents’ disrespect of her compels Fox to pose as her boyfriend and offer support. Because, of course he does! So sweet. Although, keeping up the charade of their fake relationship may prove more difficult for him than he thought. His ardent attention and their sizzling attraction gave her exactly what she craved, and she more than reciprocated. :) Ooh, so good!
Their pairing is adorable; I loved seeing him support and cherish her. The guys’ witty text messages and playful banter were a highlight, and it was fun to see those personalities from past stories come back! Although their journey to a happily ever after had its share of twists and turns, the couple persevered, supported by their team and their supportive friendships.
Make sure to read them in order, but grab this series today... You’re gonna love it!! I was fortunate to receive a complimentary copy of this one (thank you) and happily leave my review. I cannot wait for Locke’s story next!!
This was a good standard hockey rom com. A fun but fairly predictable fake-dating/engagement story.
💕 no third act breakup 🗣️Communication - as with most fake dating stories, they each grow feelings but are scared to admit them. In this case, Fox does admit his feelings to her at the end and sticks around to fight for them when she gets scared. 👫 Both are 30. Arthur Fox (everyone calls him Fox, but he loves it when she calls him Arthur) is a goalie and southern sweetheart. He is gentle and kind to everyone and is close with his family. Lilah Maddison (he calls her ‘Sugar’) is a business woman/designer between jobs and from a very wealthy but cold and controlling family. 🌶️ The spice starts around 50% and continues from there. It was nice that the author didn’t have them fight their attraction for too long and Lilah is the one to initiate and make her feelings known. Fox is hesitant but then gives in. There’s a thing about her telling him that he’s a “good boy” and his enjoying her taking control. It’s v tame and mild. 🫣 no OM/OW drama. He does not seem to be a manwhore/playboy at all; it’s been years since he’s had a girlfriend but not sure how long since he’s been w anyone but longer than 6 months. She’s a self professed serial dater and scared of commitment given her terrible parents. It’s been 6 months for her. 🏡. Foxs family is so sweet in this story. The conversations with his mom; their support of him and Lilah; they help make the story even sweeter. I like that she had Auden has her trusted friend. 👥Dual 1st person POV; HEA. Engagement in second epilogue, little over a yr later.
Lilah and Fox have know each other for about a year as friends of friends. He overhears her arguing with her mother at a NYE party and steps in to tell her mom that he’s her boyfriend and agrees to go to her dad’s birthday party to get her parents off her back. At that party, he’s so annoyed by how terrible her parents are that he tells them that they’re engaged.
The rest of the story is them giving in to their feelings and also trying to figure out how the other feels. They spend lots of time together getting to know each other and they talk a lot about the small moments they enjoy - his love of turtles (and trying to save them as a boy), her reading to him at night, all their little dates, him making her dinner, his making her coffee, her wearing his jersey and supporting him at his games, etc. The problem is this was mostly told to us. We were given lots of descriptive sexy times but not enough of those smaller moments first hand.
I liked both MC’s. Fox is a true sweetie but her hesitance and fear was understandable and thankfully didn’t last v long. She can stand up to anyone but her parents who have always told her she’s not worthy. Near the end, Fox tells her he loves her and she’s says “oh”, not because she doesn’t love him but bc she needs a minute to be brave enough to admit it. His parents advise him to work for it and he does and there’s a classic epic showdown w her parents at a restaurant.
She was a strong smart woman and she wasn’t shy about being upfront about what she wants and they both shared their feelings often. I loved how they each openly supported the other.
I may be alone in this, but all the texts with the other teammates were too long and distracting. I read all of the other books, but so long ago that I honestly don’t really remember their stories, so I didn’t connect w all the player whatnot.
Overall, a standard romance; good characters, good feels. ❤️ A fun mid angst read.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This was a new twist for me and kink I apparently enjoy. THE GOOD BOY kind that is! This was so sweet, I loved loved loved FOX so much! Lilah and I have a lot more in common and it broke my heart for her but also I was screaming at her to not let her parents treat her the way they are. These two were meant to be and I love that they are opposite but wear their heart on the sleeve. They had no chance against each other!
When Fox steps in for Lilah, it is not welcomed happily because the MFC is used to taking care of herself and being her biggest critic all in the same. Fox really is a true hero here. period! From attending parties and lunches for their fake engagement to going on a first date because why not get to know each other to learning more and loving everything about them. I really enjoyed this journey these two took us on. There was a lot of the GROUP CHAT humor [some of my faves i must say] and of course Fox's teammates are truly amazing. I think in the end Lilah helped Fox in a lot of ways.

4.5 stars - Fox and Lilah were adorable! Fox is a Southern gentleman who overhears Lilah's need for a fake boyfriend to keep her insane mother off her back. He volunteers, and from there they quickly go from acquaintances to friends/lovers.
I loved seeing them interact! Fox has always wanted a partner, whereas Lilah had sworn off love after what she experienced growing up. This didn't stop her from being vulnerable with Fox, and this didn't stop him from pushing her to admit that she did indeed love and care for him.
This was a great low angst addition to the Seattle Serpents found family, and I can't wait for the next book!
What to Expect: hockey romance, fake dating/fake engagement, friends to lovers, found family
3 💫 This author wrote my favorite hockey series of all time so she really can’t do anything wrong!!! Love a fake dating/engagement story. Fun silly easy read! As always can’t wait for the next one!
I love this group of hockey players, especially their group chats! Fox will do anything for anyone.. and that lands him fake dating.. ahem, fake engaged, to Lilah. Honestly, he isn't too mad about it. He's not playing his best and he seems to be in a life slump. Having Lilah shake things up a bit might be just what he needs to get out of this rut. Lilah is a take charge woman.. and yes, there are some spicy "good boy" moments, and Fox loves every moment of it. Honestly, so did I... but I digress. These two were inevitable. There was no world in which they don't just fall head over heels for each other because they fit together so perfectly. If you are a fan of the hockey hero falling HARD, like I am, this book is all you could ever want. 4.5 Stars!
Forgot to write my review but “good boy” was used so often, that it started making me nauseous every time it was brought up; like we fucking get it okay!
Trigger Warnings include: emotional abuse by a parent, emotional abandonment
As always, I loved being greeted by the group chat! I already had an inkling that I would love Fox…but him being my favorite of the series so far?! He’s the good boy. The southern gentleman who is humble, sweet, and thoughtful. And entirely too hard on himself! And when Lilah purposely makes him blush for all the times he’s made her blush? Yeah…he’s my favorite of the series. Lilah is dealing with an overbearing, very judgmental mom, and she’s just trying to enjoy being single. Which means being fake engaged to Fox is the perfect fix! But Fox doesn’t stop there. Actually, he stopped at nothing to make Lilah happy. And safe, and protected. Fox never hesitated to remind her how much she mattered. Also…that dirty talking goalie?! Unsafe for the heart!
‘I am a proper woman. So what if I’m single? Just because I don’t want to be alone doesn’t mean I have to get married.’

Thank you so much to Teagan Hunter via Valentine PR for the eARC. These are my honest thoughts.
I'm down bad for Arthur Fox in a way I could never DREAM of being down bad for a mmc. He was everything I needed him to be, and then Lilah made him better.
Book 4 in the Seattle Serpents focuses on goalie, Fox, member of the Single Serpents Club, and mama's boy. He's a southern boy with manners, and he's truly lonely. Enter Lilah. Lilah's been ~around~ since book one, but she's a little lost now that her and Auden's work with Sinclair Properties is finished. She's trying to figure out what comes next, and her mother is the true villain of this story. She wants Lilah to settle down and behave exactly as she dictates. Her mother is particularly belittling, and Fox overhears one particularly mean conversation, and spontaneously introduces himself as Lilah's boyfriend... and it's fantastic from there!
Read if you love: - Fake Dating to Fake Engaged - Professional Hockey Player - Good boy - A strong FMC - "Let me help you" (and that does mean two things in this book *iykyk*) - The CUTEST dates with your fake fiancé - The BEST fake in-laws-to-be (a.k.a. Fox's family) - The Single Serpents Group Chat - Turtles
Favorite quotes: "Then she called me Arthur, and I thought I might die hearing my name on her lips."
"Now, that was a very good boy," she says, and I laugh. But she's right. I am a good boy. Her good boy.
5 stars. Loved every minute. Can't wait for THE NEXT BOOK!!!!!! AHHH!!
Teagan Hunter takes readers back to the Seattle Serpents hockey team with Empty Net.
This book had me cracking up from the very first chapter when we get a team text message conversation. I have loved getting to know all the characters and team members throughout the series, and now we get Fox's story. He and Lilah enter a relationship/engagement of convenience, but very real feelings start to pop up pretty quickly. I especially love dual POV in books like this one as you get to see both of them falling for one another.
Teagan has been one of my favorite authors since I first read her Texting series. Her writing is always fun and engaging with a great mix of humor, romance, and a little bit of drama/angst with interesting and likeable chatacters. This book is one of her best and a new favorite of mine. You can jump in with this book as your first read, but I highly recommend picking up the whole series to get to know characters and the team as you read.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
Thank you Valentine PR for an arc copy of Empty Net. Tropes: - Fame dating/Fake engagement - Found Family - Friends to Lovers - ‘Good Boy’ - Opposites attract - Cinnamon Hero - ‘Sugar’ - He’ll do anything for her
Let me start with saying that I absolutely LOVED this book. Fox was everything I imagined him to be. The ‘good boy’ and well mannered man his friends and teammates make him out to be. It was everything I wanted and needed to read about him. He had me swooning and I loved everything about their book.
The way Lilah and Fox just ‘clicked’ and the chemistry between them.. it was amazing. Their conversations, the funny ad hell ‘singles chat’ and Fox his protectiveness over Lilah, the way he’s do anything for her? Absolutely amazing!
My personal opinion…? This book is the best one out of the four already here. Here I am again, I keep saying this, buut I LOVE that Serpent Singels group chat. I just need more of them.
Im curious to see what Teagan will wrote for our ‘old man’ Locke. But I’m not sure if Fox will be knocked off the #1 spot in her books.
This is book 4 in Seattle serpent series we get to meet Fox the serpent goalie and Lilah best friend to Auden from book 1 body check.
After reading the blurb I knew i would love this book as it has one of my favourite tropes fake relationship/ engagement and the MMC character is swoon worthy his is a big hunky gentleman💓
Lilah character is easy to connect with she has awful parent every chance there get there put her down when Fox hears them belittling her and asking her why she hasn’t got a boyfriend on New years Eve he steps in and pretends to be her boyfriend there journey starts from here and is it a journey Fox and Lilah help each other and the chemistry is so evident not just between the sheet but in day to day tasks.
I can’t let my review go without mentioning the group chat the single serpents have throughout this book it will have you chuckling away.
If you love a hockey, fake relationship then this one is for you
I know I can always count on Teagan to write an entertaining sports romance and this series has fit that bill perfectly.
Empty Net is the fourth book in this series and focuses on Fox and Lilah.
Fox is the epitome of a southern mama's boy and a true gentleman. I loved how he did not hesitate to step up and help out Lilah, even if she did not want his help.
Lilah is very headstrong and likes to get things done on her own. But it's impossible for her to ignore the help she needs (and gets) from Fox.
I always enjoy the text chains (Teagan has that in all these books) and it helps keeps add some jovialness to the story. The story flowed very nicely.
Fox's story was a great addition to the series and I like that none of these players are alike and it keeps the stories fresh and enjoyable.
I enjoy a good hockey series and absolutely loved this book. I can’t wait to read more from this author. I loved the main character Arthur Fox. He is a southern boy who has an amazing family compared to the main character Lilah who’s family is absolutely horrible to her.
This story starts off as a fake dating/engagement scenario. We see how the main characters relationship evolves and how much they do care for each other. Fox shows Lilah that she is worthy of love despite how her parents treat her.
This book made me feel good and I want to read more of Arthur Fox!
Thank you to Valentine PR for providing me with this ARC.
This is the fourth book I this impressive series and this is Lilah and Artie’s story. Lilah’s meddling mother keep trying to set her up for dates, and in desperation she tells her is has a boyfriend. Artie is a hockey goalie for the Seattle Serpents, and he steps in as Lilah’s fake boyfriend, which escalates into a fake engagement. This is a well written easy to read story, with found family, friendships, emotions, fake engagement, opposites attract, friends / lovers, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
