With the powerful Infinite Core now in their possession, Charlie, Kal, and the Zodiac Pack have a chance to turn the tide against the ruthless Sworne. But to harness its devastating power, they must build a machine capable of ripping through the fabric of space itself—an endeavor that will take valuable time they don't have as the Sworne close in. Even with the perfect machine, Charlie isn't prepared for what price she and Kal will have to pay to protect their planet and families.
With a total war on the horizon, can Charlie and Kal find a way to save Kander before it's swallowed whole by Omnis-sar?

Lexa Luthor is an avid writer and reader of the Omegaverse trope especially including F/F pairing. In her books, each main character(s) is a strong-willed female, who navigates difficult situations but always ends up finding love with their mate. Every tale has a twist and is gripping, sexy, and even a bit adventurous.
When not writing, Lexa enjoys binge watching television shows like Game of Thrones, Gentleman Jack, or The L Word. Her other favorite hobbies are playing cornhole, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and laying around the pool in the summer. At times, Lexa finds time to read romances (both dark and fluffy) and great sci-fi books but nothing else can beat a steamy, downright erotic F/F romance with biting, knotting, and slightly possessive love.

CHARACTER IMPRESSIONS: Charlie & Kal/Sumner I thought these two agreed not to do things apart anymore. I thought Kal learned it’s okay to be a little selfish in life. I thought Charlie was going to make good on her promise to get Kalatas to honorably set Kal free so Sumner can live the rest of her days with Charlie and a pup.
Was there a happy ending? Yes. But was it satisfying? Not to me, no.
I’m angry at myself for getting so worked up because at the end of the day, yeah, it’s just a book with fictional characters, but I love to immerse myself in these stories, to root for these people, to see them thrive, overcome their flaws, and find their happiness. Yes, they accomplished all this by the end of the story, but not at the level it needed to be in order to be considered a true resolution in my opinion.
Charlie has always found a third option when faced with a dilemma she didn’t like. Throughout the series, she found a way to improvise if her Plan A didn’t work out. So, I’m baffled she and everyone just went with the one option they had when Kal presented it. It made sense for the story, it made sense for the characters, but I didn’t like it one bit because doesn’t that just mean they let the gods and fate decide how to work things out for them, rather than take things into their own hands like they’ve been doing for the entire series?
MINOR CHARACTERS: I wanted all these wonderful side characters to get the resolution they deserved, yet the story ended a little too quickly for anything fulfilling to be had. The side characters I adored so much just played their parts and didn’t get the chance to act on what they wanted to do after the war. No one had enough page time to make me feel like, “Finally, now they can live their lives without fear of the Sworne.”
STORY IMPRESSIONS: The Celestial Fates must be laughing at how much emotional investment I put into loving these characters, because the story went in a direction I DID NOT want it to go. All the little breadcrumbs and setups throughout the series that I thought was going to take place didn’t get a payoff. I waited, hoping to see the aftermath of the war, to see the characters do what they said they would once the war was over, but was ultimately disappointed.
Yes, yes, there was a happy ending, I can’t stress that enough, but I wasn’t pleased at the amount or placement of it, because it didn’t do enough to heal the stress and heartache the last one hundred pages caused. It was difficult for me to continue reading after the 60% mark, because I kept going, “Wait a minute, I was promised a happy ending, right?” Then at the 80% mark, I thought, “Hold on, this will all work out somehow, right?” Then at the 95% mark, I nearly screamed, “What the fuck is going on? How is there going to be a happy ending?”
And when that ending came in at the 97-100% mark, I wasn’t cheering, even though it was a good ending, because I was too emotional over the turmoil the last act put me through. And despite how good of the ending was, there wasn’t enough to make me feel as if all the time and feelings I spent with these characters throughout ten freaking books was worth it. I’m just mad because it wasn’t enough, because there was no payoff about what was promised throughout the series.
Sure, I can imagine and infer all hopeful outcomes for these characters after the war, but I would have loved to see it on page.
You know what it feels like? It feels like a girlfriend you’ve been dating for years suddenly telling you she can’t do this anymore, and there’s nothing you can do about her leaving. So you spend days or weeks hurt over the breakup, only for her to show up at your door and say, “Just kidding!” So despite having a happy ending, you don’t feel good because her coming back into your life doesn’t erase all the hurt she put you through.
But you know what? Maybe all my heartache over this final installment in the series is pointless, because guess what? This isn’t the true ending of the series. It turns out, there’s going to be one final short story from Kal’s POV called I, Wife, coming out sometime in the next noreds. Maybe then, this is when all the characters get their true resolutions.
I don’t know if I should be happy that this final short story can maybe show the true ending between Charlie and Kal, but I’m also pissed the real ending wasn’t just in the main series at the end of this book, even if it made the book one hundred pages longer. I would rather have a true ending showing the characters in the aftermath of winning the war here rather than wait a couple more noreds to see it, but I hope to Kalatas and the Omega God and whatever sympathetic Celestial Fates there are, that it’s a satisfying ending to the entire series as a whole, otherwise this book is going to leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Maybe I’ll come back in a few nineths to look over this review and realize it’s not that serious, that I was too emotional and the way this book ended was actually fitting. But until then, I’m still hurt about it. I really hope I, Wife is the conclusion I’m looking for, because this one did not do it for me.

when I first started reading this series, I came because of the promise of steamy scenes, fun and adventurous characters with a touch of friction. And certainly, it was all that and I stayed, now I'm leaving (not by my choice) with so much more.
Now about this story, it gave me that weird feel of when you're waiting for the shoe to drop, so I was full of apprehension during most of my read, then 30% passed, 40, 50 and I relaxed a bit. Rookie mistake. Been a while since I sobbed this much because of fictional characters. I was incredulous, even when I read what I read, but deep down I knew it would happen and even the outcome afterwards, but I couldn't help myself but ugly cry at the wee hours of the night when actually witnessing everything.
this book and the whole series was worth every penny of it and more. I hope I can import the paperback soon. Lexa os such an amazing writer, I'm lucky to read whatever she puts out there.
p.s.: even though I really love it, I think the very ending was a bit rushed and some details didn't have the usual touch Lexa usually gives, you know... taking time talking about it, but with the short coming soon, it may solve this feel
Whew! I have absolutely loved this series. Kal, Charlie, Kaden and the pack face down Omnis-sar for the survival of Kander. Through all the trials and tribulations Kal and Charlie have faced, this final battle in the war to save their planet may cost them the most. These characters have all grown so much through the series and it continues throughout book 3 as well. The importance of the supporting cast continues to be a huge anchor for in Kal and Charlie's story and Charlie really needs them now more than ever in this one. If you've been invested in Kander, you won't be disappointed in this one but you will end up in your feels. If you've not found Kal and Charlie and are open to Omegaverse, start with book 1 and binge it, you won't be disappointed!
If you've made it this far then I suspect you won't be reading this review but I will leave it anyway for anyone who needs it. Wow, what an ending. Fast paced, emotional, exciting! A brilliant climax to a truly engaging series. If for some reason you have come here before buying the series. Press the purchase button (just buy all of them to save time) and get to reading. You won't regret it.
Oh my god, I can't believe this amazing series has finally ended!
Holy shit, this finale really took it out of me. I am a bubbling wreck! I tried to drag out reading this last book for as long as possible because I didn't want to have to admit that the series had truly ended, but as soon as Omnis-Sar appeared on the horizon, I was 1000% invested and couldn't stop. A gigantic five stars. Such a brilliant series, with characters that will live on in my heart <3
What an ending to a FANTASTIC series 😭😭😭😭. Kal & Charlie deserve everything. I'm so sad to only have one novella left of their story. I started crying at 59% and pretty much didn't stop for the entire second half of the book. but it was worth it ❤️❤️❤️

I wish this wasn’t the last book in the series, Charlie and Kal have a lot going on that wasn’t fully explored. This has been wonderful and please don’t stop there.
