True to his words, the author kept the book concise with minimal detail and relevant information. Much of the information is very generic like picked up from different study related articles nonetheless it's undoubtedly practical, since it's a book; the given information holds more value in my brain then a random blog/article from the internet, which is forgotten the minute it's read. Definitely recommended to highschool or college students as the book boosts morale and give a wider perspective on how to actually learn. For many of us are taught that learning is important but are never taught how to learn, which is more important factor in one's academic career. Moreover the book also teaches you how to make studies enjoyable rather then thinking of it as a large chunk of rock that we have to breakdown with our bare hands.
I don't mean this book is useless, far from that, it helps alot in educating and motivating, however for someone who has read alot of productivity tips and related content, the book provided information might sound very generic or recycled.

Love the fact that the author has linked relevant websites and blog to learn more about studying strategy, books and other resources so the students are able to explore further and in-depth to accelerate their learning.

It didn't revolutionize the way I study, but it was nevertheless a good book. After all, why did it and the studying techniques in general have to be something sophisticated? (They can be it, but apparently even the simple ones work equally well.) If one reads it with the aptitude of not expecting to find something extraordinary at every paragraph (though there have been, at least for me, a few but not more, basic interesting facts) then I believe it will be possible to gain more from this book and make a good difference on one's own studying efficiency. The difference may not be colossal, but good enough to be worth the effort. (Once again, personal perspective here.)

That being said, I do not exclude the possibility of finding a more detailed, in-depth and interesting book on the same topic, yet this one was not all that bad, and so I do not consider the time needed for reading it wasted.

Fast read for some tips and tricks to get knowledge fast on a topic you want to learn. It’s actually geared towards college students, but can be read by anyone.

Most of the tips in the book are rather obvious, or can be found across other resources online or books. Not a whole lot new information in this book. It is well described though, the structure in the book itself helps to understand the tips and tricks.
