She was always my weakness. Now she’s my only hope.

She was my salvation once—wild magic in her blood, fire in her kiss, and a body I still dream about. I touched heaven with her.

Then dragged us both to hell.

Now she looks at me like I’m the enemy. But I see the way she trembles when I get too close. Feel her power pulse when I say her name.

She hasn’t forgotten.

And I’ll make damn sure she remembers.

An ancient evil is rising beneath Skye—older than our magic, and twice as ruthless.

Only she and I can stop it. We’re bound by fate, fueled by everything we never stopped wanting.

She doesn’t trust me. Doesn’t want to want me.

Too bad. Because I’ll fight for her. Claim her.

Ruin her all over again—if that’s what it takes to keep her safe.

This isn’t just about saving the world. It’s about us.

What I destroyed.

What I’ll never let go again.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Donna Grant returns to the Skye Druids, where destiny awakens, secrets unravel, and a love long denied refuses to fade.

We are back on Skye with the Druids. A fight between the Knights and London Druids.Sabryn can hear and talk to the wind. Sabryn was in a relationship with Kurt in DC and it went wrong. The London Druids wanted to get the Sabryn’s family in with them. They killed her father and her Kurt was gone. Now six years later and he is back but he has a secret. Sabryn doesn’t want to forgive him but now that she is listening to the wind again, it tells her she needs to trust Kurt. The fighting heats up. Lots are injured. Will good win against evil?

It’s so hard for me to review these cause I don’t want to give anything away. Good vs Evil. Steamy. Secrets. Lies. Sabryn is courageous and stunning and Kurt is smart and wants forgiveness.

While I definitely enjoyed reading this story, finally getting to understand Sabryn and Kurt’s past, and seeing them find their way back to an HEA, I have to say there was so much going on around them, with foe after foe popping up, that I didn’t get nearly enough “them” time for my liking. Sabryn has lived through a lot of pain and trauma in the time since Kurt broke her heart, but the more she learns about their past together the more she realizes she never knew. She is definitely a strong and stubborn woman, but when she finally is forced to confront the full truth and see everything from all angles she comes to understand that sometimes forgiveness and love are the greatest weapons against evil we can wield. Kurt has a lot in his past to be ashamed of and atone for, but he had never stopped loving Sabryn and protecting her has always been his goal, even if he has to do it in secret as Saber. Now that he is forced out of hiding he knows that she might push him out of her life and he’ll lose her forever, but he has to take the chance if it means keeping her (and the rest of Skye) safe from the evil chasing him down. His determination and passion fuel his mission and make him a perfect match for Sabryn once they both stop living in the past and accept that the only way forward is by living in the present and accepting their love and happiness together. Its obvious their chemistry has never faded and that their love was always predestined, so seeing them finally accept that and the way it helped them defeat their enemies was impressive. I am looking forward to more in the series, but I continue to hope that we have more relationship building and a little less craziness because I’m going to have to start taking notes on all these enemies otherwise! Donna Grant’s imagination truly terrifies me at times because I can promise you that very few authors have her ability to suck you into stories this way and make you feel right there beside her characters battling enemies terrifying and awe-inspiring all at once.

Book 7 of the Skye Druids

Kurt Barclay has spent the last 6 years hiding from the woman he loves. Disguised as the hacker, Sabertooth, he has protected her and her friends from afar as they battle evil in Skye but his past has caught up to him and he his forced to reveal himself.

Six years ago, Kurt broke Sabryn’s heart but now he’s back bringing up old memories and pain. Sabryn can’t forgive him but she can’t deny they need him.

This is my least favourite installment in the series unfortunately. It’s a bit too chaotic with too many villains and plot lines. They’re fighting Edie, Parker, The Grey Monster, George and her Edinburgh Druids, The London Druids and possibly still Beth. There was too much going on that I found it difficult to follow the plot at any given time.

Sabryn and Kurt did not have a lot of chemistry or a lot of time to actually work through their problems with each other.

Sabryn is an interesting character but Kurt is very boring.

The back and forth of whether or not Sabryn was the Sky Pillar was annoying. She was, she wasn’t, she was, she wasn’t again.

Edie is a pain in the ass and has no real motivation. I was happy to see Luke Ryan finally make an appearance though at first I completely forgot who he even was. I feel like this was a set up for him and Emily to start something.

George’s defeat was very unsatisfying.

It’s starting to feel like there is no progress for the heroes. While they win small battles they don’t actually make any progress with their enemies and it seems it might all come down to Kirsi.

I am looking forward to seeing what is going to happen to Finn and now I’m worried for Eilish.

After Midnight is the seventh book in the Skye Druids series—and it’s finally Sabryn and Saber’s story. For years, Sabryn has had no idea that the Knights’ elusive white-hat hacker, Sabertooth (aka Saber, aka Kurt Barclay), was the same man she once loved and lost. Saber has stayed hidden, working incognito as the Knights’ IT mastermind, because he knew Sabryn would never willingly partner with him again. But when his brother Parker, a London Druid, is sent to drag him back into the fold, Kurt is forced to step out of the shadows—revealing his identity not only to Sabryn, but to the Knights and the Skye Druids as well. What their mother Diana doesn’t anticipate is Parker’s festering jealousy of Kurt, and how quickly the Edinburgh Druids and Edie will exploit it for their own ambitions.

Six years earlier, Kurt and Sabryn’s story began. Sent by the London Druids to Washington, DC, Kurt and Parker were tasked with persuading Sabryn and her father, a U.S. Senator, to ally with them. Her family, with roots in Skye, carried a dormant magical lineage that only manifested in the women. Kurt and Sabryn connected instantly and fell deeply in love. But when her father was killed in a suspicious car accident—an act Kurt suspected the London Druids had orchestrated—he struck a deal with Diana: leave Sabryn alone, and he would disappear from her life. That bargain technically shattered the moment Kurt joined the Knights, and now Diana wants him back with the London Druids.

As Kurt and Sabryn reunite, they must navigate years of heartbreak and betrayal while fending off enemies on all sides: London, Edinburgh, and Edie, who schemes to destroy the Air Pillar. Meanwhile, Georgiana, leader of the Edinburgh Druids, continues her obsession with Elias, blind to the betrayal brewing within her own ranks—where Parker and Edie are forging a dangerous alliance.

Fast-paced and layered with romance, betrayal, redemption, and loss, After Midnight begins with a chase and unfolds into a story of anchors found, loyalties tested, and losses endured. While it can be read as a standalone, you’ll miss key parts of the backstory without the earlier books—especially Book 6 (Blood Skye). I’m already counting the days until Kiss the Skye! Well done Donna Grant!

Every time I think Donna Grant's books can't get more exciting, more shocking, she proves me wrong. I am so happy to have been wrong yet again. Her books give me hours and hours of reading entertainment. When that isn't enough, the audiobooks feed my need for more.

I honestly don't know where to start; After Midnight is that fantastic. The Skye Druids series has continued to increase in intensity with each book. With each book I say I am going to take my time and read it over a couple of days. That did not happen with After Midnight. I took the title to heart and continued to read After Midnight.

The drama is mindblowing. I didn't know what was going to happen next. The suspense was so exciting. The Druids of Skye are not having a good time. For every step forward they seem to fall back two. I just knew someone was going to get stabbed in the back. Someone or someones were going to be betrayed. Trying to figure out what side some of the druids were on was mindboggling.

If you are obsessed with magical battles as much as I am; you have to read After Midnight. When someone they thought was dead reappears all bets are off the table. There are small squirmishes. There are intense situations. Orbs of magic are flying and can't be dodged. Damage intesifies. Cars are flying, glass is shattering and the non-Skye Druids are just getting started. With evil on their side the Knights just might fail if Kurt and Sabryn can't make peace.

She can't forget the past. He can't let go of the guilt. A betrayal is out to crush them both. They are stronger together. Do they have the strength to let go of the past and reach for a second chance?

After Midnight is another gripping addition to Donna Grant’s Skye Druids series, brimming with tension, betrayal, and heart-pounding action. Grant masterfully weaves together the fates of the Knights and Skye Druids as shocking truths come to light. Sabryn’s pain at Kurt’s betrayal cuts deep, especially as his hidden identity as Saber is revealed. When Patrick arrives with his own dark mission, the stakes climb even higher. The supposed trap by the Skye Druids instead becomes Patrick’s snare, leaving Sabryn and Kurt reeling. The shocking return of Edie, thought to be lost, adds another twist, aligning herself with forces determined to destroy them all. Grant’s writing is fast-paced, pulling readers into a world where danger lurks in every shadow. Fans of the series will be eagerly turning pages as the London and Edinburgh druids close in and time runs out for the Knights and Skye Druids.

I knew that once I started reading After Midnight, book #7 in Donna Grant’s Skye Druids series – I would not be able to put it down. And that’s exactly what happened. I read deep into the night, but the bleary eyes and lack of sleep were totally worth it!

Sabryn and Kurt have history that can’t be swept under the rug and forgotten. If the Skye Druids stand a chance at all against the London & Edinburgh Druids, then they no choice but to talk it out and work together.

Evil is still moving in the shadows. There’s no doubt that we are moving towards an inevitable battle but with key players being unmasked as unexpected enemies and/or allies, this reader is eagerly waiting for what comes next.

So much drama in this next installment of the Skye Druids. This one is a hard hitting angsty read with so many surprises.

Sabryn feels like she’s been betrayed.

I was going to say there’s no dredging up the past when it seems to walk beside you at all times.”

Kurt came to Skye to protect the woman he loves but evil is following him. The elusive member of the Knights is finally revealed.

“For eternity. You are my heart. My very soul. I will be by your side for however long you’ll have me.”

I love this series and this one is no exception. I can’t wait for more and that shocking ending just has me wanting it right now.

Did you ever have an author you followed that gets you so wrapped up in their writing that you feel you can’t wait for the next book to drop? Donna Grant is that for me! After Midnight is the latest in the Skye Druid Series. Every previous book has been building towards something really big and this one continues the momentum.

Sabertooth has been the mysterious Knight that everyone knows but no one has never met. The silent hacker hiding in the shadows, always with the necessary information to save the day. But there is a reason why he’s always been in the shadows and we finally get to discover the man behind the keyboard. Will his secrets tear the Knights apart?

I dropped everything as soon as this book hit my reader. Nothing was getting in my way! I must say it was everything I could have wanted and didn’t know I needed. Love, anger, betrayal, friendship, family, loss and so much more! You won’t want to put it down! I know I didn’t!

Danger lurks in the dark but that is where the secrets go to hide. In the fight between good and evil, the Skye Druids and the Knights face almost insurmountable odds, heart-breaking betrayals, and magical battles. Kurt and Sabryn have to work closely together but until they are able resolve their past and move beyond the hurt, the chances of their success are minimal. As always, action packed, full of suspense and drama, and romance.

After following this series from the beginning, this book answers and brings up more questions again. Learning who Kurt was to sabryn was interesting as there wasn’t much said about their past. We learned a lot about Parker and there are now more questions then answers about their past evil on skye. Without giving away any spoilers if you have followed this series then you’re gonna love this book. Kurt and sabryns story is just a teaser in the evil that threatens.

Loved reading the mesmerizing and spellbinding paranormal story. Even though Kurt is exhausted, running on fumes, he has to get to Sabryn before his brother does. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of suspense and captivating characters, and another must read riveting romance story by the phenomenal author, Donna Grant.

Sabryn and Kurt's (aka Saber) story was such a good read! Loved the evolution of the story, why their reconciliation was so important, and the many revelations that were unexpected but explained so much. There is a lot of backstory in this series. While this book picks up where Blood Skye left off, to really get the full immersion of Skye Druids, I recommend reading the entire series.

This is a stormy read. It goes from one crisis to another and keeps your attention. Sabryn and Kurt have a past and it colors this story and brings depth and emotion. Diana ended up being quite a surprise. So many twists with evil coming in all forms. It is a great book.
