Make your choices with faith and confidence We all have to make decisions, big and small, every day. Sometimes those decisions are life-changing, and we can get paralyzed trying to make them. We wonder “What does God want me to do? How can I know?” This book reveals biblical and practical keys that can help readers get direction, find their purpose, follow God's will, and get it right every time. With biblical wisdom and examples of everyday people, this book will help them:
• Learn the scriptural principles behind being led by God’s plan, and how to employ those principles in their lives • Learn practical ways to apply God’s principles for making decisions • Be able to clearly understand the benefits of getting God’s direction for their lives
I am a wife, mom, writer, Jesus-lover and teacher of the Word. I've lived in Oregon, California, Idaho, Oklahoma, and now Minnesota -- apparently, I get around! It's my joy to share life's great experiences and God's faithfulness with you, my readers. I just happen to believe that all things are possible to those who believe, and it's my passion to help you to keep on believing if and when life gets hard. Be sure to drop me a note -- I love to hear from you!
This book is great! I’ve been working on my relationship with God. After reading this book I know I am heading in the right direction. I am being patient, leaving things to God. Everyday I read devotions to strengthen my faith and relationship with God.
I am in a waiting season in my life, i did not know what that even was before this book. I did the devotional you can find in the bible app, which lead me to this book. If your having a tough time hearing, feeling, or just knowing what to do. Read this book.
Karen Jensen Salisbury outlines 10 helpful keys in finding God’s direction is all that you do. At the end of each chapter she summarizes and provides verses to meditate on and declarations which I loved.
There was a lot of emphasis brought in Key #6 on the gift of speaking in tongues and it’s benefits. Practicing to speak in it and also speaking in it more often.
While I understand this is her gift, we all do not have this gifting. It does not make one more superior than another, we’re all just different and have something unique to offer the kingdom. To avoid any confusion to those new in Christ, please see below verse.
1 Corinthians 12:8-11 NIV
“To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.”
I received this as a first read. I enjoyed this one. Definitely easy to read. She makes very good points here. I think this one will be good for anyone searching for what to do in their life. I can see this a very good read for a younger person or a younger Christian.
