Librarian Jan Carpenter likes things just so. Nestled in her tidy little cottage on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Alpine Grove, she enjoys her quiet life with her friendly, rotund black lab, Rosa. Jan's orderly life is turned upside down when she attends her mother's latest wedding in San Diego. (Number six...or maybe seven, but who's counting?) There, Jan encounters Michael Lawson, the obnoxious neighbor kid from twenty years ago. He's still irritating, but not as annoying as his dog who has a habit of eating...everything. The last thing Jan wants to do is risk heartache on a vacation fling with a smooth-talking serial dater, even if he is sinfully gorgeous and finds her unusual ability to remember obscure facts fascinating. Amidst wardrobe destruction, canine digestive indiscretions, and episodes of extreme mortification, Jan's desire to avoid drama may put the brakes on her fiery attraction to Michael. But maybe being cautious and responsible isn't all it's cracked up to be. Fuzzy Logic is a full-length novel (300 pages/80,000 words) that is Book #2 of the Alpine Grove Romantic Comedies. It's a feel-good novel that appeals to people who enjoy a little light romance and quirky animal stories.

Meh. No idea why I keep trying this kind of books - this one actually started out quite promising, but veered away into another of the boring, naive and childish “romances” that focus on the contrived and predictable. Meh.
Usually I spend time during the reading process trying to determine how much longer a book is. Even books I really love. All of a sudden, this story was over and I'm sad! Great characters...with some crossover from Chez Stinky. Think I'll read the next book.
Another sweet book by Susan, that unfortunately was harder for me to get through even though I'm a librarian like the female main character. It was funny but a bit slow to me, and like the first book it would have been a bit steamier in a perfect world..
Didn't love it; didn't hate it. The town of Alpine Grove and dogs feature in this romance between two people with a lot of parental "baggage". As they navigate their parent's quirky wedding and romance, their develop a tendre of their own. As they deal with their own past failed relationships, the stresses of their jobs, and long-distance romance, they struggle to determine what they really want out of life (and each other). Both their dogs feature heavily in the story, as do the protagonists of the first Alpine Grove novel and their fledgling kennel.
In Fuzzy Logic, the second book in the Alpine Grove Romantic Comedy series, author Susan C. Daffron transports the reader back to Alpine Grove for another lighthearted and entertaining story that is sure to tickle the reader's funny bone.
The story follows the trials and tribulations of Alpine Grove librarian Jan Carpenter as her ordinary quiet life is turned upside down when she unexpectedly encounters Michael Lawson, a rude and obnoxious ex-neighborhood kid from her past, who is now an irritating but attractive man! And if that isn't enough, poor Jan has to also deal with her zany mom, Angie's drama and antics as well! Can Jan let go of her cautious and responsible demeanor, loosen up, and let love walk in the door?
Fuzzy Logic was such a fun read, the author does a wonderful job of weaving an entertaining tale that has a good mixture of comedy, drama, and romance. The reader is easily drawn into the story as they follow the humorous trials and tribulations that Jan encounters in Alpine Grove and San Diego. The lovable characters from the first book, Chez Stinky return along with the motley crew of lovable animals to provide a touch of added comedy to the story with their individual personalities and crazy antics. The reader will easily find themselves laughing out loud as they turn the pages. There are enough interesting twists and turns that will keep the reader's interest throughout the story. When you add in a lighthearted sweet romance; family drama; a quirky cast of friends and townspeople; and a young woman's journey of self-discovery and finding unexpected love, you get a delightful story that will leave you wanting more.
An Alpine Grove Romantic Comedy Series is such a fun romantic comedy series to read, there's nothing better than interweaving a little bit of romance, comedy, and lovable animals within a story that is sure to leave a satisfied smile on the reader's face.
Disclaimer: I received a copy of the book from the author / publisher in exchange for my honest review and participation in a virtual book tour event hosted by Chick Lit Plus Blog Tours.
What a terrific continuation of life in Alpine Grove! Ms. Daffron weaves a lighthearted story about workaholic ad agent Michael, play it safe librarian Jan, and their four-legged, tail-wagging, friends Swoosie and Rosa.
I love Jan. She's unlike any heroine I've ever read about. She's a walking encyclopedia, knows a little bit about everything, but working in the library will do that, I guess. It was cool how she'd spout out details about this, know quotes from that, without having to really think about it. What made those moments special was Michael didn't seem to mind. Jan's ex might've said she had a brain filled with useless bits of information, but Michael didn't think that at all. He'd deliberately test her, misquoting someone or something, and he'd never get offended when she corrected him. That's cool.
The attraction between them was subtle but mutual. That first kiss though... That was explosive. At first, I won't lie, I thought he'd end up being her rebound guy. But the more I read about Jan, the more I realized she didn't have with her ex what she had with Michael. It made them getting together easier to handle, you know?
As different as Michael and Jan are, Swoosie and Rosa were just as different. Swoosie was a tornado of energy while Rosa was laid-back. Swoosie obeyed better while Rosa obeyed when she felt like it, lol. Still, they got along wonderfully, just like their owners.
A delightful and humorous story about life, love, family, and dogs. It tackles remarriage, sexual orientation, being true to oneself, the difference between atomic chemistry and mediocre emotions, and how change is often for the best. Will there be more about Alpine Grove? I hope so. I can't wait to meet more awesome characters Ms. Daffron writes to life.
It is true: This is normally not my genre. However, I really liked the story’s evolution right from the start. I was unable to put my eReader down. In this second book of the Alpine Grove Romantic Comedy series as well, the human and the canine characters are realistic and fit perfectly into the plot. Kat, Joel, and Alpine Grove are the important basic characters; librarian Jan and her new step-brother Michael and their dogs are the lead characters. Jan’s mother marries her former neighbour who is also Michael’s father. The perfect basis for some hilarious situations. No. I won’t tell you more. This would spoil the fun for your reading it yourself.
Fuzzy Logic is another great feel-good novel by Susan C. Daffron. There are certainly some serious situations in need to be solved, they are expertly handled by the author who knows her craft well. Fuzzy Logic is a very fine and fast read.
A must read for all those who enjoy a little romance, respect nature. like hilarious situations.

I love reading Susan's books. She keeps her books lighthearted and fun. You are guaranteed to laugh in her books, at least in this series. There were a ton of spots in this book that I couldn't help but laugh. The way she writes, it is like you are watching a movie. You can see everything that is going on with the characters.
I am not going give you a synopsis on this book because there is just too much that I would want to say that would give it away.
Susan writes like she never wants to give any bad news, or she doesn't want you to read anything that is bad. She keeps her books light, she wants you to have fun with the book, and what she writes, you can't help but to dance a little, or smile, or laugh. Sure there are tears in the book, but they are happy tears. I can't wait to read more of her work. I love her books!!!
I enjoyed immensely this book of "Fuzzy Logic"! I felt that she did a rest job on the writing this story! It was I found once I had begun reading it that it was not an easy ebook to just set down and ignore! I enjoyed reading this story that not only had young people involved in it but also animals, like dogs and cats and the antics that they go through. I recommend this ebook for those who enjoy animal and humans in a great story and yet is not a very long. I received this ebook free in exchange for doing a couple of reviews for the. author. Great job Susan! So I have decided to give the ebook five stars! By Angela
This was great romantic comedy with dogs & believable enjoyable characters. This was the second book in the Alpine Grove series. Another couple in the exciting small town of Alpine Grove. Librarian Jan Carpenter's life is turned crazy when she attends her mothers wedding. Amidst wardrobe destruction, canine digestive issues, and episodes of extreme mortification, Jan's desire to avoid drama may put the brakes on her fiery attraction to Michael. But maybe being cautious and responsible isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Susan C Daffron is on tour now with CLP Blog Tours and Fuzzy Logic I have also read the first book in this cute series, Chez Stinky and found Daffron’s writing to be immediately enjoyable. And I’m a huge dog lover, so of course I love all the dogs in the books and how much attention they get in the pages! Just like with the first, there are humorous and heart-warming moments throughout the book. Jan’s mom sounded pretty hysterical and the whole “heart sick” scene had me snickering. If you enjoy sweet romance stories, I definitely think you need to check these out!
Fuzzy Logic by Susan C Daffron was a fun book to read. This was a nice change of pace for me and I am now going to go back and check out the first book in the series because the author does such a good job writing. These books aren't typically my favorite types of books but I really did enjoy this one and I loved that she made the dogs in the book seem like they were characters themselves. If you love cute stories with animals & people than I know you will love this book!
All in all not bad, until the ending. After reading the last page of the last chapter I turned the page expecting to see an epilogue that tied everything together, no, just a page that says thanks for reading. I started book three in the series expecting the story to continue, there was an introduction to a new character. Put down book three, don't think I'll continue the series if there is no ending to each of the stories.
I think I spent just as much time laughing or sympathizing with the characters as reading.I love that from the beginning the animals' personalities are just as strong and important as the humans.I also love how total opposites become a perfect match I loved every moment.
