This is Wasp and Swan’s story. I love how it takes you back to when they first met and fall in love. Wasp is always saving Swan because he’s been in love with her since the beginning. Then they get to work together and their story is magical until a threat arrives.

Their story ends in a HEA but the story is a cliffhanger ugh!

I can’t wait until the next story!.

What an adventure!

Wasp and Swan's expansive relationship history really showcases how cohesive all the moving parts are in this author's fictional world. While each series focuses on the members of a different organization, they're all related and interact with the others whenever their missions overlap. In this book, we're following Wasp and Swan for years before they're in a position to act on their attraction to each other, so we're watching their friendship develop while they're also establishing the necessary professional contacts that will eventually lead them to joining the K19 Shadow Ops team. I love how intricate the history is, and watching their love grow despite all the separations and trials was absolutely beautiful.

Once we catch up to the present time, that's when things really take off. The Shadow Ops team is investigating a serial killer in the Adirondacks, and we've gotten to know Wasp and Swan a bit in the previous books as they worked the case in the background. Now we get to see a lot of the same events from their point of view and we get a front row seat to the risks involved with hunting down the killer. These events signal a turning point in Wasp and Swan's relationship. Everything they've gone through before is put to the test as they find themselves increasingly in danger.

Heather Slade always gives us a HEA for each book's couple, though the serial killer mystery only deepens as it continues further in this series. Swan and Wasp are an ideal example of two highly skilled operatives whose working relationship only strengthens their romantic relationship. I loved reading their story, and highly recommend it as well as the entire series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Wasp and Swan’s story is so full of twists and turns you have a hard time keeping up. Their romance is spread over a number of years with both of them trying to disregard their true feeling for one another. When they are finally forced to face their feeling the sparks really fly. It’s a great fast paced hold on to your hat read ! Loved it!.

I love, simply LOVE Heather Slade. She writes such complex characters and with such fine detail. I love the way she tells a story. WASP is the 3rd book in a newly formed K19 Shadow Ops series. And just as good if not a tad bit better than the previous two. It is a slow burn love story with some serious twists and that ending… OMIGOSH!!! I am loving Swan and Wasp as much as I love all the characters in this series… Fantastic job Heather Slade!!!

Code Name: Wasp is the third book in Heather Slade’s new K19 Shadow Operation series. This is a romantic suspense novel filled with danger, intrigue, fantastic characters, and great chemistry.

For years, Swan and Wasp have been drawn to each other but careers and circumstances have always stood in the way. When both are approached to work and pilot for K19, they jump at the chance to start new careers and a life together. Everything’s fine until an opportunity to stop a serial killer comes up and Swan volunteers to go undercover. Tensions rise as the number of victims increases, but will Swan and Wasp be able to put their differences aside before one of them is confronted by the killer? Read it and find out!

The tension and chemistry between Swan and Wasp was evident throughout the first two books in this suspenseful series. The couple was fantastic together and I enjoyed how they grew closer together as they learned to communicate more when difference of options occurred.

All the books in this series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone. However, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Their love story by MeemsAngel82

This was my 1st time reading this author and she did a great job with this book. The writing was brilliant and the world she created was non-stop action and a love story that is believable and takes place across time. A lengthy, detailed read and someone who clearly knows her craft.

Throughout time and meeting up here and there do to work, they can't stop thinking about one another. The other is the person in their dreams, awake they tempt one another like no one else. Getting together was natural, being together was forever.

Their jobs and hangouts, terminology used for them, I'm no expert but it was clear she knew her stuff! Readers will be pleased and enjoy their story of getting together and the danger surrounding them. I felt that both were justified in their feelings on her wanting to be used as bait and though everything came out wonderfully without unnecessary drama, note to everyone-talk it out. Wished that if you are wanting someone, you don't sleep with others in the meantime. Again, no unnecessary drama and said thankfully in passing, but it would have been nice for this romantic. Great writing quality, a detailed, reslistic and lenghtly love story!.

I have been waiting for this story! This series is LIFE. Wasp and Swan are great pilots. He has been “in love” with her since he first laid eyes on her. She is always on his mind. It has been a few years since they last seen each other when they meet up again to be on a joint assignment. But they mission doesn’t go as planned. They have been by each other side ever since. After this assignment, Wasp is done with the Air Force.
They have been approached with a new and great opportunity to join K19. They get to be together on assignments, and their relationship has gotten stronger. They have been assigned to a kidnapping case that they feel is out of their element a bit. When things take a turn and one of their own is kidnapped, they jump into action. Everyone on K19 has their suspicions for who the suspect is, but haven’t quite nailed it down. Just when things are getting closer, Wasp has this weird feeling that he can’t shake. Although, Swan gives the suggestion of herself being the “bait”, it is Wasp who is actually the one to be taken. Things are still crazy as to who is behind all of this, but one thing is for sure, they will figure it out. I highly recommend this story of Wasp and Swan as well as the K19 series.

I am a new fan of Heather Slade. She was suggested on a Facebook group, I picked up one book for free and well I was hooked.
Wasp is the 3rd book in the K19 Shadow operations, a spin off of the K19 series. That's the thing about Ms. Slade, she's got so many characters that all deserve their own book, so once a series finishes it's arc she spins them off, in this case the K19 Security Solutions was the main series. But one doesn't have to read all of them to know what's going on. In this series the books are taking place simultaneously however you are not missing anything if you haven't read the first two.
This book is different from others that I have read, (which at this time I've completed the Invincibles' Series). This book was divided into 2 parts the beginning is the history of Wasp and Swan, a look back at the approx six years since they met, and their various encounters. The second half of the book is the actual K19 mission. This book isn't as intense as some of the others action wise, but was still a great book.
I received this book as an ARC for a honest and voluntary review

Jasper 'Wasp' Theron first met Swan at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, she beat him in an exercise and his team is still ribbing him. Now Wasp was just a Lieutenant at the time and as such he found he was paying for all the drinks in his room dubbed hospitality suite. Dinners with the squadron were also required and the bill was split equally among everyone regardless of what they ate, there were also nights of credit card roulette where Wasp had lost the night before, this TDY was very expensive for him. After a joint debrief his commander Lt. Col. 'Barko' McAdams invites Swan to join them for their squadron dinner. He clearly wants to get to know Swan better. Swan wants nothing to do with him and instead sticks close to Wasp. This doesn't go over well.

Swan and Wasp meet up only one more time before they're tapped for a special mission years later. One that almost gets derailed. All this before they join with K19.

I loved getting all the background on these two, their relationship is flirty and fun but not completely smooth sailing. We also get a glimpse of Wasp's family.

When we return to the present case things take some unexpected twists. I couldn't stop reading until the end.

A great story. Loved it. While he and I had trained with different branches of the military—in different countries—we’d both learned that listening to our gut, our instincts, was paramount to survival.

Wasp is a fighter pilot. Flying was what he was born to do. He had just reported for duty at Shaw Air Force Base. He was planning to return to Nellis as commander of the fighter squadron, but another assignment caught his attention. Having a chance to work with the CIA, though, was practically a dream come true. But he would be working with an RAF pilot. The likelihood of it being anyone he knew was next to nothing anyway.

Swan is a fighter pilot. As an RAF pilot, she was asked to join a joint program, being developed by the CIA and MI6. They were also recruiting an Air Force pilot to join the program. The best there is, according to his CO. There was only one I’d ever heard referred to as the best at all of them and that was Wasp. I’d followed the life of the pilot whose career I almost upended six years ago when we were both at Lakenheath. Now we'll be working together.

Swan and Wasp have been put together several times over many years but were never at a place they could act on the attraction and chemistry they have. I would say this is kind of like a friends to lovers book except they knew they wanted to be more than friends for a very long time just couldn't act on it. Because of this when they do come together as a couple it is amazing! Swan decides she wants to go undercover and Wasp is not at all happy about it. Will it come between them or bring them closer? You will have to read to find out but know that Wasp will stop at nothing to protect Swan. This is a great addition to Heather Slade's K19 Shadow operation series. It can be read as a stand-a-lone but I do think I enjoyed it more having read the 2 prior books as you will see characters from past books in this one.

Wasp book three in the K 19 Shadow Operations series, Wasp, a fighter pilot air force. Swan, a fighter pilot as well and an M 16 agent. They both feel they are the best, they both seem to be constantly pitted against the other. This is a riveting story taking the two of them to the Adirondacks of Alaska in the coldest time of winter to participate in an on going investigation of a serial killer. They finally own up to their feelings and desires for each other after giving each other a wide off limits circle for so many years. This story keeps your attention from the very first word up until the very last word. I did find myself on the roller coaster “emotion” ride with them dealing with anger, danger, angst, anxiety, trust, romance, kidnapping, justice and unbelievable off the charts chemistry. I highly recommend. I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.

Code Name: Wasp is book 3 in the K19 Shadow Operations series.
Jasper (Wasp) Theron and Aubrey (Swan) Lee's story begins many years before when they both were in the beginnings of their chosen career paths as pilots. Their friendship grew out of respect for each other and with a bit of the competitiveness that each one possessed as with most pilots. Wasp’s commander had taken an unwelcome interest in Swan and with a possible career-ending move saved Swan from the unwanted advances of his CO. Fast forward to the present and Wasp and Swan reconnect through the mission that K19 is involved in finding the serial killer that is kidnapping and killing single rich women. This is a wonderful story and brings along the previous K19 employees and that is always a joy for us series addicts. Each one of these books is easily stand-alone but it’s so much better when you already are familiar with the players.

Watch out for his sting...it is deadly for those that try to harm his Swan

Code Name: Wasp is the third book in the K19 Shadow Operations series. This is a fantastic book and series....one that I am enjoying a lot. Actually the books are hard to put down so I found myself reading way into the early morning light. I loved the relationship between Wasp and Swan and their interplay between personal and work as they are a team in both places. The story-line is fast-paced, intense, exciting, suspenseful and action packed. But there is also a lot of love, caring and passion interspersed. The whole K19 team is involved with the story-line which adds more depth and interest to it. This is am absorbing read that kept me glued to the pages and loving the characters. I can't wait for the next book in this wonderful series.

Our heroine has a plan to take down a very dangerous opponent. The plan is risky and our hero definitely does not approve. Something needs to be done, but can they find a way to work together or will this plan tear them apart forever?

This is book three of the series, but it is written as a standalone. There are some references to the rest of the team, but nothing essential to your enjoyment of this story.

This is the perfect blend of action, thriller and romance in my opinion. We get lots of action and intrigue from all sides while the chemistry between our couple is intense and long overdue. Surprises and twists keep the reader guessing while the action keeps you flipping pages to see what comes next. Will they get an HEA? You will have to read to find out.

A solid plot and great characters makes for a very enjoyable read.

Highly recommended.

Like the previous books in this series, Code Name: Wasp combines romance with suspense. Unlike the others, Wasp's and Swan's story starts a long time before they become part of the team hunting for a serial killer. The book chronicles their relationship, which has a mystery and suspense element all its own. I loved their strength and competitiveness and to see friendship turn to love! Joining the team brings new challenges and tests their commitment and so we re-visit the events of the first books as seen through their eyes. There is a new dramatic development in the team's on-going investigation at the end which sets up the stage for the next member of the team to find his match. I can't wait for Cowboy's story!.

A wonderful steamy love story, with a side of mystery.

Wasp and Swan, both pilots, met years ago. For Wasp it was love at first sight. For Swan, I’m not so sure, but there was an intense attraction. He saved her from an unfortunate situation. Then they met up a number of years later and went on an assignment together for a year. Even though they had feelings for each other, they decided to just concentrate on that year and the assignment. Now K19 Shadow Operations wants them to work for them as a team. This book is a bit different, as it takes you on their journey together in detail from the moment they met. The mission they were assigned, as well as all the others, was a dangerous one. This mission still isn’t done at the end of this book. I am so looking forward to see if it’s solved in the next book.

This is the 3rd book in the K19 Shadow Operations series and is a spin off of the K19 series by Heather Slade. This is Wasp and Swan's story, both fighter pilots, both the best of the best and they met years ago. When Wasp first met Swan it was love at first sight, there was an intense attraction from them both. He saved her from an unfortunate situation but then parted ways. They met up a few years later and went on an assignment together for a year. This is a book of 2 parts the beginning is the history of Wasp and Swan, introducing you to the years from when they first met and their various encounters for six years. The end half of the book is their actual K19 mission, how they are together and their hunt for a serial killer. Thoroughly enjoyable. Can't wait for the next in the series.

This is a really good military romance story.Wasp was station overseas flying for the Air Force an they had teams flying against each other pretending to shoot each other down.He has a really bad crush on a beautiful British Air Force pilot code name Swan. But as the situation doesn't come up for them to try an see what can come of it.After saving Swan from his CO trying to attack her.He doesn't get to fly again while being their but when he goes back to the states he's flying again an gets a promotion. When he's told he'd be on special assignment with the CIA.and that a pilot from Britain will be partner with him.He never even dreamed his partner will be Swan maybe their chance will come. There are so many twists an turns to this story you will be riveted until the very last page an leave you begging for more.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

We have met Wasp and Swan in earlier books in this series but now we finally get their story As fighter pilots they couldn't act on their attraction to one another so they friend zoned one another but now they can no longer hold back and seeing they now both work for K19 that can move forward with their relationship. Swan as a member of K19 is going undercover and putting her life in danger and Wasp isn't going to allow that without trying to protect her. Can they solve who the serial killer is

This is one author who build an entire world with her various units overlapping along with their cases meaning that you really get to know he characters and the lives they lead Not only do I highly recommend this book and series but all of the worlds Heather has created.

Wasp, book 3 in the K19 Shadow Ops series is a stand-alone novel (but I recommend reading the series in order) that follows Wasp and Swan. As told in alternating POVs, the author takes us on a journey, building one's interest in the characters. When circumstances allow them to pursue a romantic relationship, Wasp and Swan build take their strong friendship to the next level.
As for the plot, there is a serial killer that kidnaps and kills single rich women and the Shadow Ops team is at the heart of the investigation. This plot has been incorporated throughout this series, beginning with Ranger, followed by Diesel.
This is a fantastic series!

More excitement with K19
This book opens and closes with Wasp being missing. The beginning introduces and explains the relationship and how it develops between Wasp and Swan both professional and intimate, from first meeting as USAF and RAF pilots to being together personally and working for K19. The missing women is still in focus, with emphasis on the FBI involvement and double agents, murder and abduction. A new twist appears towards the end of the story as there is a question over more dead women and who could be in charge of this operation.
K19 is working hard, love and romance is mixed with professional responsibilities.
More to come....

This is the third book in the new shadow ops series, detailing the slow burn romance of Wasp & Swan.

They have known each other & worked together for a long time & now the time is right to explore the other side of their relationship. With their story we see elements from the previous books through their eyes which is a nice element.

Although each book deals with separate character stories there is a central story that runs through the series so I would advise reading them in order rather than individually. With this book we got a few more pieces to the puzzle so can’t wait for the next book & to get a few more clues.

Another excellent book! This story is told from the perspective of Wasp, an Air Force fighter pilot, and Swan, an RAF fighter pilot. Some of the events have been covered in previous novels, but now we know what was happening to Wasp and Swan, and how they met and how their romance progresses. Wasp first saves Swan from an overly aggressive officer who wants sex with Swan. That puts his career in jeopardy and they don't see each other again for almost a decade. The attraction is still there, but it takes quite a while to blossom. As is usual from Ms Slade, the characters and story are first rate. A serial killer is on the loose and continues with Cowboy's story. Looking forward to that!!

So boring. I skimmed through a lot of it.

This book is booooorrriiiinnnggg. It starts SIX YEARS previously and goes through when Wasp and Swan first met, then how they they met over the years. I’m sorry but I don’t care how they met, and had really stilted conversations. They’re a weird couple. They talk to each other like strangers. Made a lot worse because the author tried to write about an English person, as Swan is English. We really don’t talk like that! Over half the book is about their story and their romance, it’s nearly finished when something actually happens, then it’s over really quickly.

I ended up skimming pages just to find out what happens. Onto the next and hopefully it’ll be more exciting.

Swan and Wasp meet when they're in a joint command, they are both excellent pilots. Wasp is enamoured with her immediately but keeps it professional, even though it's a struggle. Then they're out with the rest of the crews when someone oversteps and Wasp steps in, even though it might affect his career.
Years later they meet again, they're going to work together on a mission, but first they have to find out who is targeting them.
After they leave their respective forces, they go to work for K19.

It was a slow kind of read build up for this couple, really the background of how Wasp and Swan came together. They both were part of the previous chapters in this series, but we never knew how they came together. Now we do. When you read the blurb for this book, it made me think, how could Wasp end up in trouble when it should have been Swan. Definitely a twist that you did not see coming. They each did not admit their feelings for each other, it took years of dancing to finally admit, and it was a very sweet discussion on no one measuring up, and her asking what she is like. "Perfect, Exquisite, Magnificent" but forced to be friends at first.
