Totally enjoyed this book. The suspense kept you turning the pages. Love that the heroine is so smart yet down to earth. Glad the hero is also made strong yet has a gentle soul. Bond between the brothers shows strongly. Definitely an enjoyable book with romance & suspense. A true review of the book given as a ARC copy.

I won this book in a giveaway. I entered on a whim, which seems to be a good tactic for winning. Adventure and romance are two of my favorite genres, so this one definitely called to me. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, but it wasn't necessary as the author filled in the important parts of each character's backstory without bogging the reader down with information.
I would have preferred more adventure, but I understand that this is a romance book, so the adventure bit was more of a side story. I want to know what happens when she finds all of the pieces!
There are just two things that bothered me in this story. The first was that I would have preferred that the Spanish was implied rather than have read the snippets peppered in the book. The phrases felt unnecessary and almost... elementary. The second complaint is one that I constantly harp on. I feel like if just one person did a thorough read through they would have caught the egregious errors in the text. Spell check isn't going to find everything. There were a few blatant errors, but the most unfortunate one was when they were in the cave and Eva saw that the utensils included "bowels" that were still in tact. I sure hope there weren't ancient bowels still juicy in the cave. I'm assuming that the author self publishes, which is why these things went unchecked, but they could have been found with a once-over by a friend.
Overall this was a fun read and I can see readers wanting to read the entire series. I might do so myself one day.

I actually liked this book; I've read another novel by this author, and she is known for her thriller and romance type of novels.

As previously mentioned in the summary, Ava is on an expedition in a dangerous country looking for artifacts. She's known as the privileged and weak daughter of a weapons developer. Her father secretly sends out Santino to watch her. At first, they exchange a friendly rapport and nothing more, but then, towards the middle of the book, they start to have feelings for each other. Although Santino cares for her deeply, he realizes that their new romance could affect his career.

Ava's personality in this book is a little wild to me, but if you are an archaeologist, it seems to me that you do have to be a little wild. I like that she's willing to "muddy up" her hands to get artifacts, if you know what I mean, and I notice that she always stays true to herself. However, I think she also makes some spontaneous decisions that do not benefit her. Luckily, Santino, having endured a rough upbringing, helps Ava towards the right direction.

Overall, I enjoyed this book because of the twists and turns the author took; I also liked how the romance didn't "overpower" the overall thriller theme. I expect to read more of this author's work in the future!

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Sharp File . This is another fantastic story in the Rider Files Series . I really enjoyed reading this story .
Santino Alonso works for Rider SI . He is happy to find his next assignment seems to be alot less dangerous than his last assignment. Unfortunately looks can bee deceiving . Ava Sharp is more than just the daughter of a Weapons developer . Ava has been studying Archeology . She is searching for the missing pieces of an archeological find like no others . Ava and Santino are attracted to each other from the start but They soon find themselves fighting for their lives . This story is off the charts with suspense and it's action packed . I could not put it down. The characters are unique just a fabulous suspense . I highly recommend taking the time to read.

This is a page turner from start to finish that grabs your interest and doesn't let go. It begins as a simple bodyguard detail for the daughter of a weapons developer, but evolves into a story involving lost Incan treasures, a stalker, and revenge. Santino is not your typical ex-military turned security alpha. His training came from a delusional father, who prepared him for the apocalypse. Ava is also not the spoiled, little rich girl. She was intelligent and capable, but also had doubts about her life. I loved both characters as they worked together in the jungle and caves to save themselves. The story was fast paced and filled with history, romance and non stop action.

The Rider team is back and this time it is really Santino's story as he and his brother are bodyguards to Ava Sharp. Ana's dad is feeling uneasy and off Rider goes in this wild ride in Peru with adventure, a danger to be determined and lots of attraction. Fun and entertaining to read as Ana and Santino fall for each other and have an amazing adventure. Add in archeology and the hunt for pieces of a relic and got a great story. A great addition to the series. Lots of fun to read and hard to put down.

What other adventures will they go on?
Now I expected a nice adventure story maybe a bit of danger but boy did I get more than that with this book. There was so much going on and coming from all different angles it was AWESOME. I enjoyed reading this one it has loads of danger with a lovely romance thrown in. It is written so well and with characters that are so realistic. If you get a chance to read this book I highly suggest you do it is so worth the time reading. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Santino and Ava become friends and then fall in love. However Santino is hired as her protector as well but Ava is smart and figures it out on her own. It makes no difference to their relationship. Santino has a hit out on him and his twin Rafe which leads to danger to both of them. However at the same time, Ava has her own stalker. Hopefully all of their enemies are dealt with during their escape/rescue. I really like how strong Ava and Santino are and how they work together in Ava's field of work.

I gave this book 5-stars because Mica did a well job having her one business, She isn't afraid to take risk hiring people who are going to protect her clients from getting hurt. Seeing Ava wanted to be save in her own room, she doesn't want to be smothered, she wants to go out and have fun. She her own Rider SI bodyguard to keep her from danger. She and Santino are set out to find The Incan Reclic while searching they come across it. Then something goes horror wrong. At some time pass things start to get interesting to these two. I receive an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review

If you’re looking for a book that has exciting, non-stop action, this book (and pretty much the whole series), is one that you will enjoy. I loved the archeological aspect to the mystery as I’ve always found that topic to be fascinating. Add in some sexy romance and I can’t tell you how hard it was to put down before bed.

This story held my interest from start to finish and featured old and new characters. I enjoyed seeing Santino and Ava's relationship grow and change, the danger that was lurking, the unknown and the Indiana Jones/National Treasure vibe that I felt whilst reading this. I am looking forward to reading more from this series.

I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway. It’s the 7th in the series, but can be read as a standalone. It had a bit of a slow start for me, and some editing errors, but overall I loved the suspense and romance. This was an easy read and I really enjoyed the easy friendship and relationship that santino and Ava shared. It had Likeable main characters, despicable bad guys, fun archeological finds, and all the action!

Amazing story

Exciting romantic suspense 4*
If you like Indiana Jones and Lara Croft, then you'll love this book. I have an archaeologist in the family, so I always seek out books on this topic. Peruvian Inca treasure is certainly an interesting backdrop to any story. Ava, an archaeologist, the daughter of a weapons manufacturer and Santino, her bodyguard have incredible chemistry and attraction for each other. A bit slow to start, but the novel described well-developed characters, had good use of English and vocabulary, scene-appropriate dialogue, and good spacing for the tension points. The whole novel had great dynamism with so much suspense, I was at the edge of my seat. I am very happy to recommend this book.

Archaeology, adventure and romance. What more can you ask for?

This is book seven of the series, but it is written as a standalone. It is not necessary to have read the previous books to enjoy this one.

This is a romantic suspense story, one of my favorite genres. The combination of action, intrigue and romance makes for a great combination. This one is well written, easy to read and has an excellent cast of characters. I love the treasure hunter aspects of the story as our characters dig into the past. The story moves at a good pace and has plenty of twists and turns which keep things interesting. Overall, it was a great story and I look forward to more in this series.

From two different worlds, Ava is not spoilt, and is multitalented, Santino was brought up by his father who trained his sons for the apocalypse. From the beginning there is heat between them.

Unbeknown to her father, Ava is an archaeologist, and good one. Ava has made a find that has resulted in someone hunting her down. Ava pushes up her timeline, and Santino is with her.

The story was different to what I expected. Took me a while to get into it, and then I was hooked on all the descriptive language – the scenery, emotions, relationships. The suspense builds up through the book. And there is so much more to the main characters than I thought.

Reading is good for the soul!.

Archaeologist Ava is on a dig in Peru to find an artifact that will give her status of her own, instead of just being a rich heiress. Santino works for Rider SI and is hoping for an easier job than going after drug lords. His wish is not granted as he and Ava are in the crosshairs of someone wanting to stop them. Loved the chemistry and tension that grabbed me right from the start. The characters are intriguing with entertaining situations and great banter. Plenty of drama, danger, great locales, twists, surprises, steam, narrow escapes and much more. The perfect blend of everything to give you all the feels you crave. Well done.

Another brilliant addition to the Rider Files where the hero's are not only all alpha and strong but also smart and giving and Santino Alonso is no different He is recently returned from a case working against drug dealers that almost caused his death but at least this time he has an easier case bodyguard for a daughter of weapons manufacturer What eh didn't expect was the instant attraction he feels for Ava Sharp nor the fact that they connect on an intellectual level as well. But danger is stalking them in Peru and soon they are working together to stay alive This is a non stop roller coaster ride that you won't want to put down so don't start it late or a guarantee you won't be sleeping

An heiress falling for her bodyguard may be old hat but Ava is not your normal rich chick. Ava is has baggage but she is also smart and has learned to stand up for herself the hard way. Even though Santino is not ex military he has skills, not the least of which is he can sneak under peoples radars. When he becomes Ava’s friend he becomes more than a bodyguard. I really like that this story doesn’t drag out the fights or even the sexy scenes, you get all of the feels without the in your face blow by blow. The plot line weaves and twists. The adventure is fun and sensual. This is a great read.

A well-written story with thrills, mystery, and romance interspersed makes this book one that's hard to put down. I hadn't read any of the previous books and that did not take away from my enjoyment of this story. The Rider team provides you with an adventure that is fun and has a little bit of steam.
