I acquired a bunny quite by accident and needed some basics on how to take care of a bunny. This book was a quick read with many helpful tips. There were some grammatical errors that made me cringe but the information was solid.
Some of the information in this book is not accurate. It gives bad advice to potential new rabbit owners. Rabbits should not drink out of water bottles or have wire bottoms to their cages. Both of these things could potentially hurt your rabbit. Many of the "rabbit" products that are sold at pet stores are actually hazardous to rabbits. Anyone who is thinking about getting a bunny should consult their local rabbit rescue or the House Rabbit Society.
The book looks like it was probably self-edited and published - nice layout, easy to follow, found it in our library system.
It's definitely aimed at pet owners (rather than breeders) and at those considering whether they want to get a bunny. It's pretty basic which makes for a good introduction but I would definitely suggest following it with a more comprehensive text. Will keep looking to see what else the library has.
The title is misleading . This book just tells you a Little insight on rabbit care and for those who are wanting to adopt a rabbit . Most information is Available on google . Some of the info is wrong . The diet part is so wrong . Some of the mentioned veggies causes gas in bunnies . It’s an ok book If you don’t know anything about bunnies but if you already own one . Then it’s of no help.
We recently rescued an abandoned rabbit someone left in a pet carrier out by a lake. I wasn't sure about the do's and dont's of rabbit care and this book was a great general overview to at least get us started on the right path to care for our newest family member. It was a quick read, to the point, and offered lots of great info.
I liked this book. It was a quick read but has lots of great information plus freebies at www. everythingrabbit.com. It's not super in depth, obviously, but i still took notes and learned a lot.
I liked this book. I am looking at getting a rabbit I've been researching. Videos on YouTube come off preachy and in some cases unrealistic. This book is practical and non judgemental, I have learned a lot.
Make sure if you have a cage, that it is only a home base and leave the door open for your pet to jump in and out of. They need space to jump and play. Also, make sure the housing has a flat bottom - no wires. Those hurt their feet.
Honestly pretty basic care guide book, doesn’t give a lot of information, not all information is correct. This book could be a lot more detailed with better information for first time rabbit owners.
A great resource if you want quick, to the point information about keeping and caring for a bunny. This book takes very little time to read but hits all the high points of basic care. If you want to information on how to clip nails, how to figure out if your bunny is sick, etc, this isn’t the book for you. It isn’t ultra detailed, but it was just what I was looking for!
Pretty good, well rounded and useful, practical information for those new to rabbit-handling. I a So like that there's a link to a website with more tips and resources as well as a forum. A few more pictures or would have been useful, for instance, when discussing grooming, which is such an essential part of living with a rabbit. I recommend this book as a good, clear starting guide. Worth the money.
This was a great introduction to rabbits and caring for them. A good amount of information without being overwhelming. I look forward to putting what I learned to good use with my son's first bunny!
I chose this rating because this is like the best book ever that I have read for my rabbit! I love this book and I hope you ( the reader) will love it to. This is such a good rabbit guide. Love it.
This book is very beneficial for anyone looking to purchase a rabbit as a pet. It has just about all the information you need to get started. This book is well worth the purchase!
