Anastasia Munn is young, uneducated, and naive. When she stumbles into an administrative position at a law firm, she becomes infatuated with Jaxon Kent, a senior associate at the firm. Even though the sexually inexperienced heroine has been warned about his alternative sexual lifestyle, she pursues him relentlessly until she gives up, realizing the futility of her efforts. He's just not interested in her type.

While written in the first person, and entirely from the female lead's point of view, this story displays creativity and intrigue as we experience what Anastasia is experiencing, step by step through her exposure to the world of BDSM.

Letting Go is well written with exceptional attention to erotic details. I found the first few chapters a little slow in starting, but once I reached the fifth chapter, I was glad I'd stuck with it and found this story hard to put down.

For readers of contemporary erotica who are interested in taking a look inside the world of BDSM, Letting Go is the book for the job.

This book is a love story with a difference, it involves a world where pain and pleasure go hand in hand.

Very authentic descriptions and scenarios about what happens when someone is involved in the Lifestyle.

I loved this book and would love to know what happens next. A well deserved five stars, can't wait to read more stories by both these authors.

Kinky! (Surprise, surprise, right??) Though I'm not into the Lifestyle much, myself, it's always intriguing to take a peek at it. Fans of BDSM will like this one.

Anastasia (yeh, we've got a BDSM book with a character named Anastasia!) develops a huge crush on one of the lawyers at the firm where she works as an admin assistant. She's been warned that Jaxson is into things good girls don't do, and she also knows that having an affair with him would be suicide for her career. She has never seen him with the same girl twice and she finds out the girls he meets with are weekend slaves called the Mayflowers. After getting drunk one night at a work function, she misrepresents herself as one of the Mayflowers, and Jaxson takes her up on her offer. Although the sex was hot, the story was a bit incredulous. It just wasn't believable that Jaxson couldn't tell Stasia wasn't a slave right off the bat.

This story held my attention from the beginning. I wanted to know why the protagonist was so into her guy, and I wanted to know what her guy was hiding. Little by little, the authors fed clues that kept me turning pages. I specifically enjoyed the idea of the Mayflower girls and their set of rules. My favorite section was when the characters visited an erotic store and Stacia spanked another submissive to orgasm. There was enough balance of lust and fascination that the relationship between the two main characters was both entertaining and believable.

Letting Go is the perfect balance between plot and eroticism. Images formed easily in my mind so I could visualize and enjoy the characters play. It is written in first person allowing me to more immerse myself into the story. I don't know if that would be true for a man. The BDSM is tempered, so it's a good starter book if you're interested in seeing if you are aroused by that. It is a bit stereotypical in that the man is a hunky guy and he has "magic powers" of pleasing a woman. Even still, if you want a slow burn that you can stay in for the duration of a book, this isn't just a fantasy, this is a crafted story.

☆6 Highly recommended

This was suggested to me by the author and OMG!! Talk about great. The BDSM was perfectly written (though Jaxon is too good to be true) and one of the best of the many books I've read. I'm def using the book concept 😉. Jaxon's interests aren't extreme, nor are they vanilla. About perfect for a newbie.
I'd love a sequel set a couple of years later, to see how far they've gone. I also loved the fact his wealth was almost incidental to the story, which made a nice change.

I didn't know what to expect when I agreed to review this book. It definitely wasn't what I got. I enjoyed reading Anastasia's story, though it reminded me of Fifty Shades of Grey a lot. There were several things in there that was similar. Letting Go is an interesting read.
