Well, well, well, Nikki Sloane. Where have you been all my pervy life? Did you know that your debut book made my ovaries happy? I hope your next one is just as good because you definitely got me hooked.
Allow me to sum up over half the book for you in one gif...
In short? Make sure your ovaries are prepared. Luckily mine are steel plated at this point, so I had no problems.
I had no idea what to expect going into this book. I read the blurb but that really only grazes the surface of the entirety of this book. Beyond the hot sex there is most definitely a great story, a sexy romance, fantastic writing...and hot sex. What? There was a lot of it, it's worth mentioning twice.
Evelyn loves mostly everything about her job as a designer in a prestigious Chicago firm. Well mostly everything. Her extremely anal and dickhead manager definitely leaves something to be desired. He doesn't shy away from criticism and he doesn't exactly sugar coat it. So when Evelyn's oversight results in a mistake that could cost the firm $10,000 she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. At the risk of losing the job that she loves, she promises Logan that she'll pay for her mistake...now she just has to figure out where to get the money.
Evelyn's best friend is a free spirited and tell it like it is woman that loves her sex hot and the men to pay for it. She's an escort at a highly exclusive escort agency, so when she hears of Evie's problems she offers her a way out: one night working at the club. While Evie's logical self screams at her that what she's about to do is crazy, her dire situation and her impulse is telling her she has no choice and she agrees. This is also where she meets him
Now I feel I have to warn you that there are 2 very descriptive MFF scenes. While I found the first one to be fairly hot and felt that it fit the situation, I was a bit iffy on the second one. While MFF isn't my preference (I much rather prefer MMF), if it fits the story, I don't mind it. But if it's not your cuppa, just be warned.
I don't want to give you much more on the story since it's really best experience blind, just like Evie did ;)
I really enjoyed Nikki Sloan's writing style. She wrote two very relatable characters with Evie and Logan. While I didn't feel their connection at the very beginning, she truly made me believe it in the most realistic way. Logan has that touch of an asshole to him, but he quickly changes his tune when he's with Evie. (Almost a little too soon for my tastes)
The story itself was quick paced and entertaining. And the sex was truly sizzling
There was a lot of mention of Logan's big cock, which grew tiresome eventually. I think dirty talk can go beyond "do you want my big cock in your pussy" but he definitely made up for it with everything else.
There was also that second MFF scene that just never clicked with me. Maybe it was who it was with? I just couldn't understand the reasoning of either of the women. It kind of came out of left field for me to be honest. While it was super hot, I really think I could have done without it.
For a debut novel, this was fantastic and Nikki manages to throw an evil hook in at the end that will leave you dying for the next book. But if you're concerned about a HEA, rest easy because this book has a perfect one. The hook happens for Evie's best friend, and I got one can't wait to see the man that brings that little spitfire to her knees.

My friend Trish recommended these books to me and I typically go into her recommendations pretty much blind. This series is addictive, I am already on book 3! All of the books feature different couples and can be read as standalones.
Evelyn is completely devoted to her job and her field is very competitive in Chicago. So one day when she realizes she made a little mistake, but the mistake is going to cost the client a large sum of money, she is desperate. Desperate times call for desperate measures, so Evelyn calls in a favor to her friend Payton.
Payton works for a sex club, the blindfold club. Basically, Evelyn decides to sell her body, for one night, in hopes in raising the money to fix her mistake.
Logan is Evelyn’s tyrant of a boss, okay maybe he isn’t that bad, but everyone fears him. So you can imagine Evelyn’s surprise when the blindfold comes off and it’s Logan. From here the story takes off and it’s obviously super hot, I mean crazy hot. It’s also full of angst and sneaking around.
If you are looking for a book that is seriously so freaking hot, has enough drama and twist to keep you engaged and a sweet little story pick up this one!

4.5 One Who Deserves You Stars ⭐
I remember being obsessed with the Blindfold series when it was first released. Let me just say the hype is real. The first book Three Simple Rules is original and naughty and some of the best erotic romance I have read. If you’re not one for an abundant amount of explicit sex in your stories; then walk away now…

When Evelyn screws up royally at work, committing to outlay $10k to fix the error was the first mistake since she doesn’t have the money. Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Fortunately, her best gal pal has the remedy. One night as a dish served warm as a call girl…no worries!
The modest part of me cringed inside. Yet there was a darker part that was turned on. It’s better to have regret of what you’ve done, than what you failed to do, it whispered.
One must mention Evelyn’s boss Logan who is the bane of her existence. A perfectionist hardass who is pretty lush if he wasn’t such a dick. Except opinions change when Logan becomes aware of Evelyn’s plans to sell her body and places the highest bid.
The damage had been done. He’d seen me naked, he’d gone down on me, and currently he was fucking me. My boss. Wasn’t it enough that I had to struggle to please him at the office?
This is an office romance like no other. To think this was the author’s debut novel is ridiculous. The chemistry, concept and sexual shenanigans were incredible. So, freaking hot! But where this excelled was the actual storyline. Everyone knows there is an order to dating. You meet, you like, you date, then you shag? Well nope in this instance, and I bloody loved it!

I gave up at 23%.
The writing was good but I simply can't connect with the characters and with all the things they did. I like books with kinks but I found the club and their rules kind of weird and ridiculous. Also, I didn't find Logan sexy. Not at all.
This book was introduced to me by a friend and she liked it but sad to say, it didn't work out for me. :(

*OH, Mighty Logan! He is everything... An Adorable Alpha that I love.
*Plus, he wasn't the richest of them all; I always find this fact amusing because sometimes the H owns the world, and it annoys me...
*They have the chemistry, and I LOVE all the sexual intercourses.
*They have design-related jobs.
*I LOVE BOSS ROMANCE! Mmm-hmm office sex...
I saw him through new eyes. My boss was stunningly handsome and powerfully sexy.
“Lock it,” he said.
“Why?” He looked uncomfortable.
“Because I’m hoping we’re going to end up fucking in here.”

*From now on, Nikki Sloane is gonna be the first address I check when I want something REAL steamy. I hope her other books offer the same.

Second: I love Evelyn and Logan and them as a couple.
Third:I was never a fan of porn; I can even say I dislike it. But I guess I LOVE the written porn... And that was what I needed at this point. So yeah...

Why couldn't you just let my beloved couple have the -happy at the moment- scene. I mean, I also needed that... So I simply choose to ignore the Cliff!
PS: The next book is about Peyton, and sadly I am not the biggest fan of her. It's a shame because I generally like her type. Somehow she irritated me a little.
However, I will probably continue with the series because I presume there is again a big part of Logan and Evelyn in the 3. book.

I'd forgotten I read this series until it reappeared in my GR feed. I originally went into it blind. Imagine my surprise.
The best thing I can say about it was for once the H was not a billionaire or a millionaire or a goddamn gazillionaire. He had to rob his 401(k) to come up with 12k to pay the pimp. For once he was realistic. But the rest of the shit in the book, not so much so.
I know Safety Gang Ladies are already onto this book/series, but I'll still add my two cents.
The threesome, in concept, wasn't really a problem for me. I waaay prefer M/F/M and M/M/F, I'll be honest, but to each their own.
What made it a problem for me was the BFF.
I felt like the threesome was her total agenda. Whether she was secretly mad or turned on the h had been with her female friend sexually or whatever, she WANTED to make it happen. She even made the suggestion first when they met for dinner as a trio. It was nearly the entirety of their conversation that night. And the H is like "whatever, you're enough, babe" to the h. And the h in her headspace is like: "fuck no, I'm not into sharing."
But when the situation was upon the h, I TOTALLY feel the BFF manipulated her into the threesome. Made the h feel like it was her idea, not the BFF's idea. They were drinking Tequila and then the BFF tied the h down for the H's birthday surprise. Then when she was tied and blindfolded the BFF went down on her without really asking if it was ok. And I feel like the h was caught up in the moment (pleasure + alcohol) and therefore accepted the sexual liberation of a threesome when with a clearer head she probably would have said "fuck, no" - so not happy with that part.
But what I really, really, really, really, really didn't like was the way the H was all about what he got to do to the BFF. He's so hot for her and he spent more time actually fucking the BFF then he did the h. I almost felt like the BFF got more out of the threesome sexually than anyone else...maybe the H came in second.
(Spoiler for second book) but what annoyed the absolute fuck out of me, in the BFF's book...she won't share her man sexually. Their threesomes are just him fucking her while she's with women. WTF? Really, that just pissed me off more than I can explain. I totally hated her at that point and felt completely justified in my beliefs about her motivations in the first book. And the fact that she's a prostitute, I mean, it just brings all the stereotypes out, and she lives up to them. I really didn't want an HEA for her.

I know I have friends on either end of the spectrum as far as rating of this book, but the dirty girl in me was quite delighted with it. It is flipping sexy. As in off the charts sexy. Is it flawed with some moments that make you go "hmm"? Yes. Is it forgivable? For me... yes! Evelyn is driven to do something out of character for one night to pay for a mistake and Logan happens to end up benefitting in all kinds of delicious ways. I warn that this book will very likely test your boundaries. It is very much about open expression of sex and love and all of the associated bits. There is sharing involved. There are two FFM scenes, the latter of which I felt didn't fit. I wasn't a big fan of who it was with and what was allowed but eventually I moved forward. Logan starts off as brusque and standoffish but as we get to know him and his motivations he warms. Evie is a little naive in some ways. The plot takes some turns that rationalizes things in some ways that are atypical to me but nonetheless entertaining. All in all a super scorching and solid read. Safety: OM in an emotional sense at first and a single physical act before they get together. OW with consent for both. Yes to sharing. No rape or abuse.

These characters discover themselves through their sexual connection, and as sizzling as those scenes are between them, there is no doubt in my mind that this is first and foremost a romance, a love story between two people who found their perfect match in each other, and who are willing to put in the work for their relationship to survive.
I loved this book, unexpectedly so, and cannot praise it highly enough for the way it so seamlessly ‘married’ titillating erotica with heart-warming romance, all wrapped up into a flawlessly written, impressive little gem. It was a joy to read and it catapulted me right onto the next book in the series without a second thought.

Update November 24, 2020. 2 years later and this book still gives me nightmares. Whenever I even see/hear the word threesome, I get triggered.
I read this book on my phone and I did enjoy it up until the MFF threesome. Logan was way too thrilled about fucking Payton. He spent more time being inside her than he did Evie, his girlfriend! The love of his life! 90% of the threesome was him fingering Payton, going down on her and fucking her. It just did not work for me. It really bothered me how happy he was about being able to have sex with Payton. Especially after Payton comes the first time and Evie wanted to switch places but no, Logan wanted to keep having sex with her best friend instead. Gross.

I binged read this series, I started with this book and two days later I’m on the third book. That is how much I love this series. This book is a no fuss, no muss and completely steamy read that hit all the right spots.
Evelyn is a working girl. She loves her job and she wants to move up in her career. She makes a mistake that costs the company thousands of dollars. She needs cash fast to pay it off herself before people find out and she gets fired or be passed up for promotion.
Logan is her boss. He’s tough, he’s honest and Evelyn doesn’t like him. I love the way the book starts and I love the dynamic Logan and Evelyn have. I love how hardworking Evelyn is and how much she’s willing to put up with a lot to do something she loves.
Logan isn’t all that he seems and I love seeing his many sides. Evelyn tells Logan of the mistake and he agrees she can pay for it as long as he can get the cash after the weekend.
How does a pretty girl get thousands of dollars over the weekend? Well sleeping with someone for money of course.

If you're looking for a hot and steamy and a rather easy read, then Three Simple Rules delivers completely on each score. The story revolves around Evie (Evelyn) who works at a print agency and her rather formidable boss and taskmaster, Logan. At the beginning, Evie has made a rather grave mistake that looks like it will cost her her job. So she goes to Logan and strikes a deal with him that she'll come up with the money to rectify her mistake if he gives her until Monday. Logan reluctantly agrees. And Evie sets out to try and produce a rather large sum before Monday hits. How does she do it? By working for one night only at a sex club her best friend, Peyton is employed at. She needs top dollar and the night is a gamble on how much she can bring in but bring in she does. That would be the end of the story really if it wasn't for who shows up and pays for the night with her. Got to say, that whole scene was really rather sensuous with one hell of a twist. And where the ride goes from there is where it gets even hotter and steamier. To say that there's sex in this book would be an understatement. Although I really liked Evie and I absolutely adored Logan, I could've done with a little less sex - it's not that it isn't hot but there were a couple of components of the plot where I hoped for more conflict and thus more resolution and also I thought there would be a little more to the OW drama. That being said, given that this was told only from Evie's point of view, the author really made Logan - his actions, his luggage and his intentions very clear through how he acted and what he had to say. One gets so used to dual POV, but the author made you feel like you still got Logan's even though he didn't have his own chapters. There are a couple of minor shockers near the end and of course that moment where the two are tested and have to find a way back but I found them really minimal and cleaned up almost too easily. Even with that though, this was a satisfying read and full of sexual exploration for Evie. She goes from basically boyless with not much of a sex life to fully blooming and learning to let go and explore. And Logan.... ah, Dear Logan - he's definitely worthy of a book boyfriend!

I am behind my daily reading goal. It is just a hectic day today at work. The job is non stop and I have little time to finish Three Simple Rules.
I recently read Pool Boy from Miss Sloane and I am loving it. Three Simple Rules is hot. Really steamy hot. I like Logan. He is a asshole hero but he is so hot. Sexy hot. This man knows what he is doing in bedroom.
Evelyn was down on her luck and she is 'forced' to take a shady 'job' at a sex club. In there she met Logan. The story began from there. There are some aspect of BDSM and kinky sex. All I can say is Miss Sloane is a very talented and imaginative fantasy for the smutty scenes. No wonder many readers drooling over this book.
Overall I do enjoy the book. It is a good book.

4,5 SIMPLE stars!!
I read this because friend's recommendation. I feel a bit pessimistic when I read the blurb because it didn't make me curious about it. It's quite mediocre. But... after I read some chapters, Wow.. Surprise!! I'm speechless. Well done Nikki Sloane! I hooked until the end. This is my GO-book when I need orgasms :p

I forgot! I completely forgot how it's almost impossible to hide things from the reader when a book is written from a dual point of view. This story unfolds through Evie's eyes only, so I got rocked by the revelations way near the end of the book. Up until then, this was a really good smut romp with an actual plot and real conflict - a solid 4 star read. Even though I didn't like how they got together in the first place, it was an undeniably hot scene. And I loved Logan who was an imposing alpha but not an ass, and Evie was sweet and endearing. Then I got blindsided and it moved up to a 5 star. I don't agree with how the author 'resolved' certain aspects of conflict, but I won't say more than that because I don't want to spoil it. Evelyn (Evie) has made an expensive mistake at her graphic design job that could not only cost her money she doesn’t have, but it could cost her, her job. She is in love with her best friend but the timing has always been off so nothing has ever eventuated.
Needing cash fast to pay back her broody boss Logan for her work mistake, Evie turns to her friend Payton for help. Payton works at an exclusive sex club and has made an arrangement for Evie to participate at the club for one night so she can earn the money needed.
Now Evie is naked. blindfolded and bound to a table waiting to be chosen by a stranger willing to pay top dollar to have his way with her. (Oh this scene was really hot, like on fire hot)
But when the blindfold is removed the person in front of her is someone she already knows and she is not at all happy about it!
Despite ending on a cliff-hanger. It is not for Evelyn and Logan it is her roommate Payton’s, the heroine in the next book.

MY THOUGHTS:
This has been a really difficult book to review because although whilst I read intently and become fixated, at the same time struggled with it. In particular, one of the M/F/F scenes in the book. The first scene was alright because Evelyn was enjoying a new experience with two people she did not have an emotional connection to, but that’s a far cry from the second M/F/F encounter. That pinched a big nerve.
This is hard to explain without giving away spoilers so I am just going to say this; I like my hero’s/heroines to be completely absorbed with their heroine/hero. I do not want them to share one another, particularly when the third person is a close friend. I almost couldn’t continue reading it, I was trying to keep an open mind but I felt as though Evie was coaxed/manipulated into the scene and it just rubbed me the wrong way. I was so disappointed because I loved the rest of the book. In saying that though I still couldn’t put the bloody book down!
The cliffy is a killer! So of course I have to read the next book Three hard lessons because well it’s just too hot to not!
WARNING: 80% of this book is hot sex! Like hot erotic, steamy HOT sex! But all that aside there is a great storyline attached.

Shealea is responsible for this. Many thanks to her Instagram stories and bumped it on my tbr. True to her updates, Three Simple Rules is wild and raunchy. Menage a trois can be a hit or miss to me but this one is a hit. Nikki Sloane writes great sexy scenes, the mff scenes are surprisingly hot.
I almost rate it 4 stars but that moment is ruined when the hero pulled bullshit lies to the heroine. He may redeemed himself but I want him to grovel. Anyways, since this is a debut novel back in 2015 there's improvement in terms of plot and characterization. I am still looking forward to read Nikki Sloane's novels.

4.5 stars - this was fantastic and smutty. Evie made a mistake at work, and her asshole boss- Logan- has put her in a position where she has to pay 10 grand to fix her mistake or lose her job. So, she decided to do a one night only at her best friend Payton’s place of employment -a sex club where the women are blindfolded and bound and men bid to spend time with them. Evie is really enjoying herself with the man who paid 12 grand to be with her- but when he takes the blindfold off she’s looking up at none other than Logan. Who, apparently, has been wanting her for years.
This was really great. It was smutty, evie and Logan have an amazing connection and chemistry, there was just enough conflict for it to be entertaining but not too much that it was annoying or anxiety inducing. And Logan was dominant, possessive and cold but vocal about how attracted to and into evie he is from the start. The perfect combo and exactly what i wanted rn

I really liked how the hero had wanted the heroine for so long. I liked their characters.
Unfortunately I didn't like the 2 ménage scenes in the book. The first time the hero and heroine are together they have a ménage with another woman.
Later on in the book, the heroine's best friend and the heroine team up to give the hero a threesome for his birthday. The hero asks the heroine, if she's really ok with this, because he doesn't want to ruin their relationship. And he says I'm attracted to her (your best friend) but only if you want me to do her.
So of course, the hero and the heroine and the heroine's best friend have the threesome. And afterwards the hero and heroine talk about it, and the hero says well, it was nice that we shared that experience with each other but we shouldn't do it again.
I just didn't like that the hero was so willing to share her with other women. And the heroine had never had any kind of sexual contact with women before, but next thing you she's having 2 threesomes close together.
