It took me a few issues to get into this but by the end I was firmly on board. At only four issues, I just wish the collection was a little longer.

The story seems too convoluted and forced to me. Jumping between too many ideas and topics. I liked the first part in Anderson's head/psy state, but in general the conclusion of the rampaging Dark Judges felt quite forced.

The first (relatively) disappointing volume in the series. It takes a long time to get anywhere and could probably have been condenses with Vol. 5 into a much tighter storyline.

Judge Dredd, Vol. 6 has Judge Anderson trying to aid Dredd as he is propelled through the Sentient Ooze he encountered back along! :D This leads to a more time jumps throughout the book than you can shake a stick at but this all contributes to the breakneck pace of the story as every time Dredd emerges something has changed dramatically in the city giving us a new look at Mega City One! :D At the same time throughout Jude Cal's crackdowns and power craps keen the level of intrigue and rising unrest in the Mega City at an all time high so you never can really guess where the plot is going keeping you on your toes! :D Anderson and Dredd come across as brilliant throughout as expected as they are really brilliantly put through the ringer! :D

Judge Dredd, Vol. 6 art is brilliant and sharp and really brings the characters expressions and what they are going through into sharp focus! :D The panels move along at a terrific pace and this really aids the script keeping it pacey and action packed! :D

Judge Dredd, Vol. 6 is brilliant, clever, smart and inventive! :D It full of action, dynamic character building, world building and breakneck pace go and get it! :D

Volume 6 of the stories featuring Judge Dredd from IDW. It has three threads: one has Judge Anderson who, having lost her body, has psychically connected herself to Dredd. Dredd in turn is struggling to fight off the Dark Judges, who are currently contained in one sector of the city by the alien organism Dredd bought back from the Cursed Earth. Only Dredd can safely pass through the barrier, which disintegrates others.

But Dredd is not safe on either side of the barrier. On the outside is Judge Cal, head of the SJS, who has become acting Chief Judge in the absence of the Chief Judge and his council, who have been transported to Titan and are struggling to return to Earth. Cal has instituted a program to closely monitor citizens with surveillance drones and has labelled Dredd a fugitive.

This book—like Volume 5—is yet another filler leading to a bigger story. Although it isn't as forgettable as the previous volume, it is still lightweight. Only one Dark Judge appears in this book which is a good thing after the chaos of #5. Most of the book concerns Judge Anderson being in Judge Dredds's psyche and aiding him in battle. That is a big story for such a small book and that's still an issue. The pace is frantic, the action non-stop and the writing asks too many questions of the reader. I found nothing too memorable in this book and it seemed a little forced. I am hoping for better from Volume 7.

This volume of the series dives into a couple of interesting things. The first is the corruption of a judge in power, and how the problems that creates are, while not quite self-correcting, still pretty obvious and hard to hide. Also, the psychological impact of a sufficiently advanced society with sufficiently advanced surveillance gear being used to observe everyone and everything...now that's a scary scenario. Think of it...no privacy, every action witnessed and recorded. It would be like living on Facebook 24/7, but with police signed on as your friends...

Overview: We follow Judge Anderson's attempts to return to Megacity One in this volume, all the way back to the events of the previous books when she was stranded in a parallel reality. Meanwhile, Dredd must invade the old Sector One to save the Chief Justice and the Council of Five.

Pros: I'll solely spotlight the graphics again.

Cons: The series has gone completely off the rails by incorporating supernatural aspects into an exhaustive narrative to bring down Megacity One. Dredd battles to protect the city he claims as his, even though fresh opponents arise all the time. Slick plot.

Мертва псі-суддя в голові Дредда. Мертвий чудо-гель із поза меж міста. Мертві темні судді з виміру, де життя є злочином. Шиз триває.

The first issue of this volume is painted in most amazing way. I have not felt a need to physically own comic book in a long time but I need to have issue #21

Starting to see more universe cohesion, at the very least. 2.5/5.
