This was aimed at kids so I'm rating it as such. For an adult read it's entertaining but kids would probably love it. It's a somewhat crude art style but fits the story well. It's pretty funny and very over the top. If you like the Mask character it's worth a read but if you have a child that likes the Mask character even better.

A family friendly Mask? It kind of works. This series is primary colors and crayon-covered, and the Mask is wild and insane but still work safe, as it is worn by a mild mannered man, various animals, a mayor, and a grandmother. It's silly and slight, but also exuberant, which is something I can't say of a lot of things. Worth a look, but only if you're not hyper-fixated on plot or causality.

Good Mask fun in the Aw Yeah! tradition. The Mask finds its way to a grandma, a zoo, a mayor, and a superhero. The AYC team is having a ball.

The best Comic book ever, because of its hilarious episodial stories after each chapter. What was interesting was that there were more than one characters that would seem realistic, yet the story is completely fictional. I loved the journey that the masks goes over because it is never ending.
The artistic style is in form of Cartoon art, though large text and caricatures. The plot stays the same in all chapters but happens with different characters, while the problem gets bigger each time. This Graphic novel reminds me of a superhero comic, and that is what I believe the author intended it to be.

This was a nice alternative to the blood and guts of the original Mask comics. It uses the tried and true formula that Baltazar and Franco have used when adapting other properties. It was colorful and fun.

I read this in advance of discussing the much-maligned sequel to Jim Carrey's "The Mask." While you should never ever watch "Son of the Mask," you can tune in to our discussion here:

It was okay and funny but clearly meant for small children and not fans of the movie the Mask. Don't really want to give it a bad review because it's not a bad story (it's funny little stories) or ugly art style (for kids) but not really something i would like in my recommendation feed.

Not as good as the other Itty Bitty stories, but still cute with fun moments.
Grandma's pancake rampage almost makes it all worth while.

In the years to come, I am sure plenty of people will point to the work of Franco and Baltazar as what got them into comics.
