I still want more!! Book #5 in the Mitchell family series, be sure to read 1-4.5 before starting this one. I have one word for you - Wow!!! This was a great continuation of the series. It could almost be standalone if it wasn't for the bit with Heather. I liked how the story started when Conner moved North Carolina and not just at the end of the Christmas party from book 4.5. It helped build the unknown relationship between Conner and Amy which had been hinted at in the previous 2 books. Somehow both Ty and Conner start out very cocky in their stories, but by the 2nd chapter of their stories you are routing for them and by the end they don't seem cocky at all. Most of the time it is just a façade they are putting on to fill the big macho guys role. In Conner and Amy's story we follow the two of them thru a relationship from hate to love as Amy is trying to escape an abusive husband and keep her business in her name. Glad to see book 6 will focus more on Conner and Amy, hopefully their happy ever after, as she is still married at the end of book 5... stay turned.

Saving Us (Mitchell Family, #6)
Brave Blaze + Cocky Conner - Repulsive Rick = Happiness Book #6 in the Mitchell Family series starts off right where book 5 ended - with Conner and Amy in bed. Cocky Conner is hot as ever, but he does show is softer and more gentle side several times in this story. I love that this series continues to revolve around Colt, Ty, Conner, and Miranda. Each story we get to hear more about what is going on with them, they might have their happy ever after, but their story hasn't ended! As with all of the Mitchell books there are pranks, lots and lots of love, and a bad guy (or girl) who needs to be taken down a peg or two...
After trying to stay away from Conner for a long time Amy had given in. At some point while Conner was taking care of her, since her no good abusive husband - Rick - was worthless, she fell in love. Still married, but separated and now pregnant, Amy and Conner were living with Ty and Miranda. When Heather (a bad girl from the past) pops back up no one wants to trust her, but it seems Rick is threatening both Amy and Heather. After Rick destroys Amy's hair salon, she and Conner flea North Carolina in hopes of starting over safely until Rick is caught...
Favorite passage: "I won't let nothin' happen to you, Amy. I hope you know that." "I do. It's what scares me the most. I'm afraid of what you might be willing to do to protect me. Conner, I can't have you out there trying to be a hero. I want you here with me."
New fact: bologna is like a flat hot dog - never thought of that before ;0

Blinding Trust (Mitchell Family, #7)
Another Mitchell Hot and Humorous Hit! I have loved all of these books so far! They continue right from the place the last one left off and keep sharing more news about each person in the Mitchell family. I love the cockiness of Ty and Conner, but in this book we get to see the softer side of Ty. He has so grown up over the last 10+ years from Van's boyfriend, in a coma from crashing while driving drunk on the way home from a party. Now he is a loving husband to Miranda and their three kids, as well as taking care of the rest of the Mitchell's when needed. And now a bit about this story...
Noah's uncle, a long lost relative, comes back and starts to drive a wedge between Savanna and Colt. Just before Colt is about to go out of town Savanna gets some bad news, but decides to keep it to herself. While Colt and Noah are out visiting Noah's uncle, Savanna just needs someone to talk to, so she calls Miranda - but Ty answers. He can tell something is wrong and finally drags it out of her. In no time he is on a flight from North Carolina to Kentucky to help take care of her and her girls. When Colt comes home early, he thinks the worst and has given Ty a black eye before they can explain anything. Once he kinds out what is really going on he comes around real quick and goes back to being the strong and loving the father and husband we have grown to love. Give this series or story a try, you will not be sorry.
Favorite passages: She was playing some game on her kindle that she played every night before bed. ... "Are you goin' to put down that game and give me some lovin'"... I heard her little reading device hit the floor and I knew I had her complete attention. --> this reminded me so much of me, I read instead of play games, but take my kindle to bed every night ;)
Flashback: I ran my hands across his cheek, spreading a trail of dirt everywhere I touched. Mud ran down his chest and as the lightning continued to strick, I could see just how dirty he was. --> I'm going to think of this every time it rains now ;)

Losing Him (Mitchell Family, #8)
Heart wrenching story of redemption. Book #8 in the Mitchell series -- I have to tell you I love these books. They are easy to read and hard to put down! But for this one, you will need some tissues handy, the beginning was sad and I had a very emotional response. I did surprise myself when I was on Heather's side - after her past and hating her in other books, I was surprised when I was routing for her in this story! And now a bit about the book...
It has been about 5 years since we last visited with the Mitchell clan. Heather, who almost destroyed Ty and Miranda, is coming home to bury her mother. She is a single mother with a 5 year old son and has an on again off again boyfriend who happens to be the father of her son in her life. She is desperately in love with him, but she won't tell him about her past and he won't move forward until he knows. After the stress of the funeral she finally tells him most of it, but when he discovers the bit she left out, he leaves again. There is lots of love and tragedy in this book, give it a try and see who Heather makes you feel!
Favorite quotes: - As sorry as I was that she’d been through Hell and back, I couldn’t condone her lying to me. I was willing to forgive her for everything, if she’d just come clean. - Maybe one day Jessie would be able to be true to me and to himself about what he wanted, but for now, he was too fickle. I couldn’t depend on someone that changed their mind every five days. - “My mother told me that if I loved something I should let it go. Jessie, I will never know what your intentions are until I know for sure what I want. I love you so much. I think you know that. Being a family is something that I’ve always dreamed of. I just can’t do it and wonder how we got here. I can’t be with you when I feel like it’s out of pity.” - I should have said that I loved her, but I didn’t. I let her walk away without a fight, because it was all I knew how to do. - "...if you love her, fight for her."

Loving Her (Mitchell Family, #9)
Nothing hurts more than when your child is hurting... Talk about ripping our hears out... One moment you are laughing until you cry (the twins are quite the trouble maker - especially with bananas in public and the tub scene at the beach) and the next you are sad and have totally different type of tears running down your face (Sam, poor Ty, etc). I don't like to give too much away though, so you'll have to read the book to see the full story, but here is a bit about the final Mitchell family book...
Bella or Izzy (depending on which parent is talking) is 11 and has been the light of Ty's life. When he finds her burning up one morning he thinks his life is over. He jumps in a cold bath with her while Miranda calls 911. It takes them a while, but they do figure out what's wrong, a month later she gets release from the hospital. The family goes to Kentucky to celebrate her release and is greeted with sad news. Sam (Colt and later Noah's best buddy and dog) has passed away in her sleep. Ty has a great idea to make everyone happy ... he takes Izzy puppy shopping - a decision which could end his relationship with her forever...
Give this book a try to see what happens with Ty and his daughter Izzy!
Don't worry ... I did say this was the FINAL Mitchell book, but coming up next is all the kids stories in the Mitchell/Healy series - starting with Noah!
Favorite passages: - “My motto was always ‘if it tasted good, you eat it’...” - “You were born in the backseat and from the moment I saw your beautiful face, everything changed for me. I never felt love like I felt for you, instantly, as if I was meant to feel that way about you. You changed me and made me want to be different. Everything I have is because of the love you showed me.”
This series was amazeballs! So much so, I'd rate it higher than 5 stars. Jennifer Foor continues to bring you awesome stories that keep your noses glued to your ereader & then when you think all is good...BAM! Plot twist! There's not one of these novels I could be torn away from. If you like hot Cowboys with strong women, please please please check out this series. You won't be disappointed.
I read all the books in this series and enjoyed them all. Just be aware that if you don't like reading about sex, then you might want to skip this. There are plenty of hot well written scenes to keep you interested. Also, some heart warming ones that make you like and hate some of the characters. Worth the time. Enjoy it. 😈 😉
I just loved this series and this family! I can't wait to catch up with the kids!!! Awesome job you kept me pulled into this families dynamics,I laughed and cried and laughed some more!
Once again this Conclusion to the series could have received a 4 or 5 star if it was edited correctly, There were timeline issues that confused me as well but the overall story was decent. A little too predictable for my liking but the series could be really good if it was cleaned up.
Conner Healy used to love to party just like Tyler Mitchell but when the latter settled down and got married to the former's sister Miranda. Conner still partied like there was no tomorrow, he was getting out of control.
Along with Colt and Ty, they wanted to expand the family business; Connor's help was needed but the way he was going they all feared he would end up hurting himself or worse someone else. Despite them having reservations, Miranda and Ty allowed Conner to mve to North Carolina with them.
At first things were hard for him slowly but surely he hot his act together, he met some of Ty and Miranda's friends. He was doing much better, he still had his womanizer ways. But there was one woman that caught his attention, she was Miranda's friend and boss, Amy.
Amy was in an abusive marriage, her husband Rick was a drunk. He loved taling out his frustration out on her, Amy didn't want to leave cause everything she had was in Rick's name. Conner couldn't bear the thought of Amy staying with Rick, he was her friend and wanted her to be safe. Their friendship developed into something more.
And when his sister Miranda was on the verge of losing her family, Connor was willing to sacrifice what he and Amy had to safe Miranda's family. Amy and Connor put all their cards on the table and they weren't about to let anything nor anyone keep them apart.
Saving Us
The story picked up where WANTING MORE left off with Connor and Amy deciding to be together and starting a family.
The Mitchells accepted Amy as one of their own right away, Bella called didn't she when she told Connor that he vould marry aunt Amy. Speaking of Bella, she and Noah are such hellions but they are adorable.
As Connor and Amy were enjoying their happiness, they knew they had to take care of getting Amy legally separated from Rick. The man didn't make things easy for them but they never wavered in their quest.
Along the way they found themselves with surprising allies, new understanding and a lot of answers to their questions regarding why Rick was hellbent on keeping Amy with him.
Blinding Trust
It has been five years since the Mitchell family had any kind of chaos thrown their way. Life have been great in for this amazing family in Kentucky and North Carolina. Colt and Savanna had a new addition to their family, Addison.
Conner and Amy added two more additions to their family, Joshua and Callie while Ty and Miranda's twins became such little hellions like their dad. Everything was going smoothly for them that was until Noah's maternal uncle showed up and turned Savanna and Colt's lives upside down.
Savanna got some bad news and kept it to herself, eventually she decides to share it with someone. That's when she called up Miranda but Ty answered instead, he knows that something is wrong. Before long Savanna shared her ordeal with Ty and the latter was on a plane heading to Kentucky to help his friend out.
Colt retuned back home and got the wrong idea, he pushed Ty. When things calmed down, Colt realized his mistake and he's there for Savanna in her tome of need. Love how Ty handled the situation.
Losing Him
Former Bad Heather (we met her in the previous books) came back home to bury her mother. She has a five-years-old son and his in love with her son's father, Jessie. But Jessie can't seem to move forward in their relationship when Heather wasn't willing to opening up about her past.
When she finally told him about her past, ahe left some critical informations out needless to say that didn't sit well with Jessie when he found out Heather's whole past. He left her.
Heather finally got her HEA, she redeemed herself in such way that I found myself rooting for her.
Loving Her
One morning Ty found Izzy running a high fever, he thought he would die seeing his precious baby girl in so much pain, he jumped in the tub while Miranda called 911.
Fast forward a month later, Miranda, Ty, Bella/Izzy and the twins went to Kentucky to celebrate Izzy's release. Upon arriving they are hit with some sad news, Sam (Colt and then Noah's dog) has passed away.
Seeing the kids sad, Ty decided to take Izzy to get a new puppy. While they were puppy shopping, Ty and Izzy ran into someone from the paat that had it out for Miranda and Ty.
Izzy/Bella found out some information that could break this Mitchell household, the way she handled it was understandable but it was heart-wrenching.
Loved how Miranda and especially Ty handled everything. This book just about ripped my heart out.
THE MITCHELL FAMILY SERIES VOLUME 5-9 box set was incredible. Jennifer Foor took me on one of the best emotional rollercoaster ride ever. I laughed, cried, screamed and I enjoyed every second of it. Fabulous job!
Book 5- the story of Conner and Amy. This book basically recaps the past 3 filling in the gaps of Conners life in those books. Amy is in an abusive marriage. She is afraid to leave her husband due to his owning everything. Her car, her salon and has no money. Conner makes her feel safe and she confides her problems in him. They have been there for each other; she for his substance abuse withdrawal and she in turn shared her problems with him. By the end of the book we are at the end of the Novella of A Mitchell Christmas and they come clean to the family of their relationship.
Book 6 – Saving Us – Conner and Amy continue their relationship. Amy’s husband continues to be a problem, she finally leaves him but he continues to threaten her. Amy finds out that she is pregnant with Conners baby. His daughter gives additional information that proves that Amy’s salon belongs to her and not Rick. He also has a secret past. They move to Kentucky to keep Amy safe from him but he finds her and tries to kidnap her, he ends up shooting Conner and she kills him. After their baby is born they get married. The epilogue is 5 years in the future and she is pregnant with their 4th child.
Book 7 – Blinding Trust - Savanna and Colt - Its 5 years in the future, they have Noah, Christian and Addison. Noah’s real mother’s brother comes back into their lives. He wants a relationship with Noah. Turns out he is a big rock star and Noah is infatuated with his lifestyle. This causes huge problems between Noah, Savanna and Colt. Noah starts rebelling and hurts Savanna terribly. During a trip out to visit Zeke, Savanna is left home and finds out she is facing a breast cancer diagnosis. This also causes additional strain on their marriage. Ty is there for her until Colt gets back causing even more problems. Zeke was only using Noah to give him good publicity and this makes him want his mom back. Through out the surgeries everyone comes together and the book ends on Colt and Savanna renewing their vows again.
Book 8 – Loosing Him - Heather and Jessie - We come full circle to Heathers story and Ty finally taking ownership of his actions from the past, his treatment of her. Heathers mother pass’s away from cancer and she comes back to town to lay her to rest. Jessie come back with her to help with their son Jacob. She finally come clean with her whole past to him, what was keeping him from trusting her after finding out the truth about her and his father. She still leaves out a small detail of what happened with Miranda and giving her the pictures and he leaves her and takes Jacob with him. She starts drinking and goes out to the farm to confront Tyler for his past actions and blames him for having nothing an no one in her life. She leaves and is in an terrible car accident. This wakes Jessie up and also makes Heather realize she needs to create her own happiness. She sets out to live in her mothers house in NC without him and get a job. Jessie proposes and they get married and become the family they both want for their son.
Book 9 - Back to Miranda and Ty, Izzy comes down with Rocky Mtn spotted fever and is hospitalized for weeks. After recovering the family needs a break and goes to Kentucky to visit. Once arriving they have to deal with the death of Sam and everyone being so sad. Ty decides to get a puppy to cheer everyone up and when they go pick it up the lady mentions that Izzy was the daughter of Miranda and Tucker. This opens up a whole can of worms. Izzy starts investigating and is so devastated over the news that she starts acting out and hurting everyone in the family. Very nice conclusion to this series.
I love series books and what enjoyed most is that these weren't 10 books about 10 different couples but rather the lives and tragedies of the couples we fell in love with initially....we watch then grow and learn from dating, early marriage and the difficulties that come with parenthood, blended families, life threatening circumstances and situations that test their relationships, trust and love.
I loved the first box set of this series and I loved this one just as much. This family has a special place in my heart with their craziness, their commitment and love for each other and the heart ache they go through.
Whilst we got glimpses in the first box set of Conner and Amy's story, we get the full heart break and horror of Amy's life with her husband Rick and her attempts to leave him. These women are unbelievably strong, compassionate, and passionate.
I was not looking forward to Heather's story after the destruction she caused in the first box set and, while I don't love her as a character, I have a better understanding for her and have a lot of empathy for her. No one deserves to have gone through what she goes through and she is misunderstood and passionate.
I loved the fact that we got to catch up with Colt and Van, and Miranda and Tyler and their families as life doesn't always run smoothly. They certainly go through the mill again and heartbreak is never far away. Their strength as a family unit stands out as they stand together to support each other through the ups and downs.
OMG! I loved this series! This poor familia had so many herdles to jump over. So many laughs, tears, and angry out bursts. I shouting at some of these characters for their apulding behaviors I just wanted to throw my nexus to the wall. All my emotions were every where. I was laughing and shouting with Tye and Miranda. Then yelling and crying for Heather (could have bounced her of the wall). Connor and Amy..Argh! poor things they suffered so much. This was a hot story too. Cold showers ...buuurrr! I can't wait to read the next instalments.. got Noah's story. starting today.
WOW! I really, really enjoyed this set of books, because all the characters had a story to tell. They all were going through or had been though something. Things worked out for them all in the end. They married had kids. Oh they had some crazy times, but the family stuck together. Great read. There's a lot going on. I loved the way they made up. I recommend this book to all romance readers. GREAT book!!!!!!
I love J4's writing style, I mean she is so generous with the details and the length of her books. You climb in this world and never feel rushed to the end. You feel like you live in this world with her characters and you know each and everyone like they are your own family.
Omg! This series is a must read! You will laugh and cry through the whole series. All the characters are unforgettable. I have never read a series that had left me with so much emotion after reading. I will never forget these characters and look forward to reading the next books to come from these characters. Great writing from Jennifer Foor she is awesome.
Loving Her is the 9th and Final book in the Mitchell Family Series. I really enjoyed Loving Her. Loving Her was an amazing ending to an amazing series. I can't wait to continue with the Spin-off Series.
The second part stories 5-9 were just as wonderful as the first part. I can not wait until I can read about all the kids grown up stories. Such a wonderful author. Thank you...
How can you not love the Mitchell family? They are so amazing and you can't help but laugh and cry with them. You even get to find out what happens with Heather. I can't wait to read more about the kids all grown up!!!
This is a great series to read! Loved how the author made everything feel so real. Romance, drama, humor, and heartbreak all rolled up in one. I could go from crying one minute to rolling on the floor the next.
This series is one of the best series I have ever read. It takes you thru all the heartache and happiness of the family, while still hitting on events that happen in everyday peoples lives.
The Mitchell Family series part 2 is absolutely great. This is a book about a family that gives they all for FAMILY. Nothing or no one will come between the Mitchell's.
Fantastic series, love the characters and seeing how their lives changed with the arrival of all the kids, they've definitely got their hands full. Highly recommended
