This book is a prime example of suspenseful, atmospheric storytelling, it kept me turning the pages all the way. It was fun learning about this world and all its secrets and watching the characters trying to balance everything. I totally loved the ending!
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed this story. I was expecting the typical cozy romance story, but it didn't focus on the romance. It was engaging and a fast read. I liked the story and am looking forward to reading the next book. The only thing that was annoying for me were the typos, but I think that should be taken care of with the release.
The Witch's Inheritance is a fantastic start to Lyssa Lund’s new series, A Silver Mist Cove Cozy Mystery. It is also the first book by Lyssa Lund I have read, and I am sure it won’t be the last.
I was drawn into Paris’s world the moment I started reading The Witch's Inheritance, with all its many twists and turns that kept the pages turning. The vibrant characters and intriguing plot made it impossible to put down, leaving me eager for the next installment.
As the mystery deepened, I found myself fully invested in Paris's journey, craving more of the enchanting atmosphere Lund has created. The suspense surrounding Paris’s past is also what kept me hooked.

When Paris and two friends were kidnapped several years ago, no one believed them. Paris moved away and recently returned and still, after all these years she is ostracized. Arriving to attend her mentor Helena’s funeral she discoverers that Helena’s nephew and she are both give her home to be equally shared. Luckily, she discovers that her two friends, Ginger and Sage are both back in town and with Paris suddenly discovering she has magic, she asks them for their help in finding what really happened years ago. This is a wonderful, magical story. I look forward to the next book in the series. This is my honest and voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

Whew! I had to read this in one sitting! Well developed characters, intriguing story, complicated mysteries, and magic! I’m greatly looking forward to the next book in this series.
This was a very intriguing story. I enjoyed all the characters and with each page you were kept guessing with all the twist and turns. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next.
This book was so good, i couldn't put it down. Finn and Paris were such a delight to follow as they try to unravel Helena's breadcrumbs she scattered about and the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Paris, Sage, and Ginger, when they were 16 yrs old. Finn is the strong and steady one, Paris's calming constant in the chaos. Paris is the emotional center with a huge heart. Will Finn and the women find all their answers or is there more to the story? I just loved this book and couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next one!
Paris discovers a lot about her past, which has haunted her most of her life. As things are revealed, she is faced with the truth of her natural gifts which had not manifested before. This was the start of a new series about coming into ones own and finding true friendship. An enjoyable start. I look forward to seeing where her journey leads her now that so much has been revealed.
The Witch’s Inheritance by Lyssa Lund is a witchy mystery that really takes its time, slowly feeding you the story piece by piece. It’s like the author is laying down each stone on a winding path, leading you to that final chapter where all the secrets finally come together. The pacing might feel slow at first, but if you’re willing to give it a chance, it pays off in the end. This is a great read for anyone who loves mysterious vibes with a magical twist.
This is the first novel that I have had the pleasure of reading by the author Lyssa Lund and it’s the first book in her new series - The Silver Mist Cove Trilogy.
The front cover drew me in and gave me Bewitched vibes so this was a must read for me.
Who wouldn’t be drawn in to a murder mystery with a magical twist thrown into the mix.
I didn’t know what to expect with this book, so I put on my lounge wear, poured a brew and decided to settle in for the evening and as soon as I started the first chapter I was just drawn in and fascinated with the story.
Paris returns to her childhood home so she can pay her respect after finding out her mentor suddenly passes away, but she gets more than she bargained for when secrets from her past return to haunt her and that’s when the plot thickens.
The characters I thought were great, likeable and really well developed.

This is the first book in a fantastic new trilogy that keeps you turning pages once you begin. The characters were great and with so many twists and turns in the story line that keeps you hooked. Paris, after many years and a haunted past, returns to Silver Mist Cove to pay her respects at Helena's funeral, a friend of her mother's and the head of the coven. She is still looking for answers to what happened to her, Grace and Sage when they were 16. She finds Helena left her house to both her and her son Finn. But when Paris and Finn go into Helena's house, they find a man lying on the floor. Will Paris, Finn and the girls find the answers? Who wants the secrets kept hidden enough to kill? And is it connected in some way to the girls' kidnapping years ago? The characters are so well written and the story line is full of twists and turns that keeps you guessing. I can't wait for the next book. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
After Paris Hollyman returns to Silver Mist Cove for the funeral of her former mentor, Helena Ferryworth, she is surprised to learn that she has inherited half of Helena’s Manor, with the other half bequeathed to Paris’ former crush, Finn Whitlock. And she is even more surprised to find a body in the Manor’s entryway! Renewing her friendship with her best friends Sage and Ginger, Paris tries to unravel the mystery of the man’s murder and the magical mysteries surrounding the leylines in Silver Mist Cove. This is a great witchy cozy! There are many plots within the main story and they are all blended together seamlessly! So many secrets and mysteries to solve- I just LOVED it! And I can't wait to read the next book and witness the blossoming romance between Paris and Finn. I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and I am pleased to leave this voluntary review!
Come visit a magical town hiding in plain sight, at least during tourist season! If you like urban fantasy with a splash of romance, deep bonds of friendship, murder mystery, amnesia, and self discovery then you'll love this story! In this town, the magical residents don't learn they're magical until well into adulthood. Hard to imagine. The adults work very hard to keep it hidden. I loved the easy relationship between Paris and Finn. I definitely recommend giving this a read!
What a way to start of a new and exciting series. A little murder mystery and connection to Paris' past set the investigation on a path full of magic and intrigue. This was a fun story that I could not get enough of as each supporting character added another layer to the plot. I can't wait for the next installment and mystery to come.
Silver Mist Cove is a magical place. If you love books about people discovering the have magical abilities, murder, a touch of romance, likeable characters and friendship then I'm sure you are going to love this one. I can only recommend it and I’m looking forward to the next book. I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving a voluntary and honest review.
This book was hard to put down. What a great way to start the series. I really love these characters. They are all so likable. The murder and mystery that they solved shocked me! I did not guess who the kidnapper and murderer were. Absolutely fantastic! Oh, I also loved Suger. He reminds me of my chihuahua, Sweetee!
This was Practical Magic and Halloweentown’s quirky younger sister. It was fun, it was SO deliciously cozy, and I genuinely loved all the characters and their warm, magical vibes. I love books where female friendships take center stage and this felt like that (with some clean, sweet romance thrown in). Sugar was, of course, the MVP of the book and I hope he makes appearances in the next two.
A magically cozy mystery. Curled up with a soothing cup of tea and began to read. Before I knew it I had read the entire book. Likeable characters and world descriptions. I can't wait for the next book.
Really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next book. The characters are entertaining and unique. The storyline kept me interested and entertained. Preordered book 2. On to the next adventure😁
This was a very original book concept. Lyssa Lund put together a great cast of characters. The plotting was deep with situations that had been hidden for decades. A really great wrap up.
An amazing first book in a new series that won’t disappoint. Going back home turns into a surprise for Paris. Full of secrets, will she figure it out. Absolutely delightful, can’t wait for the next book.
I give the story 5 stars, but the number of completely incorrect words (typos?) pulls the score down. Please, Lyssa, be more careful with what you put out. Someone is going to have to be quite careful editing.
Mystery, murder and a little mayhem. This book grabbed my attention from page one. Can you go back and what is waiting for you there? I didnt want it to end - and now I am waiting for book 2.
