Why is nobody talking about how he totally took advantage of her? If she was actually that drunk the should have noticed and not have sex with her.

Story seems abbreviated and I didn't buy all the love. Even the way they spoke to each other...ugh.

The amazing Milly Taiden has yet done it again. Her down to the point writing and beyond too hot alpha men leave every women needing a cold glass of water. Add her smoking hot sex and a cold shower or BOB may be needed. I love reading Ms. Milly books she has book series that make you can’t wait for the next to see what she will come up with next!

Ciara Ortiz a baker by profession ran from the snow mountain pack as soon as she could. She is going home to make her brothers groom cake. One bad date as a teen and the women saying the future alpha needs a shifter as a mate had kept her visits home very few but now with her brother’s wedding there was no escape from seeing him again.
Rykan snow the alpha of the snow mountain pack had always known who his mate was. For some reasons she only came home when he was away. This time she wouldn’t escape so easily. They needed to talk. When he shows up things take an unexpected turn. She has been drinking and thinks its all a dream.
When Ciara shows up with a guy claiming to be her boyfriend how will Rykan deal with it?

Hot Hot Hot! Can I have me a man like Ryker? Please? I promise to be good? Sexy, alpha male who knows what he wants and how to get it! I love Cici and how she tries to fight her attraction. She almost loses out on the one thing she wants most by being stubborn. This is a great little read with huge hot sexiness and a little drama. I'd love to know more about some of the characters and wish it had been longer, but this is so worth a quick hot read!

Super hot and fast read
Another scorcher from Milly Taiden. This was super sweet and a very hot read.
I adored Ryker and how determined he was that Ciara was going to be his mate. Ciara just had to get over her fears and accept him too.
I hope that this turns into a series and we can get stories for other characters in the book.

WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT???!!!! This book was what 20 pages? Can it even be considered an actual book? I guess it’s my own fault for not checking the length. Ok so in a nutshell shifter falls for nonshifter she thinks he deserves someone more suited. She runs for years only to show up for her brother’s wedding and one drunken mistake later we’re at the HEA. This isn’t even a novella 🤣🤣

Another hot read, the lead female is awesome I loved her. A well written short which Mrs Taiden is the mistress of. But now I need more, I need more on these shifters, I want more of the shifters changing & lots more of the greatness of Milly's writing.

This was short and sweet! It was a great story about how we often allow the words and opinions of others determined what we do. It is always great to see a person push through and go for what they want. Loved this book!

This is not my first time listening to a book by Milly Taiden, but this one was my least favorite. I agree that it would have been a little better with a different voice actor, but that wasn't even in my top three reasons why I can't completely get behind this book.
First, taking advantage of someone while they are drunk?! Only a person with no morals would do that.
Second, the fact that her mom had no problem with that. Even if they both have feelings for each other, what parent would be okay with someone going into their drunk child's room to have sex with them without their permission? But let's say mom didn't realize she was drunk, why then when it was made clear wasn't she upset? Even if you know that both people love each other, you're pretty much condoning anything he did to her including rape in a misguided need to get them together. Before ANY sexualized act was done they needed to have a sober conversation so both people involved could give INFORMED CONSENT!
Third, the fact that he didn't acknowledge his wrong doing. Even when she told him she was drunk and didn't know it was real, he felt no remorse. No, "I'm sorry" , "It was a mistake", or anything showing that he felt he did something wrong before she just spread her legs like all was forgiven.

Nothing special in this story. Young age causes problems.
Heroine believes she is not good enough to be the alphas mate as she is human, so she leaves the pack.
Alpha knew she was his years previously but he waits for her to return rather than chase her.
Lack of communication and jealous females add to the problem.
When Ciara comes home for her brothers wedding, Ryker hopes he can persuade her to finally stay.
I just didn’t like the fact these two get together when Ciara is falling down drunk plastered.
Ryker should have been more gentlemanly even though CiCi was throwing herself at him.
I just want to know if Ryker has been celibate waiting for her.

I am not into steamy romances at all but this was okay for me. it was far better from the horrible books I encountered in April. It was short. It was not even 2 hours longs and I listened to the audiobook. I felt it was refreshing. It had some very steamy parts which I was uncomfortable with but the story in whole was good. Atleast I picked it up to get out of slump and I did too. I loved the plot and the shape-shifter element. It was my first ever shape-shifter romance and I think I will dive into more of these.

I felt gross while reading this. I can't get past the fact that a man took sexual advantage of a sleeping, drunk woman that he claims to love and every character is ok with that. Cici is mad for like a minute, but she forgives him because he's hot and she's loved him since childhood. He doesn't even attempt to apologize for his actions, and she, her mom, her brother, her best friends are all like, you've loved each other since childhood so it's about time you got together. The dialogue between the characters was awkward and there wasn't much of a story other than the hot sex they've been craving for years. As a side note, this was a "novella", not a full novel.

I would not pay for this book
If this book what's on Kindle unlimited it would be worth reading but $2.99 is overpriced for the book. The story there's really not much to it. She comes home and within hours of coming home has already hooked up with the guy and they keep hooking up. She doesn't really resist him the story is just like if I were telling you a story about my daily life. It really is just not worth it to pay for the story.

Nice short story!
This was well done as is everything I have read\listened to by this author. I chose this book because it was offered in audio. I was looking for well written, nice narration, back up ebook, and a short, between bigger books,Interesting book. That's exactly what you will get with this choice.

This was a dirty little story, but it was a good one. I enjoyed this quick little read/listen. The narrator, Lauren Sweet, did a good job performing it. I think it would be even better if it was expanded into a full length novel, but it's still good as is. Ok, off to read/listen to more.
